About me:Hey guys! I'm Tina, 23 years old, born and raised in Paris. I've decided to leave France and experience the Asian lifestyle for a year (take a gap year they say...). It's now been almost 3 years, and I'm not planning on going back home anytime soon. I've started working as a tour leader for TruTravels a year and a half ago to be able to combine both of my passions on a daily basis : traveling, and meeting new people! So far, I've only met beautiful human-beings on my wonderful journey, and I can't wait to meet you and show you the beauty of Indonesia! See you soon and safe travels! Everything was amazing but I prefered the cooking class, the surfing lesson and Padar view point trek. To be honest I wouldn't do Mount Batur again if I knew about the view at Padar Island. It was much easier and the view was better. I did a lot of tours and I have to say that Tina is the best guide I ever had. Thank you so much Tina :)

What more could I say about the leader who helped me during some of the worse sea sickness and helped me stay positive. She is brilliant and a wonderful group leader. Tina made the trip !!!

In hindsight I did really enjoy being on the boat but my favourite activity/moment was being on top of the view point at Padar island. Tina is amazing. She is fantastic and is a true asset to the Tru family. I thought the tour was great. It was my first organised tour experience and it's definitely sold me on them!

It was awesome. So many amazing things to see and do. Beautiful landscapes and culture and a wonderful family! Seeing the Komodo dragons was fantastic. Getting to do so much snorkelling etc as well. It was really nice to see so much beautiful places of Indonesia which not every other tourist will see. Can't pick a favorite memory. The most memorable moment for me was when we went surfing and I caught some waves. It's something that I've always wanted to try and thought I couldn't do.

I loved all the activities of the trip ; especially the cooking class and the rice terraces ! I learned so much and found them so interesting! Going out in the evenings were also so much fun, especially in Canggu!

I LOVED meeting Wayan and learning about the Balinese culture/temples. Surfing too! EVERYTHING! The cooking class was also great! Mount Batur was hell, but what a view!!

The group was quite large (17 people) which I was a bit hesitant to at the beginning because I thought it would be a really impersonal tour. However, Freddie and Tina were amazingly friendly and caring towards all of us, and really looked out for me as well as making sure everyone was included and involved in everything. I'm really glad I had these as my tour leaders because myself and others created really good friendships with them - it was really nice to have people that put more effort into the group than just taking us on the activities, it made the experience 10 times better!! Everything about this tour was so good from such as the standard of accommodation. We were staying in beautiful locations and it was really nice to have breakfast included in everywhere we stayed, it made such a difference to the price and made the value for money a lot better in comparison to some of the other tours. Although this tour was supposed to head to the Gili islands which I was really excited for, unfortunately the earthquakes stopped this from happening so the itinerary was changed which I was a bit put off by when I first found out. But I'm really happy I decided to still go and do the tour as the changed itinerary was really good, Lovina was a beautiful place to visit and we got to still do so much on the days! I've made some amazing friends and unforgettable memories - Bali was definitely the highlight of my time in South East Asia and I'm really glad I did this with TruTravels!

Really great to fit in everything I wanted to do in Bali in a short amount of time. There was a little too much faffing around but great social opportunities and for those traveling alone. The tour guides will help you with anything you need and ease any worries you may have about traveling. The tour itself isn't physically demanding, so suitable for all levels of fitness. There is opportunity to climb a volcano too if you wanted to but it's completely optional. All in all, a great trip and would definitely book with TruTravels again!

Amazing. Loved snorkeling in Lovina and the liveabord boat. Spent time with a lot of guys who are not from my country. So cool to learn about the culture of Bali or the UK!

