If you're traveling alone or as a part of a small group and are willing to socialize and take part in a lot of fun activities then this is the tour for you. I felt we really got value for money as the tour was full of activities which you could take part in if you wished and equally opt out if it wasn't for you. Fortunately, we got a great bunch of friendly girls who made the whole experience even more enjoyable :)

It is an excellent value for money in that, you feel as though every day is spent in a constructive way doing activities, however we still have time to chill! I feel like the group were excellent and not mention how perfect our tour guide was. Delaney was amazing! - What would we have done without her, she helped everything to run extremely smoothly, while also helping us to party in the evening time. She is kind, caring and compassionate, while also able to have a great laugh with us. The perfect combination of "Mom and Friend" :)

All I can say is BOOK THIS EXPERIENCE! Not one stressful moment, the airport pickup was so easy, then upon arrival to the hotel I was greeted by Delaney. The most welcoming, funny, charismatic and honest tour guide. The first one up in the morning and the last one on the dance floor at night, it's fair to say everyone loved Delaney. To continue, I met 5 friends for life. Trust me- everyone is in a similar position, fairly new travelers and everyone is up for a good time so you have things in common before you even begin! The activities give you a true Bali experience, everything squeezed into 10 days of pure bliss! My favorite day by far was the surfing! So sad to be leaving but already excited for my next Tru Travels adventure! Can't thank you enough!! See you soon!

This is where we met Delaney and Justin who were so welcoming! My favorite activity in the Canggu area was when we headed to Kuta for an amazing surfing lesson. Moving to Ubud for the monkey forest and the rice terraces were great- the monkeys were amazing! The 2AM volcano hike as an additional activity was also a great experience that I couldn't recommend more. Gili T was amazing for the chill days and great nightlife- the Jiggy boat party is a must attend! Overall Delaney and TruTravels could not have provided a better experience. Delaney was always amazing and very supportive and welcoming throughout. I hope to return for another TruTravels tour very soon!

It was generally a really great experience overall. We were able to visit the temples, go to hotspots like Old Mans bar in Canggu, Finn's bar to do ocean yoga and just relax. There was lots to do in Ubud and the days were really packed, which was very different to Canggu which was more relaxed during the day and more for nights out. I really enjoyed going to the markets in Ubud and the restaurant with the pool bar was really good atmosphere. GIli T has been a really good experience , love the atmosphere and night life. The Jiggy boat party was pretty sick and the food has been really good here. It's been pretty easy to get around and the transport has been really good. The tour leader, Delaney, was really chill and I like the fact you can do your own thing if you want to, but there are also plenty of group activities that you can join in with and get to know everyone in the group. I've also liked being able to try new foods and the range of activities on the trip is really good cause there is always something for everyone and plenty of chance to have new experiences and the views have been amazing.

Before our trip, when we arrived and throughout the tour we had great communication between the group and group leader, Delaney. The tour activities were all great fun and each day was filled with a variety of things to do. The group leaser was enthusiastic and helped get the whole group together in the first few days.
We moved around mainland Bali as well as traveling around the Gili islands. Having all transport organized and accommodation sorted really made the whole trip stress free!
The whole experience will be one to remember. It as great having an experienced tour guide who gave great recommendations of things to do during our trip as well as places we could continue traveling after.
Having local tour guides throughout our trip also allowed us to learn a lot about local culture and traditions, something we couldnt of done traveling alone.

Delaney and Minnie were phenomenal people, Tru Travels is incredibly lucky to have them. They have been so helpful and been there whenever we needed. I have always felt safe, secure and been happy throughout the whole tour. They made everyone feel welcome and included and also get us all involved and make us laugh.

I loved loved loved the National Park and Bottle Beach even though I got burnt to a crisp haha but Delaney was right there with a bottle of Aloe.
This tour was perfect for that party vibe we needed after seeing a lot of culture in Thailand! Full Moon and Jungle Party were fab! :)
Unfortunately it was a Buddhist holiday the day of the booze cruise and we could not drink but was still a sick day on the boat with everyone.
Minnie and Delaney have been great! Been right there for everything that was needed and so helpful with our onward travel :)

My girlfriend and I had a great time. Stargazing in Khao Sok, hiking to the thrilling mountain peak at Bottle Beach, napping next to the warm beach bonfire, cuddling up in a hammock at Echo beach bar.…My girlfriend and I had a great time. Stargazing in Khao Sok, hiking to the thrilling mountain peak at Bottle Beach, napping next to the warm beach bonfire, cuddling up in a hammock at Echo beach bar. We made lots of warm and fuzzy memories, and some friends to boot. My favorite activity was the hike up to to the peak at Bottle Beach. The view was spectacular and scary. The hike was neither too long nor too difficult, and worth the bit of effort. We shouted out from the mountain top, and unexpectedly got a reply from a group of hikers making their way up too.
Neither my girlfriend nor I are drinkers, so we didn't have much to do when the group played drinking games which was fairly frequently. Consequently, we felt a little bored at times and also didn't get to bond so well with the group.

