- Days 3-5
Manuel Antonio & Monteverde
Manuel Antonio National Park offers pristine beaches and abundant wildlife. Look for white-faced monkeys, sloths and hundreds of bird species along the way. Take the Main Trail (1.3 miles) to reach the beaches or choose the Mirador Trail for great views. Your next stop is Monteverde (4.5 hours away) where you can try Costa Rica's best zip-lining through the cloud forest, including an exciting 1km Superman Cable.

- Days 6-8
Liberia & San Juan del Sur
- Days 9-11
Ometepe Island Experience
Catch a ferry to Ometepe Island for a homestay among its volcanoes. If you're up for it, hike Concepción Volcano early the next day. Pack at least 3 liters of water and bring a scarf to protect yourself from volcanic gases at the top. The full hike takes 8 hours but you can opt for shorter routes with good viewpoints.

- Days 12-15
Granada & Leon, Nicaragua
- Days 16-17
El Tunco, El Salvador
- Days 18-21
Copan & Antigua
20 Day Central America Itinerary, incl. Antigua and San Jose
This 20-day Central American odyssey winds through Antigua's colonial streets, Granada's islets, and Costa Rica's national parks. Try volcano boarding at Cerro Negro, spot wildlife in Manuel Antonio, and soar through Monteverde's canopy, with seamless transfers between 10 destinations.

- Days 1-2
Antigua & Copan
Begin your journey in Antigua Guatemala with a Pacaya Volcano trek. The challenging 2-hour climb works best if you start at 2 PM to see the sunset. You'll need a headlamp and sturdy shoes on the slippery volcanic ground. Get ready for an early start next day - the 6-hour shuttle to Copan Honduras leaves at 4 AM. Border crossing takes time so keep your valuables safe and bring small bills.

- Days 3-4
Honduras & El Salvador
Visit the Copan ruins first thing before the crowds show up at 8 AM. The site is famous for detailed sculptures and you'll want to see the Rosalila temple replica in the museum. Next day takes you on a long 6-hour trip to El Tunco El Salvador where you can enjoy the Pacific surf scene and great ocean views.

- Days 5-6
Leon Nicaragua
- Days 7-8
Granada & Lake Nicaragua
- Days 9-11
Ometepe Island
Catch the ferry from San Jorge to Ometepe Island. The Concepción Volcano hike takes 8 hours and it's tough - bring at least 3L of water and start at 6 AM. You can only stay at the top for 15 minutes because of toxic gases but there are good viewpoints lower down if you don't want to do the full climb.

- Days 12-14
Nicaragua to Costa Rica
- Days 15-16
Monteverde Cloud Forest
- Days 17-18
Manuel Antonio
- Days 19-20
San Jose
The Central Market has been around for 120 years with endless stalls selling local food and medicine. Take a morning food tour to try traditional dishes and coffee. A recent visitor shared: "The market's fruit smoothies and chocolate tastings were highlights - go hungry and bring cash for local spices."

17 Days in Central America, incl. Antigua and San Jose
A 17-day adventure connects 10 unique destinations across 5 countries. The UNESCO-listed Antigua, Volcan Concepción treks, Puesta del Sol homestay, and Monteverde's cloud forests await. Expert CEO guidance and border crossing assistance included.

- Days 1-2
Antigua, Guatemala & Journey to Copán
Begin your trip in beautiful Antigua. "The colorful markets attract indigenous artisans from all over the country," according to one traveler. Take time to explore the UNESCO-listed colonial architecture. Visit El Barrio marketplace at night for local drinks. Plan for an 8-hour trip to Copán on Day 2. Pack plenty of snacks and water since construction often slows down travel on Guatemalan roads.

- Days 3-4
Copán & Transfer to El Salvador
Start your morning at the Copán ruins to beat the heat. One reviewer noted: "The knowledgeable local guides can interpret the many Mayan carvings left here over 1,000 years ago." On Day 4, travel to Suchitoto, El Salvador. Try some local pupusas from street vendors - they're only about $1 each and totally worth it.

- Days 5-6
El Salvador Beach Time
Stay in the La Libertad area. One traveler shared: "The sunsets in these small surfing towns are stunning." You can take a surfing lesson at Playa El Tunco for about $60 or check out the Tamanique waterfalls. Book your surf lessons early in the morning when the waves are best and crowds are smaller.

- Days 7-9
Nicaragua's Colonial Cities
Move into Nicaragua to see León's revolution history and street art. Then visit Granada for its beautiful architecture and volcano views. A traveler suggested: "Walking is the easiest way to see Granada's sights. Get a meal on 'calzada', the pedestrian street extending from town to Lake Nicaragua." Take a side trip to swim in Laguna de Apoyo.
- Days 10-11
Ometepe Island
Take a ferry to Ometepe and stay with a local family. One visitor mentioned: "The family we stayed with was so welcoming. Spending evenings with them after activities gave real insight into rural Nicaraguan life." You can either climb Volcano Concepción if you're up for a challenge or explore petroglyphs for an easier day. The paths get muddy so pack light.
- Days 12-13
Monteverde Cloud Forest
Enter Costa Rica and head up to Monteverde at 1,400 meters. Bring warm clothes since it gets cool at this height. "The zipline tours through cloud forest canopy are unmissable," one traveler said. Try the night walking tour to see special nocturnal animals - guides know just where to find the famous red-eyed tree frogs.
- Days 14-15
La Fortuna
Take a boat across Lake Arenal to La Fortuna. Many visitors recommend trying canyoning ($90) or white water rafting. Visit Baldi Hot Springs ($64) in late afternoon to avoid crowds and watch the sunset over Arenal Volcano.
- Days 16-17
San Jose & Departure
Finish in San Jose. Use your last day to visit the National Museum or Central Market. One traveler suggested: "Stay in the Barrio Amón area—it's safer and has great architecture." Book your airport transfers early since morning traffic can add an extra hour to your trip.

Ceci is one of a kind. Leading a group of 21 people across 3 different countries isn’t easy, but Ceci executed it spectacularly. If you ever get the chance to have her as a leader, you’d be so lucky. Her knowledge and passion of travelling is incredible. I have never had a group leader so caring and supportive. Thank you for the special time we shared travelling together ❤️