I had a great time on the Komodo Island Hopper trip. I was originally debating whether or not to do it because I sometimes get seasick. I was originally debating whether or not to do it because I sometimes get seasick. However this was not an issue at all and there was not a day on the tour where I did not enjoy the itinerary. The accommodation was and restaurants were great too ; restaurants always had vegan options. Tina was a great guide, lots of fun and knowledgable, and always went the extra mile to make sure the group had the best time! The live aboard boat was a great experience. Everything from the viewpoints to the manta rays and pink beach. I also loved seeing the beaches in Lombok, the waterfall on Moyo Island and snorkelling with starfish on Satonda island. I have previously been on a trip with a different company to another part of Indonesia (Java) and none of the activities were included, meaning we had to pay extra. I like that TruTravels includes all the activities at no extra cost. I think I definitely got my moneys worth!

I originally booked the 10 day Bali Experience and ended up extending to the full 18 day! Really good value for money, great choices of accommodations, good variety of fun activities. Loved the monkey forest (I love monkeys). I also loved the cooking class, it was amazing to be deep inside the Balinese lifestyle and cuisine ; amazing ingredients and recipes! And I also really enjoyed the day trip to Moyo Island with the motorbike ride, the waterfall and the fish lunch on the beach! :) Great leaders who always gave good advice and made sure I could do my extension in a quick process.

I loved the motorcycle ride to the waterfalls. The whole day trip to Moyo Island was so cool. And of course Padar view point ! I thought it is very nice that you offered us water on the sailing boat but some people were just not appreciating it and were wasting it. Maybe a water dispenser would be more eco-friendly? :)

The boat ride, the motorbike ride, the beautiful waterfall and the rope swing as well as lunch at the beach were a perfect combination. But seriously it's so hard to tell because all the activities were so great. Loved snorkeling in Pink Beach, surfing, being on the boat, amazing viewpoints. So beautiful ! Nevertheless, I thought that from Gili T onwards we had a little too much free time. I would have liked to have a little more action instead of just chilling by the pool/beach/on the boat or going shopping. Ninhvana was great as well, as it gave us an opportunity to socialise with other travellers and enjoy all the all inclusive food, drinks & activities, which made for a really fun night. The trip as a whole provided a good mix of education, relaxing down time and fun opportunities to get active and drink the night away, which made for a really enjoyable trip!!!

There was a hell of a lot of drinking, being a non drinker, sometimes it was a little much. Although this wasn’t too much of a problem as I wasn’t the only one not drinking. However, I thoroughly enjoyed myself and will book onto another tru travels tour in the future.

I had three tour guides on my tour Tina, Ali and Oneway, who were all very approachable and made everybody feel at ease right from the start.
The transportation from place to place was very well organised and was of a comfortable standard. The overnight train however was an experience, let’s leave it at that!
The accommodation varied with some places being comfortable and clean, but others not so much and if honest a bit grubby!
Not a lot of meals are included within the tour however, everywhere that the guides recommended to eat served up good food.
We had a great bunch of people on our tour with quite a few who liked to party into the early hours and drink by the bucket load. I did feel this sometimes impacted the tour as a lot of activities that were planned into the itinerary didn’t take place until late afternoon, so if you like to be up early you may find yourself sitting around waiting for the rest of the group or trying to plan things to do yourself!
Overall, I had a fantastic time and made friends and memories with a great bunch of people that I will never forget!

We got to explore Thailand by a multiple range of transport- from tuk tuks to taxis to boats, which gave us a real feel for the country! I feel like we could have got a little bit more for our money but it was well worth it. You get to meet so many new people and most likely friends for life. Will definitely travel with trutravels again.

Oneway was super knowledgeable about all the places we visited and would always help carry bags and help us on and off boats even when it wasn’t sketchy! He was always making sure everyone was ok which was lovely. Ali was born to work with people and was so enthusiastic, I think he became everyone’s best friend within about 5 minutes! My only problem with the tour was it was maybe a little too relaxed, nothing really ran on time (but that’s Thailand) and there were lots of nights out for some of the group which meant activities the next day rarely started before late afternoon. Most of the accommodation was great with ensuites and aircon and in central locations, however despite it being advertised as twin rooms I was in rooms of 3 or 4 people for 7 nights of the tour, plus 2 nights on overnight transport, so was only in a twin room for half the time. Having said this, Tina did very well matching up room buddies. Overall we did quite a lot in the 18 days and I have made some friends for life!

