Our local guides, Tamer and Ebrahim, were highly dedicated and offered deep insights into Egypt’s history, culture, and contemporary life. The hotel accommodations were outstanding, and the optional excursion to Abu Simbel was truly unforgettable. We also highly recommend visiting King Tutankhamun’s tomb in the Valley of the Kings—an experience not to be missed.

I have a couple of suggestions: consider adding an extra night in Hurghada and upgrading to a domestic flight from Hurghada to Cairo instead of taking the bus. The early morning starts were a bit challenging but necessary to avoid the heat. Street vendors can be a bit persistent, though I understand this is common in tourist areas like Egypt. The sights we visited were truly unbelievable. Ibrahim, you are the best guide I’ve ever had. Thanks again, everyone, for making this experience so memorable!

From the start, John made our arrival seamless. Tamer, our guide, was fantastic—bringing the history of the Pyramids and temples to life. The Nile cruise was a dream with stunning views.
A special shoutout to Ibrahim, our private cruise guide. Always on time, super informative, and a lot of fun. He made everything hassle-free and enjoyable.
We had such a great time and can’t wait to return. Highly recommend this tour if you’re looking for an unforgettable adventure!

An amazing Egyptian tour that covered all the highlights in just 7 days—great value for money. The service was excellent in both Egypt and Morocco, thanks to an outstanding team. 👏

Ibrahim was knowledgeable and brought the ancient sites to life. Without his guidance, exploring temples and understanding their significance would have been difficult. He was always available for discussions about both ancient history and modern-day Egypt.

While it was expensive, we were aware of this beforehand, and it was definitely worth the cost. There are a couple of points where I differ from potential critics:
The early starts: Ibrahim was transparent about these from the beginning and provided thorough explanations for their necessity (to avoid crowds and intense heat). We found them beneficial.
The number of excursions not included: While I do believe Abu Simbel should be included in the itinerary due to its popularity and the lack of other inclusions in Aswan, the overall clarity of the itinerary and the transparent costs of optional excursions meant everyone should have understood what was included and what wasn't.
Overall, it was an exceptional experience that lived up to its promises.

The main tour cost was good, but some extra tours were a bit expensive. Still, they were important, so I'm glad I did them. Our guide, Ibrahim, was awesome. He knew a lot and helped us learn a ton about ancient Egypt.
We had to pay for entrance tickets and tips during the tour. The company didn't take tips upfront because we were a small group of three. They gave us a list of who to tip and how much. We ended up paying about $250 for tips and $130 each for entrance fees for all the tours. The extra tour fees didn't cover the tickets to get in, so we had to pay extra for those.
We stopped at a lot of shops during the trip. Some had good prices, but others were expensive. The food on the Nile cruise could have been better, but it was okay. Overall, we really enjoyed the tour and didn't have any big problems.

The trip was nice, covering Egypt's most famous attractions. However, it felt a bit slow, likely due to its focus on comfort. Still, the team of travelers was very pleasant.

Overall, it was positive, with commendations for our tour guide, Ibrahim, and the vibrant John in Cairo. However, street vendors proved bothersome, causing inconvenience. Also, witnessing the mistreatment of horses during the carriage ride to Edfu was disheartening. Considering alternatives for this route could enhance future tour experiences. Despite these concerns, my husband, Fred, and I appreciate the team's efforts. Addressing these issues would further improve the experience for everyone.

