- Highlights of Kerala
Kerala experience I Loved. It was interesting trip and all the destinations were amazing. The backwater houseboat in Kumarakom was a unique experience and so calming. Mararikulam beach also a perfect chill spot. Hotels were standard but neat and the local hospitality was warm throughout. Good trip.
- Kerala Tour With Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary
Great tour of Kerala, a beautiful state in India, and one of the highlights of my trip was visiting the Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary. It was an amazing experience that I will never forget. The sanctuary is located in Thekkady, a small town in the Western Ghats of Kerala. It is spread over an area of 925 square kilometers and is home to a variety of flora and fauna. As soon as I entered the sanctuary, I was greeted by the sounds of birds and the sight of lush greenery. It was a serene and peaceful environment, away from the hustle and bustle of city life. One of the main attractions of the Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary is the boat ride in the Periyar Lake. I took a boat ride in the early morning, and it was a breathtaking experience. The lake is surrounded by dense forests, and I got to see a variety of animals like elephants, deer, and wild boars coming to the lake to quench their thirst. It was a surreal experience to see these animals in their natural habitat, and I felt so close to nature. I also took a guided trekking tour in the sanctuary, which was a great way to explore the place. The trek was not too difficult, and the guide was knowledgeable about the plants and animals in the sanctuary. I got to see a variety of birds, butterflies, and even a few rare species of animals. The highlight of the trek was spotting a herd of elephants bathing in a nearby river. It was an incredible sight to see these majestic creatures up close. Apart from the wildlife, the sanctuary also offers a chance to learn about the local tribal communities. I visited the Tribal Heritage Museum, which showcases the lifestyle and culture of the tribal communities living in and around the sanctuary. It was a great opportunity to understand their way of life and their relationship with nature. The Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary is not only a treat for nature lovers but also for adventure enthusiasts. The sanctuary offers activities like bamboo rafting, camping, and jungle safari, which are perfect for those seeking an adrenaline rush. my visit to the Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary was an unforgettable experience. It is a must-visit for anyone traveling to Kerala, as it not only showcases the rich biodiversity of the state but also promotes conservation and sustainable tourism. The sanctuary is well-maintained, and the staff is friendly and helpful. I highly recommend adding it to your itinerary if you are planning a trip to Kerala.
