We hiked Kilimanjaro to the summit along the beautiful and long rongai route. We chose a 7 day tour, 5 days up and 2 days to get back down. The walk was absolutely beautiful with numerous highlights from the rain forrest at 2000 m altitude and all the way up to the ice, rock and snow at 4000 m plus. The summit climb during nighttime to 5 895 m is of course strenuous but manageable for most in ok shape, and the total experience was absolutely once in a lifetime.
Our guide Juma was fantastic. He came to visit us the day before the trip and helped us locate appropriate gear. He genuinely cared about us and making our experience wonderful. The pace was a bit slow for us, so we ended up speeding up the tour and completed the route in 5 days, which we were very happy with! Juma was very accommodating, friendly and kind. Communication (which my husband did since the trip was for our honeymoon) was done between my now husband and Debs. I believe it was all very smooth. Highly recommend!

One of the most amazing experiences I've ever had! Migration Venture Africa has an excellent team, great camping structure and wonderful food. The guide spoke very good English and I didn't, but he really made an effort to understand me not to mention solid knowledge of hiking at high altitudes. I went alone with the team and I felt super safe and welcomed by everyone, not to mention the care with both my health condition and little care (pampering) that makes all the difference. I highly recommend Migration Venture Africa