Firstly, I thought I was signing up for a group tour but as it turned out it ended up being a solo tour (the war might have been a factor). I'm a budget traveler and was prepared for gratuities aggregated on a group basis. But I find myself with a guide, driver, and many miscellaneous along the way all with their hands out. I felt constant financial pressure until Ibrahim came to my rescue. Ibrahim was my guide (and companion) for the Nile Cruise part of my agenda. I explained my predicament and he set a reasonable minimum for different services. The sums seemed reasonable to my budget and I could tell that most folks were content with my tips, the occasional one looked a little disappointed, so that told me that the numbers were about right (everyone always wants more). The cruise was my biggest disappointment on the trip. 5* food with a 2* room. The room was enormous for a boat but the upkeep and cleanliness were badly in need of a full retrofit (Cruise ship: Nile Crown). Another disappointment was that all beverages with meals were extra including water (on the cruise and all meals not at the Steigenberger). The itinerary, especially with my optional items Alexandria, Coptic Cairo, and Abu Simbel by air, was fantastic. My tour had many moving parts for a party of one, and Vacations to go never put a foot long. Always someone at the airport to drop me off and pick me up as required. By far the best part of my trip was Ibrahim's expert guiding through the Nile spots. He has good english, is an excellent story teller, and knows how to efficiently see you through the sites, buying tickets directly from other guides when queues were long, and choosing an order that skipped most of the congestion. He also was my banker, exchanging USD at the posted XE rate and / or providing smaller denominations of Egyptian pounds for tipping when required. He saved my trip.

If we had our time over, we would do the same thing!
Things that were great:
- We saw LOTs of stuff - Petra, the Pyramids, and valley of the Kings were some of the highlights for us. There are many, many other amazing places that you will get to visit.
- The tour guides were awesome ; particularly Ibrahim and Bassam who guided us in Egypt did a great job of making the sometimes challenging experience of visiting Egypt as stress free as possible - while at the same time providing lots of context and information on what we were seeing.
- We are not "cruise" people, but we found the Nile cruise was surprisingly good. Given how hot Egypt was when we visited and how hectic some of the sites were, having a relaxed boat to retreat to for part of the day was invaluable. It was very pleasant sitting in your cabin and watching the Nile roll by.
- The Airport greeting and transfers were invaluable and done very well!
- Overall the communication with the tour company and support they provided us was very good ; being able to talk to them on whatsapp and get quick answers was really appreciated.
If your considering this tour be aware:
- The tour does include some places where you are taken to buy things. Examples were the Egyptian Essential Oil factories, the Papyrus factory, Dead Sea products, and Alabaster Carvings. We were fine with this as it was a minor part of the tour, there wasn't much pressure to buy, and we needed to get some gifts for people back home. We bought some nice stuff! Some people on our tour really enjoyed the shopping - but we also understand this may not be for everyone.
- You will go to A LOT of places; not all of them will be great for everybody - The Red Sea Resort and Alexandria were two places that didn't resonate as much for us. If you are spending 16 days seeing multiple things a day, not all of them will be winners.
- Perhaps we should have done a bit more research, but we found the prices in Jordan were quite high. Most meals cost more than they would have in Australia, which we found surprising - expect to spend quite a bit on food.
- The tour can be more of an "adventure" style trip and your will get more out of it, if your prepared to push yourself out of your comfort zone. For example we spent 12 hours hiking around Petra in intensly hot weather - and loved every minute of it! You don't have to do this, and it may not be for everybody. Be aware that the more you put in, the more you will get out!
A few things that could have been improved:
- There were some mistakes with my partners name and the airline tickets which the tour company booked for us, which resulted in her being charged extra, and having to re-book tickets.
- We were looking forward to trying some amazing Jordanian and Egyptian food. There definitely are some good places the tour will take you to - but also quite a few where we came away feeling underwhelmed ; particularly given the high prices of food in Jordan. We found that that some of the best meals we had were places we found by ourselves in our free time.
Overall we would happily recommend this tour to anybody who is keen to see as much of Egypt and Jordan as possible and has a yearning to explore!

My daughter and I were arriving from Nairobi and getting in at an awkward early morning time. Michael happily met us at airport at 2:00 AM, and walked us thru visa/check in and put us in paid transfer to a lovely hotel. We were there 2 days early and had fun exploring Cairo before tour actually started. We always felt safe in this fun, crazily chaotic city and the Ubers are cheap, running about a dollar each ride.
Our tours of pyramids/Sphinx/camel ride/Museum were positively accentuated with our knowledgeable tour guide Bassem.
We then took a flight to Aswan and were met by Ibrahim who I cannot say enough good things about. We had 4 delightful days with this man, who was earnestly solicitous, incredibly knowledgeable, and just so absolutely adorable.
The cruise ship was fun, and offered some relaxing times from the fairly hectic schedule of seeing all the temples. We were there in summer so it’s understandable why we got such an early start every morning, to try to beat the heat.
The end of trip was perfect staying in a Hurgatha resort where it was pure relaxation.
We were initially hesitant to visit Egypt but all those reservations went out the window. We felt very safe, taken care of being met by friendly Michael, and had a great tour group. I highly recommend Vacations to go travel for any of your tour needs. They hire really good guides and their employees are top notch.

