Wildlife Trekking in South East Asia

Trek 60-80km on flat dirt roads to UNESCO's Sambor Prei Kuk and see wild jungle temples with rare octagonal structures dating to the 6th century. Cycle 40km through off-road trails from Angkor Thom to Ta Prohm's tree-covered ruins and Preah Khan temple. Ride 50km through rice paddies to Kompong Kleang while cruising Tonle Sap's vast inland sea and spotting diverse birdlife in traditional floating villages.

Trek 12km through Phnom Kulen's jungle with a local ranger to reach the waterfall, gaining 253m elevation across narrow forest trails, then hike 4km over 90 minutes from Ban Nong Heo through forested hills to Ban Thapene village near Kuang Si Waterfalls and spot freely roaming buffaloes and ducks in Khmu stilt house villages.

Trek from Suoi Thau village through remote Sapa trails to Nam Cang, where about 1,500 Red Dao and Black Hmong people live among the rice terraces, and you'll stay in a homestay in Nam Cang village. The route continues from Thong Nguyen commune to Hoang Su Phi Bungalow, then through tea hills to Ngu Lam Peak on Cat Ba island.

Trek 10km through jungle trails in Ratanakiri to reach remote tribal villages, gaining 300m elevation and learning jungle survival skills, then boat the Mekong River near Kratie to spot critically endangered Irrawaddy dolphins and hike 14km across Angkor's temple complexes.

Walk through remote Khmu villages in Vang Vieng and hike 4km through forested hills to Ban Thapene gateway near Kuang Sy Waterfalls. The trip takes you to Bolaven Plateau for a 3.5km hike to Tad Yuang waterfall through the National Biodiversity Conservation Area, then continues through bamboo villages of the Laven and Souay communities.

The 10km trek through Y Linh Ho and Lao Chai villages covers 400m of elevation across terraced rice fields in the Hoang Lien Mountains, and you'll stay overnight with Black H'mong families in Ta Van homestay before hiking 3.8km through Ta Giang Phinh Valley and later cruising UNESCO-listed Halong Bay's Lan Ha section.
