Historical Tours & Trips in USA

There's so much history in the US, and seeing it with your own eyes is how you learn. Imagine going to Atlanta's Martin Luther King Jr. National Historic Site, seeing his childhood home, touring the Center for Civil Rights, and finding the Ebenezer Baptist Church where he preached. At the Jimmy Carter Presidential Library, you'll learn about American history and connect with stories that changed the way people thought about the country. There are so many things on the list, and your journey through history is about to begin.

The first week of the tour good with several attractions to see such The Badlands, Custer state Forest, Mt Rushmore and Yellowstone NP. The canyons were amazing and wildlife is good. On he second week (The Best of Montana), the supposed historic towns were not interesting especially Helena. Only last two days in Glacier NP were good. The driver/guide was good and has local knowledge. It would have been better if the driver/guide has talked more about each destination or anything along the way.

We were fortunate to have Claire Kredens as our driver guide. She is a gifted leader and could cope with ant situation. Such a tour is useful to learn which cities you might like to re-visit because our time in each is very short. Four and five hour drives every other day is exhausting and maybe the number of places visited could be edited downward. On the whole, I enjoyed the trip altho the age range 15-99 is unwise. 15-80 would be much more realistic.
