Middle East Small Group Tours
Picture exploring the Middle East with small group for easier logistics. Tours typically cover Jordan, possibly Israel, and maybe adding Egypt, for the pyramids and Nile. Small groups mean you can navigate complex borders more easily, and have better access to sites, especially Petra. The Middle East is so rewarding, you’re discussing religion, politics, history in ways large groups can't manage. The region's fascinating and complex in equal measures.

Reviews of Small Group tours to Middle East
- Anatolian Civilizations (Small Group)
As an agent they were very responsive and easy to reach. My clients loved their trip, the team was very courteous, friendly and kind. For them the speed was very balanced. The transport used was very new and clean. The only complaint was that one of the guide smoked a lot close to the bus and the smell was getting inside the vehicle which was not good for my client since she is allergic to cigarette. The transfer team was amazing helping them with the checking and guiding them through the airport
- Absolutely Turkey (Small group tour)
The reason we chose this tour was based on our experience with a similar tour in Morocco. The first day itinerary takes you to the capitol where the only thing to see is a world class museum. The mausoleum of Kamal Ataturk while is significant for Turkish people, it can be easily missed. The long drive there is definitely not worth it. The second day is pretty much about the museum and the mausoleum visit, plus the underground city which was only a short welcome stop on a hot day. Third and fourth day in Cappadocia are probably the highlights is if you're lucky enough to do the hot air balloon ride. Not included in the price. The jeep ride is more for thrill seekers not worth the extra cost. Fourth and fifth days Pamukkale and Ephesus visits could be longer. Sixth day Pergamon, Troy are great. Seventh day on the drive back to Istanbul the WWI sites are interesting especially if you're from New Zeeland or Australia. Overall if I did want to do a tour of Turkey again I would chose a different itinerary and would spend time in Istanbul. Drive times were also long for frequent stops for bathroom breaks, that were rather cigarette brakes for the guides and the driver. The small bus was comfortable because of the size of the group, each person had a seat open next to them. Accommodations while they were advertised as 4 star, some were definitely way less than that. it would have been great to stay closer to the town center in Cappadocia, and maybe even in one the cave hotels. Food: breakfast and dinners were buffet style except in Ankara. Some better selections than others. The guide's English was ok for explanations given at third grade levels. I hope this review will help you make a decision to pick this tour.
- 13-day Best of Turkey (Small Group Tour)
I can't believe I never left a rating for this tour. It was amazing - from start to finish, this was a polished experience and years later, I still look back on it with exceptionally fond memories. Largely thanks to the warmth, knowledge, and hospitality of tour guide Mustafa and our driver Adil. The itinerary was curated, the hotels were amazing, and we were able to visit a vast number of historical sites without the tour feeling rushed.

What unique access do small group tours provide in the Middle East?
Small group tours unlock experiences that larger groups simply can't access. Groups can enter Petra before the morning crowds arrive and explore the Valley of the Kings in Luxor with dedicated guides. The intimate size allows visits to local homes in Jerusalem's Old City. At the Philae Temple in Aswan small groups get private evening viewings of the Sound and Light show. A TourRadar traveler noted: "Our small group size meant we could visit places larger tours couldn't access like small family restaurants in Cairo's Khan el-Khalili bazaar."
What type of accommodation can I expect on a Middle East small group tour?
Accommodations range from upscale international hotels to distinctive local properties. Guests stay at places like the Movenpick Aswan with Nile views the Steigenberger Royale cruise ship and unique cave hotels such as Arte Cave in Cappadocia. We were able to see how the locals live in the cities and villages."
