The itinerary was thoughtfully designed and very well organized, allowing us to experience some of India’s most remarkable places including Delhi, Agra, the Taj Mahal, a tiger safari, and Jaipur. Communication with the company was excellent from the moment we booked the trip, and everything throughout the journey was handled smoothly and professionally.
For travelers coming from the United States, India can feel overwhelming at first. The energy, the crowds, and especially the traffic are very different from what we are used to. Having a well-organized tour and a trusted driver made all the difference. It allowed us to relax and appreciate the beauty, culture, and history of the country instead of worrying about logistics.
One thing that particularly impressed us is that this is a woman-run company that makes a real effort to support and include female guides. As a mother and daughter traveling together, this meant a great deal to us. We had the opportunity to meet multiple female guides during our trip, and each of them was knowledgeable, professional, and wonderful to spend time with. Hearing their perspectives and personal stories added a depth to the experience that we truly valued.
Our driver, Raji, was exceptional. He is a quiet, humble, and very kind person who took wonderful care of us throughout the entire journey. Driving in India can be intense, but Raji handled every situation with calm professionalism and always made us feel completely safe. Although he is naturally soft-spoken, when his personality comes through he is bright, cheerful, and clearly proud of his country. Along the way he pointed out fascinating details of everyday life that we would never have noticed ourselves.
Seeing the Taj Mahal and watching a tigress in the wild were unforgettable highlights, but what truly made the trip special was the care and professionalism of the entire team. We are very grateful to Sonia and her company for creating such a thoughtful and memorable experience.
This was truly a once-in-a-lifetime trip for us, and we are so happy we chose this company to experience India.

We couldn’t have been luckier with our driver, Ra Rampal. He was absolutely excellent and deserves a full five stars. We have travelled all over the world, but never have we experienced traffic like we did on this trip — yet at all times we felt completely safe and very well looked after. His driving was incredibly skilful and calm.
Rampal was like a little fairy — every time we came out of a site, hotel, or attraction, he was already there waiting for us. He always opened doors, chatted with us, and was friendly, courteous, and professional throughout the entire four days. Nothing was ever too much trouble for him, and he genuinely made our trip more enjoyable and stress-free. We would highly recommend him to anyone.

From start to finish, this four-day tour was extremely well organised and ran seamlessly. At every destination, we were met by knowledgeable local guides who took great care of us. They explained everything clearly, were very informative, and made each place come alive.
The hotels were of a great standard and in excellent locations, which made the journey even more comfortable. From the moment we booked, Sonia took care of absolutely everything — from reminding us about our e-visa to providing a detailed, clear itinerary. We felt supported and well informed at every stage.
There is genuinely nothing we could fault about this experience. We would highly recommend this company and would not hesitate to book with them again.

A special mention to our amazing driver, Booran Singh, who was one of the best parts of our trip. He was the sweetest, most genuine person — always smiling, helpful, and professional. He took such pride in his work, keeping everything spotless and making sure we were comfortable and had water at all times. Our tours in every city were very informative and gave us a lot of background on each of the areas we got to see. Our hotels were very nice in each of the cities. The best part was our driver Parveen who took us safely from one spot to the next and was always quick to share a laugh or some delicious samosas. The only thing I’d be weary is in Delhi note that a lot of the big sites are closed on Monday so if your trying to see the red fort try to catch that a different day.

