What a fantastic 4 day holiday in the Maldives, only 1.5hr flight from Sri Lanka I was not missing this opportunity. Booking, paying and confirming final reservation details was easy. Arena Hotels has 4 buildings in Maafushi and a restaurant onsite. Great way to save money - do not recommend the food - best meal was a freshly made omelette for breakfast. Accommodation was a bit rundown (balcony door was not locking, resolved by the lovely maintenance team). Don't expect to relax in your room to watch TV as there is no signal (ensure you have your own device). Recommend an island day trip to explore; includes food & drinks and pool access. Snorkelling is a must. Enjoy some gelato, it is so refreshing! Ensure you cover up and wear a hat.
