Spain Tours for Solo Travelers
Solo travelers tend to gravitate toward our northern Spain discovery routes, where the small group sizes - usually around 12 people - make it easy to bond with fellow travelers. These tours include wine tasting in La Rioja, exploring the Guggenheim in Bilbao and discovering the incredible food scene in San Sebastian. Our solo guests particularly appreciate having expert local guides who know all the best pintxos bars and hidden spots in each city. The accommodation mix typically includes centrally located hotels that put you right in the heart of things, making it simple to explore during free time. Past travelers mention that the tour leaders do a great job of creating a friendly group atmosphere while respecting everyone's independence.

What people love about touring Spain solo
- Spain in Style (Small Group)
My husband and I really enjoyed this trip!! The tour was excellent, and our guide, Juan was very knowledgeable and friendly. The drivers, Luis and Mateo, were also very helpful. The weather was lovely, and Spain's beauty left a lasting impression on us. We saw a good amount of the country and can't wait to come back to explore even more.
- Discovery of Spain - 10 days
It was a pleasure to use your company. Overall, our trip was amazing. I thought the itinerary was well put together and we were able to see the major historical sites. We paid for the superior package which included more meals, higher end accommodations, and various other extras. Pros - did not have to drive - did not have to set up the tours - the hotels were clean - checking in was flawless - well organized - breakfast at all the hotels was most definitely Mediterranean style - saw the highlights of every city - great beginner crash course - be sure to purchase your own tickets to go inside Sagrada de Familia in Barcelona - the tour included walking outside which gave you the history and the understanding of the outside but going inside is an entire experience by itself - bus drivers need to take rest breaks often in Spain so we were able to get off the bus and stretch our legs - plenty of restroom stops along the way from place to place Cons - walking tour guides were very knowledgeable and spoke English well - bus tour guides English was very difficult to understand - bus ride to Barcelona and then Barcelona to Madrid was loooooongggggg - maybe take the group back to Madrid via Bullet Train (2 hours) verses a 6 hour bus drive - this will give the group more time in Madrid to see the sites the tour does not cover - the meals provided in the superior package did NOT rock our boat - we found many of the meals tasteless - add salt :) - beware of pick pocketers - never ever let a stranger take a picture for you and your family - instead settle for a selfie or have the tour guide with your group take the picture - never ever set your belongings down - ALWAYS keep your belongings in front of you - this is especially true in very touristy crowded areas - do not let "gypsies" read your palms - this is true across all of Europe not just Spain
- Charming Spain - 9 Days
Overall we were impressed by the guides, accommodation & busses. The most impressive guide was Y’ael at Alhombra. The least informative presentation was in Barcelona, where we were also not informed that we were being left to find our own way back to the accommodation if we weren’t on the premium package. It was impressive scheduling, given that people were often joining and leaving the tour at different destinations. It was disappointing that we were not offered the opportunity to be taken to the Tirana Festival in Seville by bus, given that it was impossible to get there by public transport.
