Everest Gokyo Lake Trek -13 Days
The Everest High Passes trek with Nepal Social Trek and Expedition was phenomenal. Over the 15-day trek, our group of three forged lasting friendships with our guide, Achut Pandey, and porters who went the extra mile in everything they did to make our journey culturally rewarding and successful. While not for the faint-of-heart, this route offered views of the Himalayas, cultural experiences and mental and physical challenges that can't be found on the more heavily trafficked routes to Everest Base Camp. We were the only people on the trail for most of the trek. Nepal Social Trek and Expedition, Basu Panday, and Woodapple Hotel and Spa handled the organization and details of our trek flawlessly, including two days of touring in Kathmandu. Thank you Nepal Social Treks for making our dream come true.

Unfortunately the review site does not show any stars for the guide rating. But if I could I would give Gabinda 6 stars. We were alone on the tour. He took care of all the necessary things while I enjoyed the views. Not only did he carry my sleeping bag but I used him for filming me on the trek by installing the gopro on his shoulder straps. Sorry for that ;). Gabinda is a very friendly and professional guide where you always had the feeling not to be alone, to be alone enough and last but not least to be on the save side. Nevertheless we climbed some frozen waterfalls for fun. My wishes were first to him; needing food in the tea houses or wishing to continue the walk when I felt like it. Also he forwarded my criticism about a hygienic detail in one of the tea houses to the owner, which is probably not easy to do. Thank you so much Gabinda. Santosh from Accessible Adventures took care of me while being in Kathmandu. As if he knew what you need when coming back from a tour, he organised a luxury but very affordable hotel room for me enabling me to prepare for civilisation. His friendliness is hard to top. Thank you Santosh. All together I wouldn't know how to improve this tour. I'm looking forward seeing you again - maybe next year?