Upon arriving in New Delhi, we were contacted and greeted by our fantastic driver Rampal. Not only was he a very skilful and professional driver, navigating the chaotic streets with calm and ease, but he was also so very friendly and incredibly knowledgeable about his country. We had a wonderful 5 days being driven by and learning from Rampal who always made us feel comfortable, safe, and most welcome!
Our first day in New Delhi was amazing. We were blown away by all the new sights, sounds, and smells! It is a very impressive city that we were glad to have explored. The rickshaw ride through Old Delhi was a highlight of the day and an experience we will never forget. Our tour guide Sunny was so helpful and informative. He knew so much history and information about each location and really helped us understand this new country, giving us excellent advice, tips, and recommendations that served us very well for the rest of the trip!
Onward to the breathtaking Agra, which was truly the experience of a lifetime. The majesty of the Taj Mahal by sunrise can not be sufficiently expressed in words and the Red Fort was a jaw dropping, eye opening wonder that has us in awe around every turn!! Our tour guide in Agra was Vijay who was so passionate about this city and the locations he took us to. He was a wealth of knowledge and really helped us to understand the depth of history in this incredible city. He also led us safely around the very crowded locations and took many exceptional photographs of us, leaving us with some outstanding tangible memories of this mesmerising city. The hotel in Agra was lovely and comfortable and breakfast was delicious!!
On the way to our next stop, we stopped at the epic Fatehpur Sikri which was surprising in its impressive scale, history and beauty. Our charming guide Bunty took us around this striking moment, giving us rich historical details and sharing a joke or two! It was wonderful addition to our journey.
Our next stop was Ranthambore and despite arriving quite late, the hotel staff were very accommodating and the hotel itself was just gorgeous!
Our tiger safari was early the next morning, and whilst we didn't see any tigers, we saw an abundance of other delightful animals in the lush jungle, and many interesting and unexpected sights on our way there and back through the town. Our guide and driver did their very best to make this lovely experience a memorable one.
Our final destination of the tour was the spectacular Jaipur. After a small glitch with the accommodation booking, that was quickly remedied, our hotel was wonderful and welcome.
The next day we spent sightseeing in Jaipur and was one of the most awe-inspiring of our lives! There is just so much to take in, from the astounding forts and palaces, the mind blowing observatory, to the resplendent Pink City, the sumptuous palace museum, and even to the bustling streets of the city itself! Everything about this stop was fascinating and fantastic! Our guide Rajesh truly helped us to get the most out of this day. He had such a great understanding of the city and it's history, was able to clearly explain to us every aspect of each location and did so with such depth and joy that we couldn't help but be captivated at every turn! Jaipur really was a fabulous way to end what had been a truly magical and memorable holiday!
At each of the locations, there are stops to various factories and workshops that give a bit of insight into how the iconic crafts of India are created. Whilst it is very clearly an opportunity to sell these items, it is also incredibly interesting and, for the most part, time we found well spent.
We were also met at almost all of the locations by local people, either selling their wares or asking for money. At times this was a little confronting and whilst it didn't sour our experience at all, it is something I recommended anyone taking this trip needs to prepare themselves for.
Overall, we had a wonderful time and we highly recommend this trip to anyone who is limited for time and wants to explore a little of this extraordinary country!!

From start to finish, everything was perfectly organized and thoughtfully curated. Each guide and tour went the extra mile to make us feel not just like guests, but like family. Their deep knowledge of the history, culture, and hidden gems of each location gave us a true taste of real India — far beyond the usual tourist experience.
A very special thank you to our driver, Rajuddin, who was the absolute highlight of our journey. He was not only an exceptional driver — calm, skilled, and reliable — but also a genuinely warm and caring presence throughout the trip. Always punctual, always smiling, and always going out of his way to make sure we were comfortable and safe. Rajuddin is a true star, and we felt incredibly lucky to have him with us every step of the way.
What made this trip even more memorable was the incredible surprise they planned for my birthday in Jodhpur. They went above and beyond to arrange the best table at the best restaurant in town, with a breathtaking view of the majestic Mehrangarh Fort. It was an unforgettable evening that touched our hearts deeply — a celebration that will stay with us forever.
The itinerary was perfectly balanced with a fantastic mix of must-see attractions, cultural experiences, and local flavor. Every city brought something new and exciting, and the professional staff made sure everything ran like clockwork.
If we could give 10 stars, we absolutely would. Highly recommended for anyone wanting a stress-free, immersive, and unforgettable introduction to India.

She responded to emails and WhatsApp messages within minutes, providing prompt and helpful solutions.
Our driver, Raju, was with us for the first seven days, ensuring we were comfortable and well looked after. He provided water, made sure we were safe, and drove us around with great care.
Special thanks to Alvina in Delhi! Having a female tour guide was such a wonderful experience—she was knowledgeable, professional, and made us feel completely at ease. The other guides we met were excellent as well.

