Besides the fact that Cambodia and Vietnam are wonderful countries and we were treated so warmly, by everyone...what made our journey so memorable was our CEO Kim. He had an infectious fun personality that set the tone for guests and the on board staff. Kim absolutely made the trip for us. Also, we loved the small intimate accommodations on the boat. It was just our style. Not a bunch of stuffy, inflexible, demanding passengers, so everyone go along great and the vibe of the trip was very upbeat and adventurous. We will definitely book another cruise with G Adventures.

We’d heard from other groups on similar tours that their tour guides weren’t as interested in getting to know their group on a personal level, however this was not the same for Kim. I also got a sickness bug on one of the days, and he went out of his way to ensure I was okay and got me some food and drinks from the shop to get me on the mend so I could rejoin the group. All in all, he is amazing at his job and he made my experience the best travels of my life so far. He is a credit to the G Adventures team!

I really liked that we were given different options of what to do in our free time and Kim would go above and beyond to ensure whatever we wanted to do was organised seamlessly e.g. organising transportation for us to see a kick boxing game. The meals that Kimhoun scouted out for us were all excellent. We were lucky and did have a group without difficult people or egos, but Kimhoun really went the extra steps to accommodate everyone. He is honestly the best.

Breakfast selection varied from place to place - some great some-not so much but never bad food! Service at every hotel was great and staff were all friendly and helpful!! Kimhoun was an amazing guide who took such good care of us all the time - he encouraged us to try everything and do everything to totally experience life where we were -he arranged everything for us so we literally had nothing to worry about!! I can’t recommend him highly enough!! Never a dull moment with our group who got on really well together

Kim was my CEO on a trip through Cambodia, Vietnam, Laos and Thailand. Although i was expecting having to reset my needs concerning the housekeeping and quality of the hostels, i had really high expec…Kim was my CEO on a trip through Cambodia, Vietnam, Laos and Thailand. Although i was expecting having to reset my needs concerning the housekeeping and quality of the hostels, i had really high expectations in general, because I was looking forward to go on a trip to south-east asia since I was a child!
But already since the first days it was so much better than I could have dreamed of. Beside the accomondations, which were mostly very cosy and seemed to have western standards, I felt very comfortable in our group. I myself never felt like I had to compromise. Even if the people in the group had different plans for activities, everyone was able to do whatever they wanted to. Kim was always looking for everyone to make the trip a personal highlight to them. Everyday he presented some optional activities to our group (often we got to know some previous experiences of former groups). With the help of this information we could decide whether it is attractive to us or not. If we liked to do one or more of the activities, Kim tried to organise the best trip as cheap and quickly as possible. But if one was not interested in going on a planned tour and wanted to do something on their own, Kim also told them where were the best places to go or what was not really advisable, because its quality isn‘t the best or because it’s flooded by tourists.
One can also realize, that Kim is personally interested in the destinations of the trip. Everywhere he keeps in contact with the people, gets information about the locals and especially their way of living. But we could not only learn from him. I think most people of our group would assert that there was a amicable relationship. He even spends his freetime to be with us - it was just nice to realize that someone also has a personal interest on the people they guide. I think I am speaking for the whole group when I am saying that everybody enjoyed the collective time together in a bamboo boat, while paddling in a kajak, go cycling, playing soccer and pool or even just to have a nice chat while having dinner in a relaxed atmosphere.
Looking back to the trip I would not change anything. Every moment was unique and even if something didn‘t went how it was planned initially, one should just keep smiling about it. After all, these are the moments one will never forget and made the trip to a special adventure.
I would recommend this trip through beautiful Indochina to anyone who is open for different lifestyles, is spontaneous and wants to enjoy different places without being on their own. Especially if you have a guide like Kim, who will infect you with his enthousiasm for travelling and the countries themselves, and creates a good balance of culture , fun and relaxation.
Thank you for the incredible scenery, thank you for creating international friendships and over all thank you for one of my best experiences of my life!

Kimhoun was extremely helpful throughout the tour, not only did he teach us of the history and culture of Cambodia and Vietnam he showed us the authentic way of life in both countries - something I would never have experienced if I had travelled solo.
Throughout the trip Kim shared many stories with the group and gave us a true insight to the culture of Cambodia and Vietnam. We explored secret street markets, tried incredible food and partied with the locals.
Accommodation was pleasant throughout our tour, the rating of it varied from 3/4 star premises - I cannot fault it. Meals were often provided along the trip, we even got to experience local foods such as crickets and seasoned ants!
The experience I had on the tour is something I will never forget - I’ve learnt a huge amount and made some incredible friends, some of which I continue to spend time with today! I can’t thank Kim enough for the amazing sights he showed us and the memories that have been made.

The boat was comfortable and I found it attractive, with its dark polished wood floors and walls. My cabin was not spacious, but more than adequate and the ensuite had a good, high pressure shower with plenty of hot water. I was very impressed by the quality of food served and found the staff to be friendly, competent and very helpful, Kim, our CEO (Tour Leader), was excellent, he worked hard to ensure that all guests enjoyed their holiday. Most of the activities were really well organised and led by local guides, giving us an insight into local life. I would certainly recommend this tour to friends who enjoy my style of travel.

Kim is a caring and sensitive and soulful guy , who is loved by everybody he seems to know and meet. He's got a hard job. I especially enjoyed the rural visits and wish there was more time and emphasis with the smaller one on one interactions with the people in the communities. However I might have overlooked a different itinerary that was offering more of this in leiw of the cultural sites closer to the cities. Kim went the extra mile inviting us to see his village where he grew up. Overall a great time was had with our group. If I did it again ,I'd jump a bit less from destination to destination because a bit too much time was spent on transfers between planes, busses and trains.
