My Sumatra adventure tour with Intrepid with our tour guides Lili and Karim on April 2026 was amazing, I enjoyed every part of the tour. The tour started on time and everything was very well organized. The places we visited were very well chosen, the time we spent in each place was wisely determined and we dined mostly in the best food spots. During the trip we saw macaque, Thomas and orangutan monkeys. Also, hornbill bird, monitor lizard, flying lizard and we were introduced to several plants and beautiful flower species that I've never seen before. The part that I enjoyed most is Sibayak volcano mountain, it is beyond beautiful. We also, danced the traditional Batak dance and had the opportunity to attend an Indonesian wedding. Lili and Karim were very professional, respectful, kind, helpful, friendly, always available, passionate about their work and very knowledgeable. Especially Lili was like a father or an older brother to us. In short, I highly recommend Intrepid for anyone visiting Sumatra.

Was an amazing experience. Learned a lot about different cultures, experienced a variety of wild life, and saw a lot of Indonesia’s natural beauty. Was an awesome way to spend as a solo traveler. Made everything super easy and stress free. I definitely saw way more than I could planning my own solo journey. Everyone was very nice, helpful and accommodating. If you’re thinking about it just do it. But only for those who don’t mind giving up some luxuries for a few days :-)

Great tour! Every guide and driver was helpful and cheerful. Accommodations were quite nice. Everything was well organized. So much easier and more fun than trying to go without a tour.