Holy cow (there were lots of them)! What a trip! Usually I stay away from tours since I don’t enjoy being on a charter bus with a lot of other people and keeping a strict schedule, but my friend and I…Holy cow (there were lots of them)! What a trip! Usually I stay away from tours since I don’t enjoy being on a charter bus with a lot of other people and keeping a strict schedule, but my friend and I did a lot of research and realized booking a tour was necessary for foreigners in terms of safety and comfort. Luckily, this tour was a private tour where we had a private, air conditioned vehicle (which happened to be 4 months old with an English-speaking driver—we lucked out!).
At each city, there would be a new English-speaking tour guide who would accompany us for the day (in our private car) and give us the history, background, and stories of places we would go sightsee. They were very knowledgeable, resourceful, and helped us take pictures. It was the nice to have a tour guide in each city since they helped with exchanging currency, translating, haggling, and explaining logistics and history of the cities we were visiting. The sightseeing was phenomenal, especially since it was paired with the tour guide’s knowledge of each place. Of note, the tickets to each place are out-of-pocket expenses (not expensive, mostly less than $7 per person at each place). We saw tons of animals throughout the trip, including a tiger in Ranthambore which we lucked out on! Not shared in the itinerary given online or presented to us when we arrived is that the tour guide and driver will bring you to see local artisans explaining the process of making a regional handicraft (e.g. rugs in Delhi, marble mosaics in Agra, miniature art in Udaipur, and jewelry in Jaipur). After explaining the process you’ll have an opportunity to purchase their art and you can customize as well (they all accept credit cards). It supplemented the trips to each city very well (and were some of my favorite parts of the trip) but I didn’t expect these stops, which took about 1-2 hours at each handicraft shop, so I wanted to be transparent to other potential visitors.
Between each city during our transport days, Mr. Rampal would drive us to/from each place and we would take 1-2 breaks per journey for food and restroom stops. Tbh, he was the best!! Not only did he speak English but he was so kind and personable! During the long drives, he explained some Indian culture to us and sang some Indian songs which made us giggle!! The tour comes with unlimited bottled water but at one point he also purchased us some chips because he noticed we liked those snacks, which touched my heart and melted it!! This man deserves a raise and a good retirement plan!! We felt so safe, so taken care of, and so comfortable in his hands. Honestly, I wish I could book him as my private driver for the rest of my life any time I come to India. My friend and I will probably miss him the most from this trip!
This tour is excellent, is pretty much all-inclusive, which alleviated our need to research safe places to eat (breakfast was included/paid for at hotels, lunches were chosen by Mr. Rampal during our driving breaks, and dinner was our choice but we usually chose room service or the hotel’s restaurant). We chose the 4-star option for hotels and I wished we would’ve chosen the 5-star ones. While the hotels are nice for India’s standards, as Americans the boutique hotels on our trip were a little bit of a culture shock (e.g. many showers did not have doors and shared the same space as the toilet and sink), and were as clean as possible but still not up to our personal standards.
Overall, amazing trip with an amazing itinerary and team of people who made it a memorable and safe trip to India. Booking a private tour was the way to go because even though there were daily schedules for the 8 days, there was also flexibility in terms of side places we wanted to stop by, which saved us from ordering a taxi/Uber. I want to come back and tell others to book this tour group in the future because of how much I enjoyed the tour’s structure, itinerary, and services/amenities included. I’m a planner and it was so nice to take a break from planning a trip to somewhere intimidating like India.

As two young women traveling in bustling, crowded cities, Mr. Jai was our trusted guide. We would 150% recommend him as a driver. Last but not least, the cute Sonia checked on me every day how I felt and how she could help me. Last minute my flight got changed so she had to help me reschedule our whole 6 day tour together - she made the best out of it!

The tour was a good way to experience Delhi and Agra. Everything is organized beforehand so we didn't need to worry about things as we went. The quality of guides (notably all male) is very variable, some better than we could have hoped for, others quite disappointing. Hotel also wasn't as promised a three star but less and quite dirty. On the upside we were more than happy with our driver and the philosophy of the travel agency.
The biggest positive surprises by far were our driver Shiva and our tour guide Dilip Singh for Agra! Shiva is very attentive and has a safe driving style in India! During drives he told us stories and explained things we were wondering about, generally letting us take a peak into Indian culture.
Our tour guide Dilip surprised us with his extensive knowledge and amazing stories as well as the best photo spots for Agra and protected us from hawkers and explained how to best deal with them. He even offered the tour in German for us and was very easy to understand and answered all the questions we had. His way of explaining made the tour fun and enjoyable.
Our tour guide for Delhi was also pleasant but it felt very rushed to move through all stops without taking the time to properly appreciate all of the different things we were seeing.
Our guide for Fatehpur Sikri on the other hand did not live up to our expectations, he didn't speak English very well and was hard to understand and seemed to not understand all of our questions as well. He said he was a regular guide and didn't want to get on the hawkers bad side by protecting us. He also pushed us to buy things and kept our change from buying tickets.
The hotel also posed a problem for us as we paid quite much for the tour and expected a three star hotel. We were frustrated to see our hotel not meeting general standards for three star hotels regarding safety, cleanliness and general upkeep. The restaurant inside the same building is a good way to find something to eat, as otherwise we wouldn't have had the chance though they also pressure to leave reviews on common websites. The wifi does not work reliably, which can cause problems to tourists who are reliant to it.
Generally, we really liked the idea of a women-led company and empowering women from India as well as from around the world. Our contact with Sonia was consistent and attentive. She made us feel looked after and safe.
It was a journey that we will surely remember for years to come and treasure in our memories.