It was very relaxed (almost too relaxed) with no early mornings and plenty of beach time in beautiful places. There were lots of nights out which wasn’t suitable for everyone on the tour, and this also meant daytime activities didn’t generally take place until the afternoon. Tina was clearly very on top of the organisation of the tour and has great rapport with the people at the activities and restaurants we went to. Ali was born to work with people and was fantastic at making sure everyone was happy all the time, as well as being very knowledgeable about the places we visited. Oneway also knew so much about everywhere we went and was so caring.

Accommodation could have been better in certain places considering all the money we paid for the tour. It also wasn’t advertised as a party every night kind of tour which it was. As a non drinker it wasn’t for me, although it wasn’t too much of a problem because I was always able to go back when I wanted. However it should be advertised. We didn’t get told an itinerary at the start of the trip so we never really knew what we were doing, became annoying at times. Think an itinerary would help. A few negative points but in all, I really enjoyed this tour. Will book onto another when I can.

The tour itself was brilliant, although slightly more party based than expected. Every place we went was vibrant and beautiful, made even better by the various activities planned for us along the way.
While accommodation was not your usual 4 or 5 star hotel resorts, I think this added to the overall backpacking experience, and let's be honest no one wants to spend time cooped up in the room when you are in such stunning settings.
Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed the 18 day tour which was filled with amazing places, good food, awesome activities and brilliant people. Would happily come back and do it all over again!

She took us to some hidden gems within her own free time which made her feel more like a friend rather than our guide, yet she was full of suggestions and tips to help us all on our way. We experienced a few set backs in the tour but this did not phase Tina, she just got on with things and arranged alternative activities to ensure we were not impacted, Tina was attentive throughout and our experience and satisfaction was her main priority which was testimony to how much she cared about her whole group having the best experience she could provide. I believe Tina could make anyone have a great time with her warm and bubbly outlook on things! She’s 1 in a million.

Tina is a great tour guide and a warm caring individual and to top it off, great company. She spent alot of time getting to know those that were on her tour and catered to our needs without hesitation. There was a few hiccups along the way that led us astray from our tour itinerary. which might i add were out of Tina's hands but she efficiently put things right without it causing too much of a hinderence. Overall the tour was good, I expected a little more for my money and a few more people to get to know as there was only 3 of us, but I have took some good memorys away from this experience. She also took lots of photos of us doing the activities, which was great because we wouldn't have been able to take them out selves. Howevere we were a little disappointed with the Tru Travels tour. There were only 6 people on our tour including me and boyfriend. 3 of them were on a different tour that finished 4 days earlier than ours, which only left 3 people, this was disappointing as we opted for the tour so we could meet more people. A few things didn't not go to plan, all things out of Tina's control and she did try her best to make the alternatives work for us. We felt overall that tour was not very good value for money, although we loved meeting Tina and she deffinitly improved our time with Tru Travels.

All your activities are planned out for you as well as your accommodations and travel throughout the tour. Some hotels were super basic but a couple were really nice! Always clean which was the main thing. Tina knows thailand really well so always had the best restaurant and Bar and shopping recommendations. She also was a huge help when I and others got sick along the way. My only complaint about the tour was the amount of smoking. All the tour leaders smoked which is fine but when it’s done on a longtail boat or a train ride, the non smokers were not able to just move away. But I had the most incredible time in Thailand and miss my group so much!!!

Don't know where to start from with Tina. She's always in such a great mood, sparkling every single day. She takes pictures of every moment, so if you missed something she’d upload everything in the tour chat. Open-hearted as well, helped me with some issues that were tearing me down in my life at the moment. Always up to party with everyone and at the same time taking care of us. And she’s a french délicatesse!