One of my favorite activities was the food market Koh Phangan! I love food and having worked in a market before, I always get excited by all the different offers! Also runner ups: Kayaking, snorkeling and off roading!
Shout out to how beautifully the group leaders made sure every place could cater to veggie/vegans making it super easy and delicious!

It was a perfect mix of being completely relaxed in the daytime and having the option to be out at night. Khao Sok national park was my absolute favorite. With no wifi or phone service, it was a great time to bond with the group and get to know each other whilst being in the water all day, whether that be relaxing in the inner tubes or out kayaking!
Throughout the tour we were always encouraged to get involved in activities and informed on what there was to do around us. At the same time, if we didn't want to take part in something it wasn't forced upon us. There was always activities to do and games to play that we were never bored!
This was my second tour with Delaney and Oneway and I am so glad I got to experience all of Thailand with them. They are both so friendly and welcoming and try their best to make sure everyone is having a good time.
Delaney would always make sure we were safe if we were staying out late and always up for a good time with us!
It's going to be hard to top this trip!

Both group leaders were so great and so easy to get along with and a great laugh, and very informative. I feel like there is something for everyone in a Tru tour, possibly the best way to see the country you are visiting as you go to a lot of places and see many different things in such a short space of time. I have loved my Tru tour, I'd highly recommend it and would most definitely do another one!

The island hopper tour encompassed everything I wanted to get out of Thailand. I feel that I can now go away and say I have "done" Thailand right. For me the tour would not have been the same if I didn't have the tour guides that I did. I cannot praise Delaney and Oneway enough. I would be honestly honored if TruTravels would consider me me to become part of their family and explore the world with them and help them to inspire new travelers. I must point out as well that I am so behind the ethics of TruTravels which they do not promote enough - Ex the Phangan Plastic Project which is environmentally friendly. If i had known about the environmental impact TruTravels has before I booked, I would have booked sooner! To summarize I look forward to completing A LOT more Tru tours in the future 11/10 would recommend!

Each place was so beautiful with incredible accommodations. I thought we would be staying in hostels with many people to a room, but I had a standard two person room every night! I was completely guided from the start and brought to lunch by my tour guide on the first day. I was never alone and felt so safe the whole trip. I was also impressed by all the private transportation we received. TruTravels really sets a foundation to make the group bond in the very beginning over drinks which made the rest of the trip so enjoyable because i felt like I was with people I knew for ages. I had an experience of a lifetime at every location and I was never bored. I would highly recommend this trip!!

I made incredible new friends as well as having quality time with my friend who I traveled with. "Island Hopper" was a good reminder of the fact that we would need to get various forms of transport from island to island including numerous boats which were sometimes a bit difficult considering we had been partying the night before. Night life of the islands was amazing and cheap and felt very safe with Delaney who knew the islands really well. Great history and facts about Thailand from Oneway. Was great to have this mix of partying and relaxation.

This trip did not disappoint. I have loved all the activities - although I now know caves are not my thing!
It would be great to remind those on the overnight train that the top bunks get cold so pack a warmer layer.
It might also be nice to stay in a hostel dorm during the stay (not a crappy one :) ) just so people can experience that too.
But otherwise no faults - Delaney and Oneway were amazing and I would definitely come back with Tru Travels!

Some of my favorite activities were the Koh Tao boat trip to see different islands, Bottle Beach in Koh Phangan and getting to see the lovely architecture of the temples in Bangkok. Delaney and Bee were very informative, friendly, and helpful. Bee's english was really good so easy to communicate with her. Would have preferred more activities that 'free time' and less late starts in the day. I would have booked the Full Moon experience if i wanted to drink but had no interest. There was some late starts because of people being hungover so I would have preferred earlier starts.

My trip to Thailand was one of my longest holidays Ive been on as well as my first time traveling by myself so was pretty nerve wracking for me, however these feelings all dissipated within the first …My trip to Thailand was one of my longest holidays Ive been on as well as my first time traveling by myself so was pretty nerve wracking for me, however these feelings all dissipated within the first night or two when I saw the professionality and care that the TruTravels staff provided and the most of amazing experiences the tour had organized. From this point on I only enjoyed myself and was thoroughly sad to leave Thailand and my group at the end of it. One of my favorite experiences was waking up in Khao Sok National Park as well as exploring the beaches on Koh Phangan island. I also just wanted to make a special comment about my two group leaders we had, Delaney and Bee. Both were absolutely amazing in ensuring our trip ran in clockwork as well as providing us with fantastic recommendations and entertainment. I was particularly impressed with how well I was looked after at the airport pickup and when i suffered a short bout of food poisoning. These kind of things make me not only want me to use TruTravels again, but have the exact same tour leaders!