This tour was truly the trip of a lifetime. I traveled as a single woman with my female friend, the two of us were the only ones signed up for the tour on the particular dates we went so it ended up being a private tour for the two of us. We felt incredibly safe with our local guides and drivers who were beyond accommodating and kind.
Shoutout to Magdy who coordinated with us prior to the trip, he answered my many questions and made sure everything was super smooth and planned out for us. Airport transfers, accomodations, and meals were all amazing. Tours of each city and historical site gave us insight into the history and culture. We also learned a lot about how locals think and experienced things we could not possibly do on our own.
We were incredibly lucky to be traveling when we were, despite the hot summer weather, as our visits had few tourists and we felt we had the whole place to ourselves. The obvious best experiences included the Great Pyramids, Abu Simbel, the many attractions of Luxor, Chefchaouen, Merzouga and camping in the Sahara desert, Petra and Wadi Rum. Hotels were great and included delicious meals (especially the dinner at Dades Valley in Morocco). We visited many local artisan attractions such as a ceramics establishment, tannery, papyrus factory, etc. and never felt pressured into purchasing anything. Our guides did a great job in explaining everything we would need to know prior to each visit and ensured we were comfortable and safe.
If you are considering this tour, I highly recommend you do it as you will gain knowledge and experiences that you cannot find elsewhere.

Would recommend highly with a couple of suggestions. Firstly, tell vacationers up front and before travelling that you have to purchase all beverages with meals, tip everyone and all these usually only take cash...bring lots!! Be prepared to be warmly welcomed by the Egyptians and to see many wonderous things. Our guides Ibrahim and Sara were so knowledgeable about the history and places to see. So glad we decided on an escorted tour and Vacatios to Go Travel.

I can highly recommend them. They were flexible in the arrangements in that we asked to have our free day changed from the second day in Cairo to the first day because our party arrived after a 24 hour trip from the West Coast of the US. If you are in this situation, I highly recommend having a light day on the day after you arrive in Cairo. Our guides (Abanoub Talaat and Ibrahim Elmounir) were knowledgable and spoke good English. They often took us to locations that were not frequented by other tourists. Michael Adolf who was our contact person in Cairo was very helpful in suggesting a local restaurant and finding a pharmacy when one of our party needed a medication. Our dahabiya boat was comfortable and the cooks prepared great food, both taste and quantity. It was certainly relaxing to be cruising the Nile. However, you should be aware that the boat was not air conditioned (it was unseasonably hot for a few days). In addition, there is no hair dryer or shampoo/conditioners provided so you will need to provide your own. Although the boat had sails, they were only used for a few hours. Most of the time we were pulled upriver by a tug. Our hotels were excellent with swimming pool, gym and good restaurants. The Steigenberger El Tahrir is NOT directly on the square which is probably good (not as noisy). You should be aware that there may be a couple of early morning starts, e.g., 4 am pick ups. A breakfast box is provided, however. Finally, tipping is pervasive. Fortunately, they accept (perhaps prefer?) US dollars. One dollar bills are not preferred because Egyptian banks sometimes do not accept them and therefore Egyptians have trouble converting them to local currency. Five dollar bills are OK, but for smaller tips and for admission to the "pay" toilets that are at the tourist sites, you should get some small denomination Egyptian pounds (current exchange 30 LE=1 US$); therefore 10, 20 and 50 LE notes will be useful. Bring lots of sunscreen, insect repellent, sunglasses and a wide brimmed hat; be prepared to have a great time.

Tamer also knew his stuff. I liked that essentially all meals were included in the cost. I thought all the accommodations were excellent.
