Spain Tours for Solo Travelers
Solo travelers tend to gravitate toward our northern Spain discovery routes, where the small group sizes - usually around 12 people - make it easy to bond with fellow travelers. These tours include wine tasting in La Rioja, exploring the Guggenheim in Bilbao and discovering the incredible food scene in San Sebastian. Our solo guests particularly appreciate having expert local guides who know all the best pintxos bars and hidden spots in each city. The accommodation mix typically includes centrally located hotels that put you right in the heart of things, making it simple to explore during free time. Past travelers mention that the tour leaders do a great job of creating a friendly group atmosphere while respecting everyone's independence.

What people love about touring Spain solo
- Spain in Style (Small Group)
I recently returned from my Discover Spain tour and it was an amazing experience. The booking process was smooth and seamless, and I had nothing but positive interactions with the team. The tour was incredibly well-organized and packed with activities that I likely would have missed if I had been traveling independently. From the beautiful architecture to the local culture, I was able to see and experience so much on this tour. Our tour guides were knowledgeable, friendly and always eager to help, they made the trip even more enjoyable. The tour hit all the highlights and even had some free time built in for us to explore on our own. I particularly enjoyed visiting Madrid and learning about its history and culture, as well as experiencing the lively atmosphere of Barcelona. The meals on the tour were also a highlight, they were delicious and varied. Overall, I had a fantastic time on this tour and would highly recommend it to anyone looking to discover the beauty of Spain.
- Discovery of Spain - 10 days
This was good tour. Quite a bit of time is taken up picking up various tour participants from various hotels. I would primarily consider this a "panoramic tour". It mostly consists of city tours by bus. You mostly only see just the "highlights" of the city. For example, you don't go inside the Sagrada Familia in Barcelona, just a quick walk around. We opted for the Superior hotels and they were pretty good, although in 3 cities everybody stayed in the same hotel? So most of the hotels weren't Superior. The food was better than I expected. Some of the lunches were at truck stops. Laura was our guide through most of the tour and she was exceptionally good. The local guides in each city were average. I speak both Spanish and English and the guides did cover things in both languages better than I thought they would.
- Charming Spain - 9 Days
Overall we were impressed by the guides, accommodation & busses. The most impressive guide was Y’ael at Alhombra. The least informative presentation was in Barcelona, where we were also not informed that we were being left to find our own way back to the accommodation if we weren’t on the premium package. It was impressive scheduling, given that people were often joining and leaving the tour at different destinations. It was disappointing that we were not offered the opportunity to be taken to the Tirana Festival in Seville by bus, given that it was impossible to get there by public transport.
