- Day 1
  Los Cristianos to La Gomera
  Start in Los Cristianos, Tenerife and take the evening ferry (6:45 PM) to La Gomera. A fellow traveler shares: "La Gomera is a jewel of an island. Lush and tropical feeling in parts and barren in others. It feels very authentic and not too touristy." Your hotel is just a 5-minute walk from San Sebastian port but be ready to carry your luggage.
- Days 2-3
  San Sebastian & Garajonay National Park
  Visit the Columbus sites in San Sebastian including the well where he drew water before his American voyage. Take on a challenging hike through Garajonay National Park's ancient Laurisilva cloud forest. A recent hiker notes: "The ascent to Alto de Garajonay and descent through the cloud forest was magical." The 10.5km trail takes about 4 hours with 300m ascent. Wear shoes with good grip as the paths can be rocky.

  Hermigua & Black Sand Beaches
  Visit northeastern Hermigua for a 10km coastal walk to Playa Caleta. You'll walk through banana plantations and deep gorges before reaching volcanic black sand beaches. Plan for 4 hours of hiking with 400m elevation gain. Walking poles will help with rocky descents.

  Free Day Options
  Choose between a 9km hike from Arure village to Valle Gran Rey along the Risco de la Merica plateau or go whale watching. One visitor mentioned: "The whale watching trip arranged on our free day was fantastic."
- Day 6
  Vallehermoso to Agulo
  Take on a challenging 14km hike from Vallehermoso to cliff-side Agulo. This 5.5-hour trail passes Roque Cano rock formation with clear-day views of Mount Teide. A walker shares: "The high level walk to Agulo was fabulous - both the ascent and descent."
- Day 7
  Mount Teide National Park
  Catch an early morning ferry back to Tenerife to beat the Teide crowds. Drive to Mount Teide National Park for a 4km circular walk around Roques de Garcia. A visitor notes: "The final day walk on Mt Teide was exceptional - a chance to see a unique landscape." You can take a cable car ride to the summit for €27 return but book ahead.

- Days 1-3
  Tenerife
  Base yourself in San Miguel de Abona to explore Tenerife. Spend your first afternoon at El Medano beach. The locals know best - go after 4 PM when the strong Trade winds usually settle down. On Day 2 visit Las Cañadas del Teide National Park and take the cable car up to 3,500 meters. Book the 9 AM ride to avoid crowds and the afternoon cloud cover that often blocks the views. Your Day 3 adventure is the Barranco del Infierno hike. You need permits at least 2 weeks in advance and good hiking boots for this one. The 6.2 km trail is steep but ends at a stunning 200-meter waterfall.
- Days 4-6
  La Gomera
  Take the morning ferry from Los Cristianos to San Sebastián de La Gomera. It's a 50-minute ride. The ancient laurel forest in Garajonay National Park looks like something from prehistoric times. Pack a light rain jacket since the high altitude creates misty conditions. Get to the Abrante Viewpoint's glass floor platform early before the tour buses show up around 11 AM. The views of Tenerife are incredible. The 6 km Las Hayas trail goes through what locals call 'the green heart of La Gomera.' Bring layers as the temperatures can change quickly.

  La Palma
  One traveler said it best: 'Watching the sunrise from Roque de Los Muchachos was otherworldly—the sea of clouds below made us feel like we were on top of the world.' Take the early ferry from La Gomera to reach Santa Cruz de La Palma by 10:30 AM. The Caldera de Taburiente National Park has some narrow trails with steep drops so watch your step on the crater rim hike. The Volcanoes Route on Day 9 shows you old eruption sites and areas affected by the 2021 eruption. Walking poles will help with the 650-meter descent to Fuencaliente lighthouse.
