What people love about touring Tamil Nadu solo
- Highlights of Tamil Nadu - South India
We highly recommend our two week long trip from Chennai to Kochi. The agent Anu from tourradar and the agents Vaseem and Rita from GeTSHoliday accompanied us perfect from the first till the last second. They fulfilled all our wishes so that my husband and I could start the trip one day earlier than normal. Also we were able to change a little bit the itinerary so that it fitted perfectly to us. Nearly daily the agents wanted to know if everything was fine. As I told them in the beginning that we were not interested to follow the guides after the sightseeing tour of a town into a very expensive souvenir gallery, they reacted at once and for the rest of the trip we were not bothered with it anymore. At the end our fantastic driver Murali drove us from our final destination Kochi to the very South of India to our Ayurveda Resort. Murali spoke very good English and he was patient enough to answer all the thousands of questions we got. He even showed us very nice places which were not on our schedule. The whole trip was so exiting because the attractions from Tamil Nadu and Kerala were so different and amazing. We loved it to get the opportunity to be so in touch with the locals which were very friendly and opened. Most of the hotels were good or even better and just two were ok. But we shared our experiences with our agents and they promised to take our advises seriously. The breakfast at the hotels and the meals at the houseboat were good and our stomachs stayed healthy. India got a special place in our heart and we are sure that we will have other trips with tourradar in future.
- Cultural Wonders of Tamil Nadu & the Beaches of Andaman Islands
We had an amazing time exploring Tamil Nadu and the Andaman Islands this June with MTA. I was traveling with three friendsl. From the stunning temples and rich culture of Tamil Nadu to relaxing on the beautiful beaches of the Andamans, everything was perfectly organized by MTA. Truly a trip to remember
- South India Tour Package with Chennai, Kanchipuram, Mahabalipuram, Pondicherry, Thanjavur, Trichy including meals
We had the pleasure of going on a South India Tour Package that included visits to Chennai, Kanchipuram, Mahabalipuram, Pondicherry, Thanjavur, and Trichy. I was blown away by the beauty, history, and culture of these cities, and I have to say, the meals included in the package were the icing on the cake. Our tour started in Chennai, the capital city of Tamil Nadu. We were greeted by our friendly guide who took us to our hotel and helped us settle in. The next morning, we were off to explore the city. From the stunning Marina Beach to the vibrant markets, Chennai was a treat for all the senses. The highlight of our day was the delicious South Indian meal we had for lunch. The flavors were unlike anything I had tasted before, and the use of local ingredients made it even more special. The next stop on our tour was Kanchipuram, known as the 'City of Thousand Temples'. Our guide took us to some of the most famous temples in the city, and each one was more impressive than the last. We also had the opportunity to witness the famous silk weaving process, for which Kanchipuram is renowned. The day ended with a traditional South Indian dinner at a local restaurant, and it was one of the best meals of the trip. Mahabalipuram was our next destination, and it was a true delight. The ancient rock-cut temples and monuments were a sight to behold, and our guide's knowledge of the history behind them was impressive. We also had the chance to try some delicious seafood dishes at a beachside restaurant, which was a perfect way to end the day. Pondicherry was one of the highlights of the tour for me. The French influence in this city was evident in its architecture, cuisine, and overall vibe. We visited the famous Auroville Ashram and had a delicious French-inspired lunch at a local bistro. The fusion of Indian and French flavors in the food was a unique experience. Thanjavur and Trichy were equally fascinating with their beautiful temples and rich history. Our guide made sure we didn't miss any of the must-see sights, and we also had the opportunity to try some authentic local dishes. The meals included in our tour package were always a perfect balance of traditional South Indian cuisine and modern twists, which added to the overall experience. Overall, the South India Tour Package with Chennai, Kanchipuram, Mahabalipuram, Pondicherry, Thanjavur, and Trichy was a memorable and enriching experience. The meals included were a delicious and essential part of the trip, giving us a taste of the local culture and flavors. I highly recommend this tour package to anyone looking to explore the stunning South Indian cities. It will leave you with lasting memories and a newfound appreciation for South Indian cuisine.
