Pedal through the UNESCO-listed Stari Grad Plain on Hvar Island, cycling across 2,400-year-old agricultural fields along quiet coastal roads that lead to Hvar town. On Brač Island, you'll ride past historic limestone quarries that supplied stone for Diocletian's Palace in Split and the White House, with routes from 28 to 80 km winding through traditional stone villages. The Pelješac peninsula takes you through Dingač and Postup vineyards where Plavac Mali wines are produced, and you'll stop at Ston to see 5.5 km of Europe's longest fortified walls and taste fresh oysters before reaching Dubrovnik.

You'll cycle on your own from Venice through the quiet River Sile valley, passing the medieval Torre Caligo tower ruins on the way to Jesolo's Adriatic beaches. The route takes you through Portogruaro's Venetian-style streets, once an important river port for the Serenissima, before catching a boat from Marano Lagunare to see Aquileia's Roman ruins. Then you'll ride along the white cliffs from Duino through Sistiana to Trieste and cross into Slovenia, passing Sečovlje's salt marshes where they still extract sea salt naturally.
