It was wonderfu…This was my first tour, and I enjoyed every second of it. The itinerary was excellent, saw everything that I had hoped to see, and there was plenty of free time to explore on my own. It was wonderful to have the Oyster card [for bus and tube]. The hotel was very nice, newly renovated, and located right across from Hyde Park, wonderful for walks in the early morning or evening. Our tour director, Ellie, was extremely organized, and was excellent at providing background and history as we drove through the city, and at the venues. She was also very helpful in providing ideas for places to explore on our free time, and would help with any questions we had. If people needed directions for places they wanted to see on their own, she would print them out. The tour guides [specialists] at some of the venues were also excellent, as was our bus driver, Dave. I left feeling like I had really done more than I would have thought possible in 8 days! London is a lovely city, tourist-friendly, and rich in culture and history. I would love to go again!

Overall the tour was great. The only thing that was a disappointment would have been some of the hotels were in poor shape and one we weren’t sure if the plumbing was going to work and some of the bed…Overall the tour was great. The agenda was excellent and the days were packed full. The driver and tour guide were top notch.

The accomodation for my tour was great and the quality was above what I was expecting. We had an amazing tour driver also which completed the trip and made it one experience which left me eager to book my next contiki.

No matter what questions we had she had the answer. She helped with my dietary issues, she told us the histories of the countries, we exchanged fun facts. Ellie was everything I could have asked for in a tour manager. In fact I want her to tour manage my life. I had a week in London post trip and even then she left us with day trip ideas, outings and restaurants to visit. She's spectacular.

Our tour guide Ellie was fantastic! She told us lots about the different places we went too and was always approachable to talk to.
When we had bus issues or were stuck in traffic she would play some awesome music for us or gave us more info on the history of the country and the city we were going to visit next.
She made my second Contiki trip a absolute blast! Thanks Ellie!! :)

I like her in depth knowledge tolerance for our behaviour, wanderlust, honestly made every country seem interesting prior to visit, lets just say if she told me about a place she'd sell it well enough I'd be there in a heartbeat! True asset for any travel/tour company and highly recommend having her company as a tour guide or just a laugh!

She made the tour both interesting and fun. Having never travelled before it was quite daunting but Ellie made the experience comfortable for a solo traveller. I caught the travel bug and an absolute love for the countries I visited which could not have happened without her as my guide. Best of all she was on the bus each morning with a smile showing her true enjoyment in her work.

My guide was so educated in history and culture it was like she lived in each country for 10 years. The accommodation was more then I could ask for. I felt completely safe the whole time I was on tour, our guide was so organised that we knew what we were doing before we had to think about it. I lucked in massively with a tour guide like Ellie and a bus driver in Sandro, I really hope the next time I do contiki I have them again. I will never forget my trip and I have a lot to thank Ellie for that.

I was very nervous coming into a Contiki trip that I would have a tour guide that I didn't like very much, but Ellie was everything I could have asked for and more. Best tour guide, hands down.

I also suffered an allergic reaction just before the cruise in Greece and Ellie helped me seek medical assistance and even came to check up on me in the ICU. Ellie is Truly an amazing person and made the trip that much more memorable with all her knowledge of each country.

The European Whirl is 19 days and was the perfect amount for me; long enough to have a great experience and make it worth the flight over from America, but by the end of it I was just about ready to come home!
Ellie was by far the best tour guide I could've ever imagined. She made the trip super fun and memorable! My trip wouldn't have been the same if Ellie weren't a part of it. When I think back to my trip, I always think of Ellie first and how much fun she made it. She knows the history of each city very well and had lots of interesting facts to share with us. Ellie is silly and just a joy to be around! Her happiness radiates from her and is contagious to everyone around her.
