Pacific Northwest Tours & Trips
Check out Cathedral Grove's ancient forests, where tall trees have stood for centuries. Try yoga on Tofino's beautiful beach at sunset while the waves whisper on the shore, or ride your bike and hop from beach to beach along the Legacy Trail. At a secret cove, soak in natural hot springs where steam rises into cool air. Will you ever want to leave?

G Adventures runs solid tours that give you good bang for your buck - most travelers we've worked with really like how well they organize everything. The food can be hit or miss though, based on what we hear from different groups. If you're into paddling, Timberwolf's kayaking trips are fantastic and their camping setups are top notch. Just keep in mind these aren't lazy river floats - you'll need to be ready for some real physical work out there on the water and trails. Fresh Adventures has built quite a following thanks to their guide Alex Ross. Their ski trips are pretty hardcore with deep powder runs and backcountry routes, plus they mix in some really nice touches like soaking in hot springs and properly good meals. That said, if you're new to skiing, you might want to look elsewhere - one of our clients found the runs pretty intimidating as a beginner.

- Winter 2025 / 2026
The Pacific Northwest's winter season opens up some really interesting snowy experiences. Our 11-day ski tours through British Columbia take you to places like Revelstoke and Kicking Horse, where the powder is deep and plentiful. What makes these trips special is how they mix challenging mountain runs with relaxing evenings soaking in natural hot springs. The expert guides keep groups small, leading you through steep terrain and finding those hidden mountain springs that most tourists miss. Over in Vancouver, we've got winter tours that blend city exploring with coastal wildlife spotting - you'll stay warm in covered boats while watching gray whales and sea lions. Tofino's become quite popular for storm watching from the comfort of beachside lodges.

- Spring 2026
Spring really comes alive with peak whale watching season. Our Vancouver Island routes combine marine wildlife viewing and hikes through rainforests just as they start blooming. The San Juan Islands cycling tours work perfectly this time of year - our riders tell us they love having quiet roads to themselves and spotting migrating orcas right from their bikes. Idaho's Coeur d'Alene trails open up nicely too, letting cyclists enjoy scenic rail-trails before the summer crowds arrive. As temperatures warm up, our Desolation Sound Indigenous experiences restart, giving visitors direct access to First Nations customs and lands.

- Summer 2026
Summer brings out our most active Pacific Northwest tours in full force. The Vancouver Island Premium tours get booked quickly since they offer that perfect mix of Butchart Gardens, Tofino beach time and wildlife viewing. Our travelers particularly enjoy guided Wild Pacific Trail hikes followed by free time around Victoria's Inner Harbor. For serious hikers, our tours through East Sooke Regional Park and along the Juan de Fuca Trail offer longer daily treks. The Klahoose experiences hit their stride in summer, combining kayaking, traditional ceremonies and excellent marine life viewing right from the resort.

- Fall / Autumn 2026
Fall creates ideal conditions for watching grizzly bears feast during salmon runs, especially around Campbell River and Orford River. Our travelers consistently tell us these bear-viewing experiences are trip highlights, particularly when paired with visits to Cathedral Grove's ancient forest. Vancouver Island explorer tours take advantage of smaller autumn crowds while still offering excellent wildlife viewing - you'll often spot whales, seals and also eagles during private boat trips. Fall low tides at Juan de Fuca Marine Reserve reveal rich intertidal life, while Goldstream Provincial Park fills with spawning salmon that attract bears and bird enthusiasts alike.
