Busy itinerary but expected given we were only there for 8 days, the communication from Yagiz in the office was superb so we always knew what the schedule was for the next day. Highly recommend the hot air balloon ride in Cappadocia – it is everything you think it will be and more! Overall, the accommodation was good but breakfasts were a bit hit and miss (except for Arte Cave Hotel – that was amazing!) and transport / guides were good. Definitely recommend this format if you only have limited time in Turkey.
Overall the tour was a positive experience, but unfortunately, some of the organisation aspects of the tour were lacking.

- On arrival at Istanbul airport, it took 45 minutes to get into our transfer van. We were told to sit and wait just outside the airport. Driver asked us to confirm hotel location.
- Istanbul tour. As this was a Sunday there was no Grand Bazaar which we were not informed of. All other people on the tour had lunch included, but we didn’t.
- Unnecessarily early flight the next morning to Cappadocia - easily could have been the evening before. No breakfast provided before the flight, even after it was requested and a breakfast pack confirmed.
- We asked to change our Wednesday flight (on Monday) to the afternoon from Cappadocia to Izmir, due to Tuesday balloon flight being cancelled. They were helpful and rebooked our flight and transfers. We found the company extremely slow in trying to secure another balloon flight for Wednesday therefore missing out, although in the end it was cancelled anyway.

- Not advised on the cost of entrance fees until after fully paid and secured. ENTRANCE FEES ARE HIGH. We were told to bring euros and cash only, but all areas would only take Turkish Lira and they allowed card payments.
The tours, tour guides, standard of hotels and other people we met along the way made an enjoyable and informative week in Turkey.

The only service I got was bookings for hotels, accommodations, transportation and local tours that I could have booked myself for a lot cheaper. I also spent 3 days on my own with no activities. Transportation was supposed to be included from AP, but they wouldn't pick me up at the train station on my arrival to Istanbul. Excuse was their insurance wouldn't cover it. This of course is a bunch of BS.

You are paying commissions to two travel agencies (City of Sultans and Tourradar). All you got were accommodations, transportation, and local tours; this you can book on your own for way cheaper. It was supposed to come with transfers from the AP. I arrived in Istanbul by train and they wouldn't accommodate me with transfer. A huge rip off.

Hiccups were no problems with this company. They easily solved my issues to my satisfaction. They even arranged special private tours during my free time. Yagiz was my contact. He was the greatest!!

We g…We had a dozen of questions before we booked a tour with City of Sultan. They have been nothing but prompt and accommodating in making sure the tour goes well with the rest our holiday itinerary. We get updates on flights and pick up times which made the transfer really easy, more so if you are a solo traveler who needs a reliable operator. The tour itself was adequate and feels like it touched the essentials. The tour group was not big and so it didn’t feel rushed. Hotels and vans were decent and the guides were okay. Special mention to online tour correspondent Yagiz who managed to make last minute adjustments to our plans. We missed our chance to a balloon flight in Cappadocia due to strong winds and decided to forfeit two days of our trip and stay back. He arranged for hotel pick up and transfers to make sure we catch up with the tour and that was something you don’t really expect tour operators would do.

The tour was great with hotels in excellent locations. The buffet food options could’ve been better during the Ephesus tour but otherwise everything was pretty smooth and well planned.

The itinerary was perfectly paced and covered all the must-see highlights, from the majestic Hagia Sophia and vibrant Grand Bazaar in Istanbul to the surreal landscapes of Cappadocia and the ancient ruins of Ephesus and Pamukkale.
The hotels were comfortable and well-located, especially the cave hotel in Cappadocia, which was a unique treat. Our guides were knowledgeable, friendly, and incredibly organized. The Skip-the-Line tickets made sightseeing so much smoother, and the included flights between regions saved time and hassle.
Everything was seamless thanks to the 24/7 support from the City of Sultans team. I felt well taken care of throughout the trip. Highly recommend this tour to anyone wanting to explore Turkey’s rich history and stunning natural beauty with zero stress.

The timings of the flights and tours were impeccable, we have enjoyed our tour thoroughly, our guide in Istanbul was a knowledge house.

The hotel in Istanbul (Recital Hotel) was located very close to the tour sites and also very clean, the breakfast was great.
For dinner, there are a lot of places to eat nearby in Istanbul, so you can take your pick.
The hotel in Cappadocia (Zula Cave House) is a historical rock building converted into a hotel so it was a different experience, the staff was very helpful and always had a smile on their faces, the breakfast was okay.
The hotel in Cappadocia is also located close to many restaurants, so you can enjoy the local food.
Overall, it was worth it to go through with this adventure, thanks to City of Sultans for helping us organize everything.

Ozgur and Yagiz with City of Sultans were there for us all along the tour, always keeping us up to date with the timings and answering any questions that we had.
The local guides had all the necessary information and knowledge, and had all the answers to the questions we had during the visitations of the several sites we had throughout the tour.
Me and my husband were delighted to visit Turkey and wish to do it again in the near future.

We were aware that we would need to pay entry fees for some of the sites, but the costs were more than we anticipated. It would have been good to know about extended periods of bus travel times, eg. 6 hours on the bus return to Pamukkale from Kusadasi. The aggressive carpet selling was not what we had expected. We did enjoy Kusadasi and Cappadocia.