I only booked the trip the day before it started but it was that well organized and value for money that I ended up changing my flights home and extending from the 8 day to the 18 day trip. A decision that I could never regret as each place we visited was amazing in its own way. The pirate boat on Phi Phi, not only was the boat a lot better than previous boats I had been on but was so much fun. There was a good mix of activities to do on it whilst also having a DJ and party on the boat, with our tour leader Delaney and the staff on the boat making it something I will never forget. Definitely worth the extra money. This trip was great value for money with the majority of activities being included and managed to find a good balance between activities, sightseeing and partying. The two leaders , Delaney and Bee, definitely contributed to it by being the best tour leaders you could want providing us with all the necessary information and ensuring we all had a good time.

The boat trip in phi phi was also so much fun. The National Park because it was stunning and I'd never been anywhere like that before. Having the two tour guides worked really well, they both have different personalities and I think it just balanced the whole trip. They were both fantastic and I'd highly recommend them again!

Which after coming back it has widened my perspe…After spending 20+ days with our group and our tour leaders Delaney and May, it opened my eyes to many different opportunities, views, and friendships. Which after coming back it has widened my perspectives on the world and people along with their ways of living. Delaney was fun, entertaining and engaging to say the least, she was great with everyone on the tour, helping with little problems from home, to partying with us till the sunrise !! In the near future, I would book through trutravels again and would hope to have Delaney as my tour guide again.
She made my trip, and after spending 20+ days together she is very much missed.

The tour went by so fast with all the brilliant activities booked such as visiting the temples, elephants and zip lining as well as visiting the lovely beaches of Ko Pha-ngan. Our tour guides were the amazing Delaney, Mickey and Gogi who were on hand to answer any questions and support us with our onward travels. Their ability to lead our group with compassion and energy made the tour!! I hope to come on more TruTravel tours in the future!!

I was originally looking for tours of South East Asia and was intending to book South East Asia On A Shoestring with G Adventures. However, my friend then recommended this tour to me instead as she lo…I was originally looking for tours of South East Asia and was intending to book South East Asia On A Shoestring with G Adventures. However, my friend then recommended this tour to me instead as she loved it. I checked it out it’s so much better value for money. In this tour all your accommodation, transport (bar the odd taxi for nights out) and activities are all included. You never have to worry about missing out on something because you’ve run out of money (Thailand is so cheap anyway) and it’s great because the group gets to stay together. It’s why Tru becomes a big family.
We had a lovely group of 11 of us for the northern tour and 5 for the beaches. We went 25 February-18 March 2018. The weather was fab - only a couple tropical storms the whole time.
Our tour guides were the amazing Delaney, Mickey and Gogi. They were fantastic, great fun, always helping out when we had any questions or needed a little tlc (I recommend stocking up on Dramamine, carbon tablets and electrolytes whilst your stomach adjusts to Thai food and the overnight trains). They were always exactly what we needed. They feel more like friends than tour guides. I’ll miss them when I go home tomorrow.
The tour itself was an amazing mix of stunning temples, waterfalls, zip lining and beaches to name a few. It’s a great way to explore Thailand to get into the culture and adventure. My only regret is that I missed out on some of the activities as my tummy is too sensitive for Asia - need to eat more curries back home! Most people were fine the majority of the time though so don’t worry.
Definitely bring a backpack for this tour and don’t bring too many clothes as they’re crazy cheap and cute out here. Also the massages are superb - 300 baht/£6-7 for an hour oil massage.
Definitely check this tour out. And if you fancy making it a little wilder you can always add on the full moon package in Koh Phangan.
In terms of getting home you can get a ferry to Koh Samui for 200 baht (50mins) and then get a domestic flight back to Bangkok and then home. Hope this helps anyone thinking of booking with Tru!

The hill tribe trek and elephant sanctuary were phenomenal experiences, and the day spent zip lining really exceeded my expectations. The accommodations were nice and the provided meals were delicious. In all, I would 10/10 recommend this trip to anybody interested in Thailand! Definitely worth it, and you'll meet awesome people!

An experience I would never have been able to achieve on my own. Not only beautiful places but also beautiful people. My tour guides Delaney, Phatsada and Alanna made my trip informative, entertaining and authentic. We were able to ask them any questions and they would always know the answer, whether it was a cultural question or simply ‘where are we going next?’ It felt so much like we were being shown a country they were proud of and called home by long term friends.
Additionally, me and my friend hadn’t booked any mode of transportation to get from Koh Pha-ngan to Bangkok. The team were so helpful in getting us back up there in time and ensuring we had some accommodation for when we got there. Their attentiveness was very much appreciated!

With there only being 4 tourists, We were able to establish a real bond with our tour guides and have a more personal experience because of it. I am especially thankful for helping me and my accomplis at the end of our tour with transport back up to Bangkok from Koh Pha-ngan. They were unbelievably helpful making arrangements and calling hotels and hostels trying to find an available room due to many preferred transport options being unavailable. Thank you TruTravels for another amazing experience already planning my next trip as really want to bring my sister too.