Raju was an incredible driver. I was extremely comfortable the entire time I was with him. And Dilip was an amazing tour guide. He has a clear passion for Agra and was very knowledgeable and funny. I had an amazing time with both Raju and Dilip. I was sad to say goodbye to both of them at the end of my tour.
Shiv our driver was excellent and got us from A to B safely every day - no complaints! If we needed longer at one place or to take a detour to see something else it was all accommodated with a smile.

The tour covered all monuments mentioned in the itinerary and the guides in the cities provided good information (if a little repetitive at times
as it was a different guide for each day in our case)
There are several stops at various shops/cottage industries which are not mentioned on the itinerary where you will have the 'opportunity' to purchase handicrafts/textiles etc. And the lunch stops planned were very much tourist oriented and the prices reflected that.
There was plenty of spare time on the 7 day tour for us to make our own evening/dinner plans and explore independently which was appreciated.
Sonia was on hand at all points if needed and her communicated prior and during the tour was excellent. We upgraded to 4 star hotels after booking with ease

All throughout the build up to the trip Sonia was helpful in answering all my questions and when I met her at the start of the trip she told me her background and how she managed to educate herself with the help of her parents and ultimately start a business. This, as well as the fact that she now trains up other young women into the business was very inspiring. The trip itself was great. I stayed in some lovely hotels, especially the one in Ranthambore. My driver Dev was a very polite young man who drove me everywhere and was always helpful and good company. The guides that were provided at each destination were all very informative and were quite humorous just for good measure. All in all I had a great few days on what was a jam-packed tour and really grateful for the experience.

It was a great experience exploring North India with Joyfull Holiday. Everything was planned perfectly, we (2 travelers from Europe) felt absolutely safe, in good hands and informed at all times. India surprised us at its most beautiful. We would especially like to thank all the travel guides who ideally complemented our stay. We would also like to thank the great women at the agency and of course Sonia, they are doing a wonderful job! We would also like to particularly highlight our driver, Mr. Dev. He guided us safely through the crazy Indian traffic, was always ready to provide information but was just as confidential. We really felt extraordinary how important we were to him as guests. Big thanks to the whole team!

Firstly Sonia the founder was extremely helpful in organising the tour, bespoking various elements to suit our needs and it was great to meet her on the first day where she told us the inspiring story of how she founded the business. We had a different tour guide on each day, all of whom were very knowledgeable and able to answer the many questions we threw at them, as well as keeping it fun and light hearted. Would highly recommend the tour to any British tourists looking to take in the highlights of Delhi, Agra and Jaipur - its a full on 3 days but well worth it.

Sonia checked in at the end of each day to make sure everything went smoothly and to see if any changes needed to be made. As a solo female traveler, I love that Sonia started her company as a way to create safe holidays for women to travel solo. Of course it has expanded now to help everyone travel safely! I would definitely recommend Joyful Holidays for anyone wanting to travel around India.

Will recommend this to anyone. I have taken two other tours via different companies in India and this was by far the best one I've been on. I was travelling with my mum and we are very glad we chose Joyful Holidays. Thank you very much Ms Sonia for all the organising and adjusting the tour for us and all your patience with my questions . Ms Sonia even made time to meet us in Delhi and it was so great to get a chance to find out more about her life story and even meet her family.
Ms Sonia was always available to answer questions and we always knew what was happening with our day. The itinerary was great, timings worked out perfectly. Definitely recommend adding Dharamshala to your itinerary it was a highlight of our trip all the Budist monestries and mountains were breathtaking. Our tour guides were informative and helpful, specially enjoyed our tour by Mr Vikram in Dharamshala, would recommend more than one day there, we didn't realise how beautiful it is so only had one full day there. Mr Vijay in Agra was also very informative. Our drivers Mr Sharma and Mr Raju were great too! Thank you all for a brilliant trip!
The only thing I'd recommend for anyone booking who wants to see a bit more is looking at the itinerary and asking Ms Sonia for any other sights you may want to see in advance to work out if the timings will work or not.
