India and Nepal Tours & Trips
Picture a sunrise at the Taj Mahal, trekking to Tiger's Nest Monastery in Bhutan, and Kathmandu’s temples that lean at angles they shouldn’t. It doesn’t stop there. Imagine Lhasa's Potala Palace dominating the skyline, and Rishikesh where the Ganges flows past yoga studios. Darjeeling's tea estates rolling down hillsides, inviting you to three countries, one trip.

We would like to commend tour radar and golden triangle for organising our excellent tour of India, Nepal and Bhutan. We were exceptionally well looked after an d nothing was too much trouble for Amit and his employees. The guides and especially the drivers were excellent, and while not everything is perfect travelling in these countries, everyone made an effort to make our tour a journey to remember! We hope we were good travellers and made their job easy. Thank you, Joy and Anika

Cultural Nepal Bhutan Tour with India - M
Michael • traveled in July, 2024
Highly recommended tour! If you're interested in exploring some Himalayan sites and culture (with some Northern India in there as well), this is the tour for you. We started with a few days in Nepal and very much enjoyed our guide in Kathmandu (Nabu). We weren't entirely sure what to expect in Bhutan and can safely say that we were blown away by our time there. Our guide (Jigme) and driver (Namgay) played a huge part in making this portion of the trip so enjoyable; at the same time we were mesmerized by the beauty of the country as well as the food we ate and the history we learned. One of our many highlights in Bhutan was the morning hike we took up to Tiger's Nest. Absolutely stunning! Our journey wrapped up with a six day trek in India that started in Delhi, moved to Jaipur, and ended in Agra. While we had a different guide in each city, we had the same driver the entire time. His name was Manoj and he was so personable, funny, helpful, and resourceful. On our last day in Delhi, our flight out didn't depart until after 10pm, so he drove us around the city to see sights we hadn't seen yet rather than drop us off at the airport hours earlier than we needed to be there. We will certainly not forget him, as we won't forget this entire trip and the incredible work put into it by Odynovo and the amazing travel consultant we worked with (Christal Yao). We definitely recommend this particular trip, and at the same time we so very highly recommended Odynovo overall as a travel company. Every experience we've had with them has been stellar. Don't spend any more time thinking about booking a trip with them...just do it!

Best time to visit India and Nepal
- Winter 2025 / 2026
Winter gives you perfect weather to explore cultural sites and wildlife areas across India and Nepal. One of our most popular winter routes starts in Dubai's old Bastakiya Quarter - you'll cross Dubai Creek in traditional wooden boats and see the city lights from up on Burj Khalifa's deck. Once in India, the cool winter air makes dawn tiger safaris in Ranthambore National Park especially good, and it's the right time to catch sunrise at the Taj Mahal. Our guests tell us they love how the milder temperatures let them really enjoy exploring Old Delhi's spice markets by rickshaw. The journey ends in Nepal where winter brings the clearest mountain views and great conditions for wandering through Kathmandu's ancient temples and busy market streets.

- Spring 2026
Spring fills the Himalayas with flowers and offers the best visibility of the mountains. Our spring routes through India, Nepal and Bhutan make the most of the season - you'll walk through Kathmandu's historic squares, visit local farmhouses in rural Bhutan and make your way up to Tiger's Nest Monastery on its cliff edge. TourRadar customers often mention how much they enjoy visiting Darjeeling's tea estates when the new leaves are coming in. Many tours include time at Chitwan National Park, where spring brings out the wildlife - you'll often spot rhinos and elephants near the water. The pleasant temperatures make it just right for exploring Delhi's historic sites and Agra's impressive Mughal buildings.

- Summer 2026
Summer tours head to higher ground where the weather stays comfortable. Our most-booked summer routes take you through Ladakh to see Pangong Lake's shifting colors and into the monasteries around Leh. From there, you'll move into Nepal's cooler hills and Bhutan's cultural highlights. Our travelers often talk about guides like Amit Tomar, who helps them understand the local summer festivals and customs in detail. Several routes include stops at Paro's sacred places and finish with rewarding hikes to monasteries with mountain views. Summer rains turn Bhutan incredibly green, making it great for photos.

- Fall / Autumn 2026
Autumn creates perfect conditions across all three countries with clear skies and nice temperatures. Our fullest autumn tours begin with early morning visits to Tiger Hill near Darjeeling, where Kanchenjunga peak catches the first light. Many routes include Bhutan's Thimphu Festival, where you'll see traditional masked dances and join in local celebrations. Our travelers particularly like autumn visits to the Sundarbans mangrove forests where Bengal tigers often rest on the riverbanks. You'll journey through Sikkim's monasteries and spice farms before reaching Bhutan's dzongs and village communities. Many tours end with nights by the river near Punakha, where you can try traditional hot stone baths and enjoy dinner around the campfire.

How do people usually travel between India and Nepal?
Getting between India and Nepal is pretty flexible these days. You can hop on a quick flight from Delhi straight to Kathmandu if you're short on time or dive into a more adventurous road trip across the border. The land crossings are actually really interesting - you'll get to experience border town life and mix with locals using different transport options from buses to private cars. A lot of travelers like taking that Delhi-Kathmandu flight but if you're up for something more authentic try the road journey from Varanasi to Kathmandu through Sunauli it's quite an experience.
What are some hidden gems for trekking in Nepal that most people don't know about?
While everyone knows the Kathmandu-Pokhara-Chitwan route there's so much more to discover in Nepal. The Annapurna Circuit is incredible you'll trek through these amazing landscapes and traditional villages with the Himalayas as your backdrop. If you're interested in Buddhist heritage Lumbini Buddha's birthplace is fascinating or head east to experience something really unique - the Mundum Trail Trek where you can immerse yourself in Kirat Rai culture. That Mundum trail is actually part of a specialized cultural trek that's gaining popularity with travelers looking for something different.
What kinds of local cultural experiences can you join in Nepal?

Getting around India is part of the adventure really. The train network is extensive and those overnight trips on trains like the Darjeeling Mail are an experience in themselves. You've got comfortable AC buses between cities and if you want more flexibility hiring a car with a driver lets you explore at your own pace. In cities like Delhi the auto-rickshaws and cycle-rickshaws are perfect for getting around the busy streets.
