In our case it was a small tour. Basically a sprinter van. It was comfortable, though there were just three of us plus a guide. There were regular planned rest stops and a friendly guide. The lunches were sandwiches and chips. Perfectly fine. The breakfast and dinners were at places with just amazing buffets (or you could order something). We stayed in hotels which were perfectly fine, as advertised. If you want more time at the various parks, go for a longer period to give a day at each one. Otherwise you have a few hours to do the tours or walk trails and back on the road to the next park. You get what you pay for and I feel we got a good deal.

What's Different About South Rim and West Rim Tours?
You'll find the South Rim really showcases the natural side of the canyon. It's run by the National Park Service and has these amazing hiking trails plus iconic spots like Mather Point and the Yavapai Geology Museum.
