What people love about Ireland Tours for Couples
- 8-Day Emerald Explorer Small Group Tour
Great tour group and tour leader. Good mix of sites/activities and free time.
- 6-Day Magical Southern Explorer Small Group Tour
We felt we missed out on an experienced guide. Our driver was very friendly but not what we expected after paying for a guided tour. The accommodations were very good especially in Dingle. We had hoped the transportation would have WiFi but it did not. We had an enjoyable time and loved Ireland but the tour did not meet our expectations.
- Best of the West
Our tour guide Robert was great! I wish we had more time in the day to do it all, but the time we had was well spent!
What our customers ask about Romantic Ireland Trips & Honeymoon Packages
Which Irish cities offer the best nightlife for couples?
Dublin's Temple Bar district is where you'll find lots of traditional music and cozy pubs. Galway is really special - with more than 120 festivals each year and local musicians playing in pubs almost every night. In Killarney, many travelers tell us they love hanging out in the pubs - as one person said, it's "the perfect place for a Guinness or two." Cork's city center has some great wine bars and restaurants, and Waterford's old Viking Quarter is nice for an evening walk followed by drinks at a pub.
What are the most romantic places to visit in Ireland for couples?
You'll love the Cliffs of Moher - they're 700 feet high and the ocean views are incredible. Ashford Castle is special if you want to splurge on a fancy stay. The Ring of Kerry has some of the prettiest coastal views in Ireland. In Killarney National Park, take a horse and carriage ride - it's really old-school romantic. At Blarney Castle, you can kiss the Blarney Stone together. The little fishing town of Kinsale is super charming with its bright colored houses and nice seafood places like The Black Pig Wine Bar.
What are the most scenic drives for couples in Ireland?
The Ring of Kerry is probably the most famous drive - it's 111 miles long with great stops like Ladies View and Torc Waterfall. The Wild Atlantic Way takes you past big cliffs and small fishing villages. The Dingle Peninsula is another beautiful option with ocean views and nice pubs along the way. One traveler wrote on TourRadar, "The Ring of Kerry has inspired writers and poets for centuries with its forty shades of green, coastal drives lined with beaches, and views of the Atlantic Ocean."
Which hotels are most recommended for couples in Ireland?
There are some really nice options for a romantic stay. Ashford Castle in Cong is super fancy - it's a real castle with beautiful rooms and grounds. In Dublin, try the Clayton Burlington Road if you want to be close to everything. The Killarney Plaza Hotel and Spa is great for couples - they have spa treatments and nice restaurants. One TourRadar traveler mentioned, "The hotels were mostly nice... Killarney, Waterford and Dublin hotels were lovely and perfect for a romantic getaway."
What's the best time of year for couples to visit Ireland?
The nicest weather is from May to September when it's around 60-70°F (15-21°C) and the days are longer. July and August get pretty crowded. Spring and fall are nice too - fewer tourists and still pretty, but bring a rain jacket. Winter can be fun if you like cozy pubs and castle stays, but it gets cold - about 40-50°F (4-10°C). September seems to be when most couples visit, probably because the weather's still good but it's less crowded.
What are the most romantic accommodations available on Ireland tours for couples?
You can stay in some really special places on Ireland tours. Clontarf Castle Hotel in Dublin is full of history, Dromoland Castle near Shannon is super luxurious, and Cahernane House Hotel in Killarney has amazing views of the national park. One TourRadar traveler said, "The hotels were amazing - we stayed in actual castles which made for such romantic evenings. The Lyrath Estate Hotel in Kilkenny was particularly spectacular with its beautiful grounds perfect for evening strolls."
What's the best tour length for couples visiting Ireland?
Most couples go for 6-10 days, but 7-8 days works really well. This gives you enough time to see Dublin for 2-3 days, explore the west coast including Galway and the Cliffs of Moher for another 2-3 days, and spend 2-3 days in the south seeing places like Killarney and driving the Ring of Kerry. Seven days seems to be just right for most couples - long enough to see a lot but not so long that you're exhausted.
