We enjoyed the tour,Wombat our tour guide was a great leader..helping us to choose the tracks he thought we could cope with.We are both close to 70 and survived the trip of over 88ks walking over 8 days, some walks were tough but not impossible, naturally we didn't do the tracks the young people done, but they had fun,we loved hearing their adventures.

Best time to visit Tasmania
- Spring 2026
Tasmania comes alive with our highly-rated spring tours that blend diverse experiences into well-crafted journeys. The 6-day explorer routes adapt smoothly to spring conditions, with experienced guides Justin and Luke adjusting the daily flow based on seasonal patterns. You'll walk beneath towering trees at Mount Field, venture through the ancient Tarkine rainforest, and spot native wildlife emerging in the warmer weather. Solo travelers often tell us they love these tours because of how naturally the guides balance group activities with quiet moments. For those seeking more time in nature, our 7-day active circuits mix mountain biking on Maydena's purpose-built trails, walks through eucalyptus forests and also close-up encounters at Bonorong sanctuary. The 4-day wild tours attract younger travelers looking for genuine outdoor adventures - you'll tackle the climb to Marion's Lookout at Cradle Mountain and sleep where wombats and quolls make their rounds. These spring tours stand out because our guides have mastered the timing, from early wildlife viewing to perfectly timed walks for the best Wineglass Bay vistas.

- Summer 2026
Summer in Tasmania gives us long days perfect for exploring. Our customers really enjoy those early morning rainforest walks before it gets warm, then heading to east coast beaches to cool off later. The 3-4 day tours pack quite a bit in - you'll walk up to Wineglass Bay's viewpoint, visit Tasmanian devils at wildlife parks and join evening BBQs with native animals around. If you've got more time, our 6-7 day trips let you properly experience the difference between Cradle Mountain's high country and also the white beaches at Bay of Fires. The guides know all the good spots for trying local foods too - from fresh berries to local ice cream made right there on the farms.
- Fall / Autumn 2026
Tasmania's autumn tours blend seamlessly into satisfying combinations that our travelers love to experience. Multi-day explorations through the Tarkine rainforest and Freycinet National Park showcase seasonal transitions, with guides adapting paths to match daily conditions. Our guests particularly connect with 6-day wilderness circuits that combine walks among towering eucalyptus at Mount Field, local cheese tastings in St Marys, and encounters with native wildlife at Cradle Mountain. The week-long journeys earn high marks from customers, balancing active treks with cultural immersion - you'll hike to Wineglass Bay, visit Tasmanian devils at sanctuaries and explore Gordon River when hiking temperatures are just right. Groups stay small at 16 people, letting guides adjust the pace according to weather and group energy, while the mix of hostels and lodges offers both social spaces and quiet retreats. Our travelers often mention how guides excel at timing wildlife encounters, especially around Russell Falls and Cradle Mountain, where wombats and wallabies emerge during autumn's gentle days.

- Winter 2026 / 2027
Our winter tours work well with Tasmania's cooler weather patterns - the guides know exactly when to adjust routes for the best experience. Multi-day trips from Hobart keep you moving through different landscapes, from morning walks under the tall eucalyptus at Mount Field to reaching the rugged west coast by afternoon. Our travelers like having choices, such as taking on the more challenging Marion's Lookout climb or doing an easier walk around Dove Lake at Cradle Mountain. The winter months are actually great for wildlife spotting - you'll often see wombats and wallabies out looking for food during the mild daytime hours.
