What people love about touring Himachal Pradesh solo
- Shimla - Summer Capital of British India
The drivers and guides were brilliant - couldn’t ask for more from them in terms of attention, knowledge and good humour. The hotel was very comfortable but cold and gloomy in the corridors. And the long awaited train ride was long and uncomfortable and slightly underwhelming tbh. Ask for an upgrade to First Class if possible. Enjoyed exploring Shimla and learned a lot, so bar a few caveats, would recommend this tour.
- Himachal Sojourn Tour
The 14-day tour covering Delhi, Shimla, Manali, Dharamshala, Dalhousie, and more was a beautiful journey into northern India. The history of the places, especially in Delhi, was fascinating. Shimla had great colonial architecture, and the scenic roads to Manali were breathtaking. Our hotel stays were comfortable, and the guides were good. The driver was cautious and reliable. A wonderful experience overall!
- Himachal Holidays
I had an amazing time on this tour, from the start in New Delhi to the final departure. Shimla was beautiful, offering both a peaceful environment and a chance to see the colonial architecture. The hotel in Shimla was good. The guide was knowledgeable, especially about the history of the places we visited. Rohtang Pass is closed due the snow without information! Overall, the trip perfect.

What is the typical group size on Himachal Pradesh guided tours for solo travelers?
Guided tours in Himachal Pradesh usually have 8-12 travelers which creates a friendly environment for solo adventurers. Shimla Walks is one operator that focuses on small groups and books stays at select properties like Hotel Woodrina in Shimla and Snow Valley Resort in Manali.
