Taiwan Tours for Solo Travelers
Our solo travelers really connect with small-group tours where 8-12 people explore together, giving you both social time and space to do your own thing. Guides like Lily Wang and Vincent Chiang get great feedback for how they tune into each person's interests while keeping the group flowing. The routes work well - you'll explore Taipei's night markets, join cooking classes and take scenic train rides to Sun Moon Lake where you can cycle the shoreline or learn traditional tea rolling. What works especially well is how the days blend guided activities with free evenings, plus sharing real local meals with your group at places like the original Din Tai Fung.

What people love about touring Taiwan solo
- Around Formosa Taiwan
Overall the tour was pretty well organised. No hiccups except for typhoon Podul that hit Taitung on the day we were supposed to be spending a night there. Disappointed for not being able to tour the East Coast as our itinerary had to be changed for our safety and we head back to Taipei along the west coast. The tour guides and drivers were fantastic, friendly and helpful. 5 star service but content of the tour was a bit underwhelming. Taking into consideration the sites we visited, food and people in Taiwan who were very welcoming and friendly, the trip was enjoyable for me.
- Taiwan: Taipei, Sun Moon Lake, Tainan, Kaohsiung, Kenting, Taroko - 8 days
Very carefully planned, knowledgeable tour guide
- Taiwan Express
Guide Alan was great. First and last hotels were great and the middle 2 were passable. Dinner buffet at 3rd hotel was not worth the cost. Food was poor quality
