Georgia Tours for Solo Travelers
Solo travelers find Georgia especially welcoming, with tours designed to create natural social connections. Our most recommended route starts in Tbilisi and heads into the Caucasus Mountains - solo travelers consistently praise how the small groups become like family while hiking to remote churches and sharing meals in mountain villages. The Georgia and Caucasus tour gets great feedback from independent travelers who love cooking with local families and exploring markets with expert guides. Another popular choice takes you through the wine region of Kakheti, where solo travelers appreciate the intimate tastings with local producers and the chance to learn traditional bread-making alongside fellow travelers.

What people love about touring Georgia solo
- 7 Day Visit Georgia
Everything has gone in the best way: good hotels, comfortable car, good driver Mr. Robert for transfer from airport, excellent guides: Ms Giuli for Tbilisi and especially Mr Temor, for the rest of the tour, who was very capable in explaining us many things about the country, was always helpful and has given us excellent restaurant recommendations. The itinerary is well organized and is useful to give an idea of the country. There was no mishap or unexpected. Keep in mind that if you want you can ask to replace the hotels proposed in the program.
- 6 Day Explore Georgia Along the Great Silk Road
We had spent 9 amazing days in Georgia. All was arranged well especially we recommended to book with Georgian holidays. Lasha is the gem of Georgian holidays. Don't forget to ask Lasha as tour guide if you are booking through them. He is the best. We enjoyed all 9 days of tour.
- Introducing Georgia and Its People
We were a group of five Indians of mixed ages and we did a private tour with PAATA our guide. We did Kutaisi, Batumi, Kobuleti, Borjomi, the canyons and the waterfalls enroute. PAATA is a caring, considerate, humourous, patient and informative person and tour guide. Georgia is a beautiful country and he made it come alive for us. We will recommend him to family and friends who will be visiting the country later this year and in future. We will be back to see what we missed this time. What our customers ask about Georgia Tours for Solo Travelers
What is the best time of year for solo travelers to visit Georgia?
Plan your Georgia trip during May-June or September-October. The weather is pleasant and most group tours run during these months. You can trek popular routes like Mestia to Ushguli in Svaneti or explore Kakheti's vineyards in good conditions. Tbilisi gets very hot in summer while mountain areas become less accessible in winter. A TourRadar traveler shared: "September was perfect - comfortable temperatures for hiking harvest festivals in wine country and a good mix of other solo travelers in the group."
What type of accommodation can solo travelers expect on Georgia tours?
Expect a mix of 3-4 star hotels and local guesthouses during your stay. In Tbilisi you'll find centrally located options like Hotel Zeg or Bridge Hotel. The wine region of Kakheti offers properties such as Schuchmann Wines Chateau. A TourRadar traveler noted: "I was very pleased with the quality of the hotels particularly towards the beginning of the trip. The hotels were clean comfortable and in great locations for exploring."
What are the best regions in Georgia for solo travelers on guided tours?
Three key regions stand out: Tbilisi Kakheti and Kazbegi. Tbilisi connects travelers through food tours and cooking classes. Kakheti's wineries including Khareba and Tsinandali make it easy to meet others. In Kazbegi group hikes to Gergeti Trinity Church create natural connections. According to a TourRadar traveler: "Long fantastic lunches getting to know the group. Enjoying the beautiful scenery along the Military highway and the Caucasus mountains."
What is the typical cost of single supplements on Georgia tours?
Single supplements cost between USD 200-400 for 7-10 day tours. Many travelers skip this fee by sharing rooms with other solo guests. Hotels like Gino Wellness Rabath in Akhaltsikhe offer shared twin rooms. Some companies such as Exodus Travels help match solo travelers to share rooms letting you save money while keeping the option for privacy when needed.
How much cultural immersion can I expect as a solo traveler on Georgia tours?
The tours put you right in the middle of Georgian life. You'll join bread-making sessions in Kazbegi learn traditional qvevri wine-making in Kakheti and watch cheese-making in Svaneti.
