I joined this Ninh Binh day trip from Hanoi and it turned out to be a really rewarding experience. We were picked up in the morning and the drive was comfortable, with the guide sharing background along the way so we knew what we were seeing. Our first stop was Hoa Lu, where we walked around the Dinh and Le dynasty temples and learned some interesting history without it feeling like a lecture. Lunch was at a local restaurant and was simple but satisfying, which was perfect before the afternoon activities. The boat ride in Trang An was a highlight. Floating through quiet waterways surrounded by limestone mountains and small villages was incredibly peaceful and gave us plenty of time to relax and take photos. Later in the day we climbed up to Hang Mua. It is definitely a workout, but the view over the Tam Coc landscape at the top makes every step worth it. The day was well organized and never felt rushed, even though we covered a lot. We got back to Hanoi in the evening tired but very happy. If you want to see the best of Ninh Binh in one day, this tour is a great option.
