What I enjoyed about this trip was that it felt like a real desert experience rather than just a quick visit to the Sahara. The journey from Marrakech to Erg Lihoudi and then Erg Chegaga gave us the chance to see how different the desert can be. The landscapes became more remote as we went, and I really liked the feeling of getting further away from the busy parts of Morocco. Erg Chegaga was my favorite. The dunes were huge, the camp was comfortable, and the evening was very peaceful. We had dinner, enjoyed some music and spent some time outside looking at the stars. The whole five days were well organized, but there was still enough freedom to enjoy the stops along the way. Our driver was also very friendly and made the long drives much easier. If you want to spend more time in the desert instead of simply passing through it, I would recommend this tour. It was one of the most relaxing parts of our Morocco trip.

A very wonderful experience well worth the effort of a long car journey. To see the desert at sunset and sunrise was special and the silence and stars of evening will stay long in the memory. The camp despite being basic was far beyond our expectations and we were well looked after. The drive was safe and comfortable (thanks to our lovely driver Idriss) and Samir was a wonderful guide. Helpful, flexible, knowledgeable and very friendly. Samir helped make the trip easy and great fun. Highly recommended.

I did this trip just after Xmas 2015. Absolutely loved it! We were lucky with the weather and it was not scorching hot and so could do all of the planned walks - Valley of the Winds at Kata Tjuta (The Olgas) and the full Kings Canyon rim walk. Plus there had been a bit of rain so all of the waterholes had enough water to swim in. The Base Walk at Uluru at dawn was a highlight, as well as Kings Canyon. Camping facilities were better than expected, as was the food. Ash, our guide did a sensational job, full of knowledge and interesting stories, plus respect for the aboriginals. I highly recommend this trip!!
