What people love about East Coast USA Tours for Couples
- Autumn Colours
It was well planned. we enjoy it.
- Fall Colours of New England
It was a great tour with a pretty good guide. The Holiday Inn Express in Pittsfield was definitely one I would never go back to. When we arrived, the hallways smelled like a sewer, and evidently they were having issues on the second floor. There was a long brown hair (I have short blonde and what my husband does have is gray) on the corner rim of our tub when we got there and it was still there when we left. Anthony, our bus driver, was excellent--courteous, kind, and helpful. Scott was good, but he kept looking things up on Google and relaying the information to us. To me, he should have been a little more prepared if he is going to be a guide. But, he kept everything going on time, and spent hours looking for our luggage which had been put in an empty room (again at the Pittsfield Holiday Inn Express).
What our customers ask about Romantic East Coast USA Trips & Honeymoon Packages
What are the most romantic destinations for couples in East Coast USA?
If you're looking for romance on the East Coast, you'll find plenty of dreamy spots. Newport, Rhode Island is a favorite - think sunset sailing on the Adirondack II schooner and walks past grand coastal mansions. The islands of Martha's Vineyard and Nantucket feel like stepping into a postcard with their cute gingerbread cottages and quiet beaches. You can stay at nice places like the Harbor View Hotel. In Charleston, take a horse-drawn carriage ride through cobblestone streets and enjoy some amazing restaurants. As one TourRadar traveler said, they loved the "charming atmosphere and southern hospitality." For nature lovers, the Berkshire Mountains and Hudson Valley are perfect for scenic drives past orchards and vineyards.
What are the best seasonal times for couples to visit East Coast USA?
Fall is really special here, especially September and October. You'll get perfect weather around 65-75°F (18-24°C) and those famous New England fall colors in places like Massachusetts and Vermont. Spring is lovely too - April and May bring mild temps of 60-70°F (15-21°C) and Washington DC's cherry blossoms are magical. Summer works well for beach spots like Martha's Vineyard and Newport, though it can get hot at around 85°F (29°C). One TourRadar traveler mentioned that "The beauty of Jekyll Island was exceptional in September, with perfect weather for outdoor activities and romantic evening walks." Unless you're into skiing, you might want to skip winter when it gets pretty cold.
What unique experiences can couples enjoy together on East Coast tours?
You'll find so many special things to do together here. Watch the sunset from an 80-foot schooner in Newport Harbor, take a horse-drawn carriage through Charleston's historic streets, or try local wines in Hudson Valley vineyards. Past travelers really liked the "intimate cooking demonstrations in Savannah with celebrity chefs" and "private lighthouse tours along the Maine coast." You can explore the incredible Breakers Mansion in Newport, drive along pretty Cape Cod roads, or pack a picnic for the beach on Martha's Vineyard. Many tours include special meals like dinners at historic farms and estates.
What's the ideal length for a romantic East Coast tour?
Most couples find that 7-10 days hits the sweet spot. This gives you enough time to really enjoy each place without feeling rushed. The Southern Charm tour, which takes 7 days through Charleston, Savannah, and Jekyll Island, is really popular. The Boston Cape Cod tour runs 8 days along the New England coast. One TourRadar traveler said "The 7-day pace was perfect - enough time to explore together but also relax and enjoy each destination." You get a good mix of planned activities and free time to do your own thing.
How much should couples budget for an East Coast USA tour?
Plan on spending between $350-650 USD per person each day for a quality tour. This usually covers nice hotels like the Jekyll Island Club or Harbor View Hotel, most of your meals, getting around, and guided experiences. For example, the 8-day Boston Cape Cod tour comes to about $657 USD per person daily, while the 7-day Southern Charm tour runs around $457 USD per person daily. You might want extra money for special add-ons like private dinners or spa treatments. One TourRadar traveler mentioned that "The value was excellent considering the quality of hotels and included experiences."
Which destinations along the East Coast are most recommended for couples?
Newport's Cliff Walk and historic mansions are must-sees for couples. Martha's Vineyard is perfect with its gingerbread cottages and peaceful beaches. Cape Cod has really cute seaside towns like Provincetown, and Bar Harbor gives you amazing views of Acadia National Park. TourRadar travelers often mention the "beautiful scenery with lots of wonderful stops" through these coastal towns and parks - they make great backdrops for romantic memories.
