Cairo
Your guide will meet you at the Cairo airport. Head to the Pyramids of Giza first thing at 8 AM to beat the crowds and heat. A recent visitor shared: "The morning light at the pyramids was perfect for photos, and we avoided the worst of the afternoon sun and tourist buses." Your second day takes you to the Egyptian Museum and Khan el-Khalili bazaar. Visit the bazaar around 4 PM when it's cooler and more lively. Bring small bills for haggling and be ready to politely but firmly decline persistent vendors.

- Days 3-4
Aswan & Nile Cruise
- Days 5-6
Luxor
The cruise stops at Kom Ombo and Edfu temples before reaching Luxor. A recent visitor noted: "The Valley of the Kings is incredible but gets extremely hot - go at first opening (6 AM) and bring plenty of water. The tomb paintings are best preserved in Ramses VI's tomb." Consider taking a hot air balloon ride over the West Bank. The 4 AM wake-up is worth it for spectacular sunrise views.

- Day 7
Cairo to Amman
- Day 8
Petra
- Days 9-10
Jerash & Amman
10 Days in Jordan and Egypt, incl. Petra and Cairo
A 10-day Egyptian and Jordanian odyssey takes you to 10 key sites. The ancient temples of Petra, desert camping in Wadi Rum, historic Saint Catherine Monastery, and Cairo's magnificent pyramids await. Daily breakfast included, along with select lunches and dinners.

- Days 1-2
Amman & Northern Jordan
Start in Amman, Jordan's busy capital. Spend your first afternoon exploring Rainbow Street with its local restaurants and coffee shops. On day 2, take an early trip to Ajlun Fortress. Next, visit the Roman city of Jerash. Get there before 9 AM to avoid tour groups and hot weather. The ruins are extensive so pack good walking shoes and plenty of water.

- Days 3-4
Biblical Sites & Dead Sea
Start early to visit the Desert Castles east of Amman before the heat sets in. Visit Madaba to see the famous 6th-century mosaic map in St. George's Church. Check out Mount Nebo in late afternoon when visibility is best over the Jordan Valley. Spend day 4 at the Dead Sea. Go for a float early morning or late afternoon to stay out of peak sun. Skip shaving for 24 hours before your visit as the salt water can sting.

- Days 5-6
Petra & Wadi Rum
Give yourself a full day for Petra. Get to the Siq canyon right when it opens (6 AM summer, 7 AM winter) to see the Treasury without crowds. Bring hiking boots as the old stone steps can be slippery. Take a 4x4 tour of Wadi Rum in late afternoon when the red rocks look their best. Sleep in a Bedouin camp but pack warm clothes. Desert nights get cold.

- Days 7-8
Border Crossings & Sinai
- Days 9-10
Cairo Exploration
Visit the Pyramids right at opening (8 AM) to beat tour buses and heat. Visit the Egyptian Museum in the afternoon when it's less crowded. One visitor shared: "The Coptic quarter in late afternoon was peaceful and atmospheric - a perfect escape from Cairo's intensity." Use your final morning to relax before heading to the airport, which takes 45-60 minutes depending on traffic.

- Days 1-2
Amman & Northern Jordan
Start in Amman and use it as your base to explore northern Jordan. Visit the 12th-century Ajlun Fortress early on day 2 before it gets too hot. Head to Jerash's Roman ruins in the afternoon around 3 PM when the tour groups leave. The ruins cover a large area so wear good walking shoes and pack plenty of water.

- Days 3-4
Desert Castles & Dead Sea
Travel east to see the Desert Castles. Bring a flashlight to explore the frescoes at Qusayr Amra. Stop at Madaba to view the famous mosaic map before noon when the church lighting makes for better photos. Plan your Dead Sea visit for late afternoon to avoid intense sun. Remember water shoes since the salt crystals on the beach can be sharp.

- Days 5-6
Petra & Wadi Rum
Get to Petra when it opens at 6 AM to avoid crowds and heat. You'll walk about 30 minutes through the Siq to reach the Treasury. A guide is worth booking for the morning before exploring on your own. Summary: For the money, as first timers, this was really worth it to get a feel of both countries and their ways. Let me break this down in 3 parts: Tour Visits, Tour Guides and Countries For Tour Visits: It really covers most of the important places to see as landmarks / history of the country and i think every place was worth it. That being said prepare to pay around 500 Egyptian Pounds and about 300 Jordanian Dinars per place you visit (some will be less, almost none are more except the extra stuff like Light Shows). Any cancellations that happen due to weather or bad scheduling can be talked with your guide to have a replacement (we didn't really talk about refunds, so no clue about that). In Egypt you will encounter a bit of harrassment from sellers, depending on your guide and path, you may be able to avoid a little but just be prepared to say no or act as if they don't exist. If you like something, try haggling a lot (paying 70 or 50% of the price is easily doable on most places). In Jordan you can haggle for about 25% less and they won't harrass you as much. Only on one place we had small issues but overall you will have to pay a lot of visits to local traders, and you can decide to buy or not, nothing is mandatory and most of the shops have bathrooms and give you refreshments. For Tour Guides: on Giza we had Ilhab and he was incredible, we got to enjoy the Great Egyptian Museum first thing as soon as it opened and even got pictures with the giant Ramses II before all the crowds got into the entrance room. He clearly explained the most important rooms and let us decide what to do with our time. Same thing in the pyramids, where we also asked him to put us in touch with guys who handle camels for some amazing shots of the 3 pyramids. On the cruise we had Mohammed, he was ok... a little bit jumpy wants to stick to schedule but isn't sure what the schedule is most of the time. We had a couple of issues with him regarding times and places but everything was worked out. Would have preferred someone who would explain us a little better how the situations would be on the cruise and every outing. Finally on Jordan we had Hassan, an ex military who
- Unforgettable Jordan and Cairo
The tour guides and concierges were Excellent! However, the tour company, Europamundo often took too long to reply to questions in the lead up to my departure. I really don't think I should have been receiving pertinent information like the country portal entry requirements when I was literally in the cab on the way to the airport. Furthermore, it turned out that my party of 2, were the only ones on the particular tour (Unforgettable Jordan & Cairo), so I really don't understand why there was such delay. We submitted l required documents and payments on time. Let me once a reiterate that our tour guides in Jordan and Cairo were OUTSTANDING, patient, knowledgeable, punctual and very professional.
