What people love about touring Rajasthan solo
- Classic Rajasthan
I enjoyed every moment of the tour. I'm 81 , was looked after so well. The locals were very thoughtfull , helping me with my suitcase where no lifts were available. Everything ran so smoothly. Can't wait to come back to do a tour of south India. At the Delhi airport, a young gentleman connected me to his Hotspot wifi to send texts back home. Also insisted I sit down and relax.
- Escorted India Tour
Everything was arranged properly. No confusion during transfers. Hotels were clean and safe. Rajasthan forts and palaces were impressive. Desert safari was enjoyable. Guides explained well and answered questions. A good tour for people wanting structured travel.
- Royal Rajasthan Tour with Boutique Hotels (Delhi, Mandawa, Bikaner, Jaisalmer, Jodhpur, Udaipur, Pushkar, Jaipur, Agra, Delhi)
Our trip was wonderful. The company that provided the services was professional and thorough in the planning and execution of every step. The driver provided to us was exceptional in his diligence and care. Vimal provided us with a complete feeling of safety and comfort. Having him with us gave us a security blanket that cannot be underestimated in unfamiliar and sometimes unnerving environments. The guides were highly educated and engaging, even if sometimes the inevitable ‘ would you like to visit a store to see some unique art or textile or jewellery’ at the end of each tour became predictable and clearly involved kickbacks for them. Having said that, you can refuse but in reality there are truly beautiful products. I’m sure the prices were tourist but then convenience and a masala chai while you shop could be a bonus. There is an unspoken expectation of tips for the guides, but you’d be Scrooge if you didn’t offer a good amount considering the minuscule pay they earn in their work. The accommodation was unfailingly top notch and often jaw dropping. The tour involved very long hours in a car so make sure you travel with someone you like a lot. There were many extra experiences that you could add but be wary of overcrowding your day. Even consider removing some provided tours if you think you would like to have any time to decompress or relax in your gorgeous hotel or palace. Overall, the journey was ‘wonder’ full and absolutely well priced regarding the high quality of the services and experiences. TourRadar were great with their communication and consistency. It would have been helpful if they had provided some practical guidelines to the India visa requirements and process timelines etc. The regulations are a bit tricky to navigate if you are not a seasoned traveler and know how to discover the necessary documentation and the deadlines necessary. Prepare early to avoid stress. Don’t overpack as the hotels have everything you need and provide laundry services. Days are spent in a car and walking around so maximise your wardrobe for loose and comfortable apparel. Last piece of advice, always remember to look up!
