  I was most excited to check out San Vino as it was something i hadn't heard about to much from all the way in Aus, but thats the beauty of Stoke, not only filling you with copious amounts of alcohol and throwing they're epic off site parties. But they make sure they get you to these amazing cultural traditions that would be way to much effort me to organise myself. Doing it all with new friends from all over the globe, they're epic memories and photos ill enjoy forever. From the minute we arrived we could relax, my new best mate Harry, a tent runner got me straight to my humble abode, set up before the debauchery, then straight to the bar to grab a drink, my traditional stoke outfit ready to be drenched, and show me around site. Your greeted here by nothing but smiles, make friends with the staff, they've done it all before and know how to show you the best time, they're bloody sexy to. And be nice to the kitchen, they keep us alive with amazing food and work harder than anyone. The parties went off with bands from Aus, New Zealand, London and some swirly guy from outer space.. Then the stoke crew guided us up the hill and we were off to some street party, two back to back massive stages of cranking music, everyone on shoulders, wine going everywhere, after a massive night it was time to stumble home. Getting ready to do it all again i stumbled across a netball game, being the competitive half pissed aussie i couldn't help myself and registered at the desk and joined in. My guide was playing, extremely tall handsome man Wade Gravy, but id never seen someone so uncoordinated in my whole life, looked like a kid learning how to dance. Time for the wine fight, we were lead straight to the buses by the stoke staff and off we went marching up the hill (definitely wear shoes) fucking painful up that hill, and wear goggles, even better take a box of wine, i was the most unprepared fighter on the hill, and they knew it, splashed by old women, infants and anyone, it was a cold burning sea of red. After a while on the hill it was back down off to the fires then back to the stoke offsite party. Thanks so much to the staff crew for finding these amazing events, and throwing epic parties, and somehow hearding all of us buckled sheep from site to party to wine fight and all in one piece, don't know how they do it but they're good at it. See you next year yyewwww

  MUST MUST MUST!!! Everyone needs to understand that this is a festival that should be high on the bucket list! While it is freezing cold, to the point where you don't know if the purple in your fingers are wine stains or due to the fact of losing feeling, you don't care because like really... You're getting drenched in freaking wine in the middle of Haro, Spain! The walk there and up the mountain is a bit far, but its absolutely gorgeous walking through the vinyards!! The sun is just rising so no complaints on the location. When we got there its crazy how authentic and genuine this festival is. Its like 80% locals, many bring their children, which is just beyond me! I wish we had something like this back in the states! The campsite was beautifully decorated and super fun! I would have like to been more prepared, next time ill bring lab goggles because if theres anything that brought me down, was getting wine in my eyes, which is bound to happen due to you basically taking a shower in it. Everyone is throwing buckets and buckets of wine, most people have water guns or like tanks on the back attached to a spray gun!! it was insane! It took me a few days to get the wine completely out of every crevice of my body lol but well worth the purple stained fingers. The 24 hour trip was perfect!! The bus ride didn't seem long at all, most people sleep mostly on the way there and we get there just in time for the battle! And when it was all over, we basked in the sun for a bit and then the bus ride home was a breeze since I was absolutely exhausted and slept most the ride back to Barcelona. OVERALL MUST!! Loved it! Will remember a jumper, sweatpants, and goggles for next time!
