- Days 1-2
Delhi
Arrive in Delhi and take the first afternoon to rest. Start early on day 2 to explore Old Delhi. Visit Jama Masjid before 10 AM when crowds are minimal. Take a cycle rickshaw through the lively lanes of Chandni Chowk. After lunch head to New Delhi to see Humayun's Tomb and Qutub Minar. Book a hotel near Connaught Place for easy access to both parts of the city.

- Days 3-4
Agra
Take an early train from Delhi to Agra. Visit the Taj Mahal at sunrise around 6 AM for smaller crowds and better photos. "The morning mist creates an ethereal atmosphere around the Taj that you won't see later in the day." Spend your afternoon exploring Agra Fort. Visit Mehtab Bagh gardens for beautiful sunset views of the Taj from across the river.

- Days 5-6
Ranthambore
- Days 7-8
Jaipur
Give yourself two full days in the Pink City. Start at Amber Fort early. Take the jeep up instead of elephant rides. Visit City Palace and Jantar Mantar before watching sunset at Nahargarh Fort. Spend day 8 exploring the markets. Look for textiles in Johari Bazaar and blue pottery in Tripolia Bazaar. "Visit Lassiwala on MI Road for the city's best lassi, but only before 2 PM when they run out."

- Days 9-10
Udaipur
Flying saves valuable time since driving takes over 7 hours. Take a boat ride on Lake Pichola during sunset. Start the next day at City Palace when it opens at 9:30 AM. Spend time wandering the old city's narrow streets and art galleries. "Don't miss dinner at Ambrai Ghat - book ahead for lakeside tables with palace views."

- Days 11-12
Jodhpur
The drive to the Blue City takes 5-6 hours. Visit Mehrangarh Fort early when the morning light is perfect for photos. Walk through the blue-painted houses with a local guide who can show you hidden temples and photo spots. "The view from Jaswant Thada over the blue city is incredible, but go before 11 AM to avoid harsh sunlight."

- Days 13-14
Pushkar and return to Delhi
Here's a 2 Week India Itinerary, incl. Delhi and Jaipur
The grand 37-day route spans 17 cities from Delhi to Goa, showcasing UNESCO sites like Taj Mahal, Kerala's backwaters, and Hampi's ruins. Highlights include overnight desert camping, spice plantation visits in Periyar, and spiritual ceremonies along Varanasi's ghats.

- Days 1-2
Delhi
Begin your India journey in Delhi where Old and New Delhi offer striking contrasts. Take a morning cycle rickshaw through Chandni Chowk's narrow lanes early at 8am before crowds and heat intensify. One traveler noted: "Watching the spice sellers set up their stalls in Old Delhi's morning light was magical, though keep your belongings close in the bustling crowds." Visit Jama Masjid mosque before noon when the marble is still cool enough for bare feet. Set aside 3-4 hours for the Red Fort but avoid mid-afternoon's long lines.

- Days 3-4
Agra
Catch an early train (2.5 hours) from Delhi to Agra. See the Taj Mahal at sunrise with online tickets to skip queues. A recent visitor shared: "Enter through the East Gate at opening time – it has shorter lines than the West Gate and better morning light for photos." Visit Agra Fort in the afternoon then head to Fatehpur Sikri the next day. The drive there takes about 45 minutes on dusty roads.

- Days 5-7
Jaipur
Take a morning train (4 hours) to Jaipur. The Pink City's bazaars are best before 11am when textile markets see fewer tourists. Start early at Amber Fort to see elephants make their morning climb. One traveler warns: "The steps to Amber Fort are steep and uneven. Wear proper shoes and carry water – there's little shade." The City Palace complex needs about 3 hours to explore properly.

- Days 8-9
Udaipur
A 1-hour flight to Udaipur saves valuable time. Take a morning boat ride on Lake Pichola when waters are calmest. See the City Palace before lunch to avoid afternoon heat. A visitor suggests: "Book a haveli hotel in the old city – the rooftop restaurants offer amazing lake views at sunset." Local markets come alive after 4pm.

- Days 10-11
Jodhpur
Board a morning train (5 hours) to Jodhpur. Plan at least 3 hours for the impressive Mehrangarh Fort. Get the audio guide for better insight. A recent guest recommends: "Visit the fort late afternoon when the blue houses below glow in the setting sun." The Clock Tower bazaar is most pleasant in early evening as temperatures cool.

- Days 12-14
Varanasi
Fly to Varanasi (2 hours) for your final destination. Book an evening boat ride to see the Ganga aarti ceremony. Start early for a sunrise boat trip along the ghats. One traveler notes: "The morning boat ride was peaceful, but bring a light jacket – the river breeze is cool before sunrise." Explore the old city's narrow lanes with a local guide to avoid getting lost.

What people love about 1-month+ India tours
- Iconic India
We had an amazing tour. Out tour captain Soorya was great, very helpful and considerate. Tour itinerary was also very good. We got to see a lot of places and guides helped to learn and enjoy Indian culture.
- India South & North
The south was excellent, our guide Chandra Bose is very knowledgeable about his country, its history, and its traditions. He was extremely caring for each member, we felt safe at all times, he attended to all of us in all ways at every point on the tour. We felt we had a thorough knowledge of the South of India. The local guides were, also, very well informed and shared their knowledge with us The North was a different story with its highs and lows. We felt our guide was mediocre at best. The northern guide seemed bored, reluctantly answered questions, showed no enthusiasm, bordered on being rude, he comes across as aloof and arrogant.. Ignored the needs and necessary caring of the group members, insulting them by calling us CHILDREN! The guides in Bundi and Jaipur were very poor. They were not knowledgeable (the observatory guide said we should buy the book if we wanted to know anything!!) and we actually had to listen to guides from other tour companies to get an explanation. They rushed us through (actualy running in certain areas)! The city walking tours were useless, being rushed through and not able to enjoy the sights.
- North and South India Tour
Wonderful choices of destination , and often interesting and magical mid level accommodations. I absolutely loved the houseboat tour, desert night, and parts of Rajasthan. Well done and affordable. Packed with interest and magic.
