What people love about Adventure & Adrenaline Tours in Inca Jungle Trail
- Machu Picchu Jungle Trek 4D/3N (Biking Only)
We booked this trip quite long in advance because we were looking to do something that was not just a plain hike but included a lot of once-in-a-lifetime activities. This absolutely did that. Arriving in Cusco we stayed at Milhouse hostel (brilliant) and had a very informative pre-departure meeting the night before we left on our trek. We were 5 people and a guide which made it really wonderful and personal. The guide was able to give us all such great information. THE GUIDE Percy is probably the best guide in Peru :) His knowledge of the local culture and mountains and jungle are amaaazing. He grew up in Machu Picchu/ Aguas Calientes. You cannot ask for anyone better. He had such a great skill for always taking into account where our stamina levels were and what we were up for. THE ACTIVITIES Riding a bike for about 50km down a winding mountain road sounded like the least "scary" of all our activities but I have to say it was quite hectic for me. A bit scary but in a good way. The views are stunning and its an amazing experience but please be safe on those roads. We could not do the white water rafting unfortunately since the river was too high. I really appreciated the company being honest and rather cancelling an activity (and refunding us) rather than doing something which is not safe. The zip lining was amaaaaaazing. I read some pretty scary reviews before the time but this was wonderful. We felt 1000% safe. No crowds, no long lines, no time waiting around between zip lines. The suspension bridge was such a thrill as well. The hot springs were absolutely wonderful. Such a special place with the clearest water and spectacular views. Sitting around afterwards gazing at the mountains and enjoying a few cervezas was one of the highlights of our week. THE ACCOMMODATION They prepare you for "no Wi-Fi and almost no hot water." We had fantastic Wi-Fi every night at our hostels and great hot showers. The rooms are clean and mostly very spacious. The staff is absolutely wonderful. Accommodation was way above our expectations. THE FOOD The food was great. Mostly 3 course meals in local restaurants which feels like you are eating in a long-lost family member's dining room. Always enough bread, generally followed by a delicious soup, a main and sometimes a dessert. Accompanied by juice and coca leaf tea. Beer and softdrinks for your own account. THE GUIDE Did I mention how awesome our guide was. MACHU PICCHU Our last day on Machu Picchu was exactly worth all the hype. That place is amazing. Mind boggling. Great views. Amazing history. So much mystery and ambience. MY TOP TIPS 1. Mosquito repellent. Tons of it. Our guide warned us before the time and our group did not have more than a few bites but we passed other groups who were pretty much walking around as mosquito-buffets. 2. Sunscreen. Wear it. Lots of it. Tons of it. 3. Pack light. Our backpacks were too heavy because I didn't listen ;) Don't do it to yourself. Pack light and then take out a few more things. 4. Learn all you can. Eat local. Drink the local beer. Walk around in the local markets. Ask tons of questions. Learn a bit of Spanish so you can great people, thank people and ask a few basic questions. (Where? How much? How many?) FINALLY The hiking on the 2nd day was a bit tougher than we expected but other than that the physical impact is really not hectic. Do this trek if you want to see Peru from a whole new perspective.

- Peru: Inca Jungle & Rainbow Mountain Trek
This tour was beyond fabulous! It had the perfect combination of culture, sites and activities. Our guide, Edi, always went above and beyond for our group...and also has the best laugh in Peru! I would definitely book through them again.
