7 Day Greece Itinerary, incl. Athens and Santorini
A 7-day Greek getaway takes you to Paros' Lefkes village and Kolymbithres Beach, Ios' 7 different shores with included snorkeling at Neverbay, and Santorini's stunning caldera. Rich with orientation walks, beach tours, and traditional village visits.

- Day 1
Athens
Begin your trip in Athens and stay in the Plaka neighborhood. It's an ideal central location within walking distance to major attractions. "The winding streets of Plaka are perfect for getting lost and finding hidden tavernas away from tourist crowds," according to a recent visitor. Plan for late dinners since most restaurants don't get busy until after 8 PM.

- Day 2
Athens to Paros (4 hours by ferry)
Take a morning ferry from Piraeus port to Paros. Get there 90 minutes early since the port gets busy and confusing. Once you arrive in Paroikia port, explore the white-cube old town and Venetian castle. Stay in Paroikia or Naoussa for convenient access to food and beaches. Look up ferry schedules before your trip since they vary by season.

- Day 3
Paros
Visit the mountain village of Lefkes in the morning and walk through its olive groves. Get to Kolymbithres Beach before 11 AM to find a good spot near the unique rock formations. One visitor advises: "The water at Kolymbithres is crystal clear but bring water shoes - the rocks can be slippery." Watch the sunset from Naoussa harbor to end your day.

- Day 4
Paros to Ios (2.5 hours by ferry)
- Day 5
Ios Beach Hopping
Take a tour of seven beaches around the island. Manganari Beach stands out with its calm swimming waters. Pack plenty of water and sun protection since shade is limited. A past visitor notes: "The beach tour was amazing but bring cash for beach bars as many don't accept cards." Have dinner at one of Mylopotas Beach's casual tavernas.

- Day 6
Ios to Santorini (1.5 hours by ferry)
- Day 7
Santorini
7 Days in Crete, incl. Heraklion and Chania
A cultural immersion through 5 major Greek destinations costs approx. $130 per day. The rich itinerary includes Heraklion's archaeological treasures, boat trips to Spinalonga island, and Zeus's mythical birthplace. Features guided tours of Knossos Palace, Venetian towns Chania and Rethymnon, plus traditional Cretan meals in Elounda village.

7 Day Greece Itinerary, incl. Athens and Santorini
A comprehensive 7-day tour through Athens, Mykonos, Delos, and Santorini awaits. The 4-hour Delos archaeological tour, Prophet Elias Monastery visit, and Akrotiri ruins are key highlights. Includes 6 nights in 4-star hotels with daily breakfast and semi-private transfers.

- Day 1
Athens Arrival & Orientation
After landing at Athens International Airport take a private transfer to your hotel. "Athens is best explored on your own first – take time to wander the historic neighborhoods before joining organized tours." Spend your free afternoon exploring Plaka the charming old town beneath the Acropolis. Most central Athens hotels are within walking distance of major sites. A word of caution: avoid booking near Omonia Square which can feel unsafe at night.

- Day 2
Athens to Mykonos Transfer
Leave early at 6 AM for Piraeus port to catch the ferry to Mykonos. You can pack breakfast or find something to eat at the port. The basic ferry takes about 4 hours. A recent visitor shares: "Consider upgrading to the fast ferry if you can – it cuts travel time almost in half and the assigned seats make a huge difference in comfort." When you arrive your transfer will take you to your Mykonos hotel. The afternoon is perfect for exploring Mykonos Town's iconic windmills and Little Venice waterfront.

- Day 3
Delos Archaeological Tour
Take the morning boat to Delos which is a quick 30-minute ride to the birthplace of Apollo and Artemis. One traveler notes: "Bring water snacks and sun protection – there's only one vending machine on the island and minimal shade. The archaeological site gets intensely hot by midday." You'll have a 1.5-hour guided tour plus free time to visit the museum. When you return to Mykonos visit the boutiques along Matoyianni Street in the late afternoon when crowds are smaller.

- Day 4
Mykonos to Santorini
Enjoy a relaxed morning before your ferry to Santorini. Recent reviews suggest: "Book a table at Scorpios beach club if you want one last Mykonos lunch – it books up days ahead." The ferry ride is 2-3 hours. Your driver will meet you at the port and take you to your hotel. The evening is perfect for walking Fira's caldera-edge paths.

- Day 5
Santorini Highlights Tour
Take a 6-hour semi-private island tour starting at the Monastery of Prophet Elias with its panoramic views. You'll visit the Akrotiri archaeological site and stop at a traditional wine cellar for tastings. A guest tip: "Don't miss the assyrtiko wines – they're unique to Santorini's volcanic soil." The tour includes a traditional meze lunch with local specialties like fava and white eggplant.

- Day 6
Santorini to Athens
Start your free morning in Oia village. Get there before 9 AM to avoid cruise ship crowds. A recent visitor suggests: "Walk down to Amoudi Bay for the freshest fish lunch." Take the late afternoon ferry back to Athens. The trip takes about 5 hours arriving around midnight. A driver will meet you at Piraeus port for your hotel transfer.

Travel Zone Company was phenomenal throughout our trip. We had some minor issues due to 2 days of seamen and airline strikes. The company notified us of an upcoming 24-hour seamen strike and had to push up our scheduled ferry ride by one day. The KLM airline (sister company to Delta) strike occurred the day before we had to fly back home. As a result of the strike, most Delta flights going to the US were rescheduled to accommodate the people that had cancelled flights from the day before. We had to stay an extra night. The company was gracious enough to find us a hotel as we had to fly out the next day. The only issues we had with the itinerary was the planned guided tours in Delos and Santorini. The tour guide for Delos was very rude and rushed us. The Santorini tour stated that we would have time to go swimming on the beach and we did not. We overdressed and over-packed thinking we were going to be swimming. These issues did not lower our rating of the tour company. The staff at Travel Zone was great when they greeted us at each new destination. Everything was well planned and executed. We opted for the 4 star hotels. The best hotel was Pelican Bay Hotel in Mykonos. The room was gorgeous and they had great service. The Strogili Hotel was ok but too far from Oia, The garden view was not pleasing as the island was very arid. The President Hotel was in a good section of Athens but the standard rooms was small. I gave Travel Zone a 5 star because they were very attentive and did the best to accommodate us throughout the trip.
