Start with the First Nations experience at Niigi Niigi (Sealy Lookout) in the morning when the forest is most active. Get to Byron Bay by mid-afternoon to visit Cape Byron Lighthouse, Australia's easternmost point. The walk up is quite steep. Take the shuttle if walking is difficult. The Beachcomber Resort puts you close to beaches and cafes. If you're visiting during whale season (June-October) book a morning whale watch when the water is calmest.

9 Day Queensland Itinerary, incl. Brisbane and Noosa
Rural Queensland reveals itself along Brisbane Valley Rail Trail and Kilkivan to Kingaroy sections. This 9-day route features 44km Fernvale to Esk ride, 42km Yarraman to Linville segment, and Murgon's wine country.

- Day 1
Brisbane
Get to Brisbane and get settled. If you're renting a bike, use this time to get fitted and adjusted. Plan to arrive by 4 PM to skip the airport rush hour traffic. The tour briefing is usually in the evening. "It's worth getting in early to check your gear and get a good night's rest before hitting the trails."

- Day 2
Brisbane Valley Rail Trail (44km)
Start with a morning transfer to Fernvale. The ride to Esk follows the old railway line through rural Queensland on mostly flat, well-maintained trails. Bring extra water since refill spots are limited between towns. Start early to beat the midday heat. You'll spend the night in Esk, a welcoming country town.

- Day 3
Yarraman to Linville (42km)
You'll transfer to Yarraman to begin your ride. This section shows off some of the best Brisbane Valley views. The route gradually descends from Yarraman but watch out for loose gravel, especially after rain. Head back to Esk for the night and grab dinner at the local pub for some satisfying country cooking.

- Day 4
Esk to Linville (52km)
- Day 5
Kingaroy to Murgon (44km)
- Day 6
Murgon to Moffatdale
- Day 7
Noosa
Choose between resting or taking an optional coastal ride. If you decide to cycle, try the Noosa coastal trail for great ocean views. Go early before the beaches get crowded. The stretch from Noosa to Peregian Beach stays mostly flat but can get windy later in the day.
- Day 8
Final Day in Noosa
Spend time enjoying Noosa's beaches and national park. Early birds can try the local favorite Noosa Woods loop. Use the afternoon to swim or explore the cafes on Hastings Street.
