Budget Tours & Trips to Jordan Reviews
- Explore The Lost City of Petra & Wadi Rum
I created a custom 3 day solo traveler tour for Jordan and was able to see everything I wanted to visit. Adnan was a king as a driver and chaperone who didn't just drive me from place to place but also helped secure excellent guides for the tourist site, gave useful instructions on visiting the areas (such as what to avoid), was punctual in his timing, and looked after me to ensure I had no issues during the trip. It was an immeasurable relief that he spoke my language with functional effectiveness. Khalid was also an excellent customer representative in ensuring I was able to do the activities I wanted to do and that I had no issues during the tour. Even though I decided to cancel an activity a few hours short of the scheduled time, Khalid was generous to offer a refund at my request. For those wishing to use this operator, you should know that the package price comes with transportation and lounging. If I had any issues with the experience, it would only be that the price for the trip did not come with entrance fees for the sites I visited, but that is all. It did not in the slightest affect how I felt visiting the places I wanted to see nor diminish the experience. Transportation was in a Hyundai Hybrid Sedan and lounging was in 4+ star hotels. This was my first time in Jordan and my finest. I can say with certainty that tourists will not be disappointed with this operator!
- A Week in Jordan
Jordan is amazing, Petra in particular is wonderful and we chose this tour as it included 2 days in Petra and we were not disappointed! The group we travelled with was lovely so we also had some great company on our trip.
- A Week in Jordan
Great tour, but a lot of driving to see the amazing sites in Jordan. Hotel staff were nice but one hotel did not have working hot water. Another hotel had a broken elevator. Petra is so amazing it would be worth having a second day to explore more thoroughly.
What our customers ask about Budget Tours & Trips to Jordan
Are entrance fees included in budget tour prices?
Entry fees are typically separate from budget tour prices. You'll need to pay for major sites like Petra ($70) Jerash ($10) and the Dead Sea ($10). The Jordan Pass which includes visa fees and entry to most attractions is a smart money-saving option. A TourRadar traveler confirms: "The Jordan Pass saved us a lot of money since it covered entry to Petra and most other sites."
What type of accommodation can I expect on budget tours in Jordan?
Budget tours mix 3-star hotels with authentic Bedouin camps. In Amman you'll find places like the Monarch Hotel while Petra offers options such as Canyon Petra Hotel. The Wadi Rum desert camps range from basic tents to mid-range stays like Wadi Rum Oasis Camp with shared facilities. A TourRadar traveler notes: "The camp was very simple but had almost everything you could need. The Bedouin tent was cosy and had many blankets so we were nice and warm on a cold night."
When is the most affordable time to visit Jordan?
Travel costs drop during March-April and October-November. The weather stays comfortable for exploring while avoiding high-season prices. Hotels in main areas like Amman and Petra often cut rates by 20-30% during these months. According to a traveler: "We visited in March and found perfect weather for hiking in Petra and exploring Wadi Rum plus better hotel rates than summer months."
How much should I budget for optional activities in Jordan?
Budget $100-150 for extra activities during your stay. Popular choices include the evening tour Petra by Night ($25) camel rides in Wadi Rum ($17) cooking classes near Petra ($47) and Dead Sea spa treatments ($30-50). One traveler shares: "The optional activities were worth the extra cost especially the Petra by Night experience which was magical."
What is the average daily budget needed for meals not included in Jordan tours?
Plan for $25-30 per day for meals outside your tour package. Tours usually cover breakfast and some dinners particularly at desert camps and hotels. Local spots in Amman like Al-Qantara serve lunch for $10-15. A TourRadar guest notes: "The dinner in Wadi Rum was top notch and local restaurants in Petra offered good value for the included meals."
