Egypt, Jordan and Israel Tours & Trips
Have you thought about doing three countries in one trip? Walk through Jerusalem's old city where everything feels heavy with history, float in the Dead Sea reading a book, explore Petra's Treasury (way better in person), get lost in Cairo's Khan el-Khalili bazaar, stand beside the Pyramids at Giza, and visit sites you've only seen in documentaries. Three ancient worlds properly explored.

Best time to visit Egypt, Jordan and Israel
- Winter 2025 / 2026
Winter really shines for exploring Egypt, Jordan and Israel together without summer's intense heat. The 17-day option includes a proper Nile cruise where you can see temples with far fewer tourists around. Our guests particularly enjoy camping in Wadi Rum this time of year - the winter desert sky puts on an amazing star show right above your Bedouin tent. We've added extra time at Cairo's Egyptian Museum and our travelers love getting to Petra early, before the crowds arrive. The mild weather makes walking through Jerusalem's historic areas much more comfortable too.

- Spring 2026
Spring hits the sweet spot for these multi-country journeys. Our 12-day tours with Nile cruising work especially well from March through May when the weather's just right for exploring temples and heading into the desert. Our customers tell us they can really take their time in both the Valley of the Kings and Jerusalem's Old City without the heat getting in the way. It's perfect timing for the Dead Sea too - you can float in those mineral-rich waters and still have energy for afternoon exploring. The spring desert wildflowers in Wadi Rum add splashes of color against the red rocks, which is why many guests choose tours with extra time there.

- Summer 2026
Summer tours need smart planning but come with their own perks. Our 14-day itineraries start early and mix in museum visits during the hottest part of the day. When things cool down in the evening, we head out for sunset felucca rides on the Nile and twilight walks through Old Jerusalem. The cruise portion gives everyone a comfortable break mid-trip. We've added more swimming stops along the Jordan segment, with plenty of time at both Dead and Red Sea resorts. Our travelers often mention how much they value guides who know exactly when to plan outdoor activities during these warmer months.

- Fall / Autumn 2026
Autumn offers another perfect window for exploring these three countries. From September through November, our tours include more outdoor activities thanks to the pleasant temperatures. The 13-day combination trips give you extra time walking through Petra and exploring Jerusalem's different quarters. The fall weather makes desert camping really special - you get comfortable days for jeep safaris and lovely evenings for traditional Bedouin dinners under the stars. Nile cruising feels different this time of year too, with perfect weather for dining on deck and watching daily life unfold along the riverbanks.

Is it safe to travel to Egypt, Jordan, and Israel?
Look, safety's naturally a big concern when you're thinking about these destinations but here's the thing - millions of tourists visit every year without any problems. We work with local operators who really know their stuff and stay on top of what's happening in the region. You'll want to check your country's travel advisories for the latest updates but our travelers consistently tell us they feel secure especially in Jordan where the locals are just incredibly welcoming. One of our guests on the Pyramids Petra Promised Land 19-day trip mentioned how smoothly everything went right from the start saying "We arrived in Cairo and our On The Go rep got us through Customs super quick and straight to the hotel." Another traveler put it simply: "We felt safe the whole time and had a blast!"
How many days do I need to see Egypt, Jordan, and Israel?
You're looking at 10 to 14 days minimum to really do these amazing places justice. That gives you enough time to experience those bucket-list spots like the Pyramids Petra and Jerusalem's Old City without feeling rushed. Our 10-day tour hits all the highlights but if you can stretch it to 17 or 19 days you'll get so much more out of it. Think about cruising down the Nile spending time at Mount Sinai or floating in the Dead Sea. The 19-day tour actually includes a lovely 2-night felucca cruise on the Nile plus Mount Sinai and the Dead Sea experience it's really comprehensive.
Should I book a guided tour or travel independently?
You've got options here and both have their perks. Guided tours take care of all the complicated stuff like border crossings and transportation plus you get amazing insights from local experts who really know their history. Going solo gives you more flexibility sure but here's the thing - this region can be tricky to navigate on your own. Most travelers find guided tours just make everything easier and more relaxed. One of our guests on the 12-day Israel Jordan and Egypt with Nile Cruise tour really appreciated their guide Ahmad saying he "shared fascinating histories everywhere we went and gave us plenty of time for photos."
Which local dishes should I try during my trip?
The food here's incredible and each country brings something special to the table. In Egypt you've got to try Kushari - it's this amazing mix of rice lentils pasta and chickpeas with this spicy tomato sauce on top. When you're in Jordan don't miss Mansaf - it's this traditional Bedouin dish with lamb cooked in fermented yogurt sauce served over rice. Israel's food scene is super diverse you'll find amazing Hummus that's nothing like what you get back home and the Falafel served in fresh pita bread is just incredible.
