Overall, we were pleased with our “Highlights “ tour. I think anyone booking this should know that you are not travelling with a group (as on most tours). It’s really a string of day or two-day tours put together. This particular grouping of activities had a LOT of bus time, so you want to pay attention to that. We changed our second day in Sa Pa to include the cable car up Mount Fansipan. This was definitely a highlight for us (we were supposed to do a 7 km trek). The hotels were all fine. The Lavender Hotel was centrally located, so we were usually the last picked up and the first to be dropped off. The hotel in Sa Pa was basic but the proprietor was exceptional.