I did the 21 days Northern Thailand & Beaches. In the 2nd part of the tour we had lovely Patrick as our guide (great singer too) and Colin who was super cool and helpful.
The things I enjoyed the most where: zip lining in Chiang Mai and playing with the elephants.

Just come back off an amazing Northern Thailand trip which exceeded all expectations. Tina and benmore were absolutely amazing from the get go. Tina and benmore were absolutely amazing from the get go. I suffer with bad anxiety and felt completely safe and able to talk to both of them at any time for help and reassurance. The itinerary was great and we were kept busy but also had some freedom to do what we wanted to do too. The hostels we stayed at were all lovely, clean rooms, friendly staff and good WiFi! Since leaving the trip I have had help from both Tina and Ben with planning my forward journey and helping sort Visas. I couldn’t have asked for two better tour guides to come with us on the trip they really did make my experience.

Tina was an outstanding tour guide throughout she was like a mother to all of the group. What ever time of day that we needed advice she was there to offer it. As a group we felt safe in Tina' s hands. Also Tina could drink with the rest of us and still have full composure. I am little older than most of the group and have done my fair share of partying so holding your composure and being responsible whilst being fun and positive are some excellent qualities to have in a guide. One way was excellent to he was able to show me more of the cultural side of Thailand and obviously able to communicate with locals when needed. Well done team!

Tina and Bee were incredible, they answered any questions that were asked, everything was organised, when there was a problem with the accomodation they were on it to get us a new room. Bee was excellent at giving history about the country, they both were always there for us! The trip wouldn't have run smoothly or been as fun if Tina and Bee weren't are tour leaders. They both did a brilliant job and was very happy with the tour! I will remember this holiday forever and hope one day our paths cross again !

We were all updated with upcoming events and informed on things we needed to know. The accommodation was brilliant and we stayed in some really nice places. The trips we did were also super fun and the group I was in was amazing! I highly recommend this tour especially if you get Tina and Bee! Was a bonus bee is from thailand also, as she would help us with any issues that came up. She also gave us loads of information about Thailand. Absolutely worth the money too an unforgettable trip! Lots of activities were included, loved snorkelling around Ko Tao, and the Muay Thai class. Other activities were optional but worth the money, like rock climbing. Nice having a guide who knows the areas, the best sunset spots and most delicious restaurants.

There were some complications with the office people trying to get travel and accommodations lined up before and after the tour, but my guides Tina and Bee came through when and wherever possible to clear up any confusion and organize whatever was needed. They definitely went above and beyond to make sure this trip was as enjoyable as it could be, and they were awesome to go through it with, you guys rock! They also made sure I didn't accidentally get left behind on the way to the next location!

So I deiced to go with a tour group so that I remain safe in a new environment. It was a wonderful trip, met some great people on and off the tour. We did everything that was on the inclusions list and more. The accommodation was fine and got better nearer to the end of the tour. The price was very reasonable for the number of days. The tour gave me the opportunity to get out of my comfort zone and later gave me the confidence to travel on my own afterwards. I was with 3 tour guides, Patrick Tine and Aaron. It really helped that Patrick spoke Thai. Tina and Patrick also helped me with my moped "incident". Aaron really went the extra mile and took me back to our accommodation when I needed to on a night out. If I had to nitpick I would say that the waterfall on Koh Phanang we visited was not the best and wasn't picturesque at all. More water stream than "waterfall". It should be replaced.

Khao sok national park was absolutely breathtaking, chilling by the lake all day with great company! The full moon party in Koh Phangan was such an incredible experience, making it until sunrise! Of course none of this would have happened without our incredible tour leaders: One way, Tina and Sammy. They all made sure we had the best time and planned things around what we wanted to do! This was Tina's first tour with trutravels and you wouldn't have been able to tell, it was as if she had done it hundreds of times! She was so happy all of the time and made sure that we were having the best time, including coming on every night out with us. Tina is a great tour leader and I hope she carries on being fabulous and making people laugh on future tours
