My partner and I did the 8-day Lemosho route with Almighty Kilimanjaro, and honestly, we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Swaleh and his team were absolutely amazing. Nothing was ever too much trouble, and they made what was a tough 8-day hike as easy as it could possibly be for us. Everyone had a smile on their face, and you could tell they genuinely wanted us to reach the summit, whatever it took. On summit night they even offered to carry our day bags so we didn’t have any strain on our backs, which made a huge difference when it mattered most. It also happened to be my birthday while we were on the mountain. My partner had mentioned it to Swaleh in passing the day before, and he clearly took note. That evening, before dinner, the whole team came out singing happy birthday and presented me with a proper birthday cake. How they managed to bake a cake at 4,500m above sea level I’ll never know, but I was seriously impressed 🤣 If you’re thinking about climbing Kilimanjaro, I can’t recommend Almighty Kilimanjaro highly enough. The 7-day, 6-night trek was an adventure I’ll never forget. From the moment we arrived at the starting point, everything was meticulously planned. The team from Migration Venture Africa made sure we were prepared, from briefing us about the trek to providing high-quality gear and ensuring we were physically and mentally ready. The Lemosho route itself was perfect it’s less crowded compared to other routes, and the scenery was just breathtaking. Every day brought something new: lush rainforests, alpine meadows, and, of course, the awe-inspiring vistas of Kibo Peak. What stood out most was the exceptional crew guides, porters, and cooks. They were friendly, knowledgeable, and incredibly supportive. They paced us well, making sure we acclimatized properly and took breaks when needed. On summit night, the atmosphere was electric—there was a sense of camaraderie, and despite the cold and exhaustion, the thought of reaching the roof of Africa kept everyone motivated. The 7-day itinerary allowed enough time to adjust to the altitude, which really made a difference in terms of avoiding altitude sickness. The climb was challenging but achievable, and when we finally reached Uhuru Peak, the view was worth every step. I can’t recommend Migration Venture Africa enough. Their attention to detail, focus on safety, and positive energy made my Kilimanjaro experience unforgettable. If you’re looking to take on the mountain, this company has everything you need to make it an adventure of a lifetime.
