14 Day Zimbabwe & Botswana Itinerary, incl. Victoria Falls and Okavango Delta
A grand 14-day route takes you through 11 destinations across Botswana, showcasing Chobe National Park's elephant sanctuary, Okavango Delta's waterways, and Makgadikgadi Salt Pans. Accommodations include Kwalape Lodge and Crocodile Camp across 375 miles of wilderness.

- Days 1-2
Chobe National Park
Start your journey in Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe before traveling 2 hours to Kasane, Botswana. Get an early start for border crossing to avoid delays. Chobe is home to Africa's biggest elephant population. Take morning game drives to see them at their most active and afternoon boat trips on the Chobe River for up-close views. Pack neutral colors and bring binoculars since spotting wildlife like leopards takes patience.

- Days 3-5
Okavango Delta
Take the long 600km drive to Maun, your gateway to the delta. Buy supplies in Maun before heading into the wilderness. Experience two nights of wild camping, reaching your site by traditional mokoro canoes. You'll sleep in canvas tents with the sounds of hippos in the distance. Quick-dry clothes are essential since mokoro rides can get splashy. One visitor shared: "The stargazing was incredible—you can see the entire Milky Way without light pollution."

- Days 6-7
Makgadikgadi Pans
- Days 8-9
Matobo National Park
- Days 10-11
Hwange National Park
- Days 12-14
Victoria Falls
Return to your starting point with time to explore the falls and try activities. Photograph the falls in the morning before mist gets heavy. A local guide recommends: "Take the walk to Devil's Pool between August and January when water levels are lower—the view over the edge is unforgettable." Consider adding white water rafting or a helicopter ride.

14 Days in Botswana Safari, incl. Okavango Delta and Victoria Falls
An immersive 14-day tour visits 8 major Botswana destinations from Maun. Traditional mokoro rides in Okavango Delta, game drives in Savuti Marsh, and boat cruises on Chobe River complement stays at Audi Camp, wild camping in Moremi, and visits to 6,180 sq mi Makgadikgadi Salt Pan.

- Days 1-4
Maun & Okavango Delta
Begin your journey in Maun, the starting point for Botswana wilderness adventures. Pack light for two nights in the Okavango Delta, exploring by mokoro (traditional canoe) with local guides. Wildlife viewing is best from July to October when water levels peak. Morning walks offer good chances to spot elephants and buffalo. Wear closed shoes and neutral colors to blend in with the environment. A recent visitor shared: "The silence of gliding through the Delta channels at sunset, with only bird calls and distant hippo grunts, was absolutely magical."

- Day 5
Makgadikgadi Salt Pans
- Days 6-7
Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe
Travel to Zimbabwe to see Victoria Falls. Budget $30-50 for visa costs. The falls are most impressive from February to May after rains, but expect heavy spray. Bring waterproof gear for your camera. Visit at 6 AM opening time to avoid crowds. Popular activities include white-water rafting ($140) or helicopter rides ($150). Book these ahead if visiting during peak season in July-August.

- Days 8-10
Chobe National Park & Savuti
Chobe River hosts Africa's largest elephant population. Take a sunset boat cruise to watch elephants drink and play by the water. Travel south to camp at Savuti Marsh. The road is rough so protect electronics from dust. November and December bring zebra migrations, attracting lions to the marsh area.

- Days 11-14
Moremi Game Reserve & Return
14 Day Botswana Wildlife Safari Itinerary, incl. Chobe and Okavango Delta
A grand 14-day adventure through Botswana's finest reserves includes 2 days in Chobe among 120,000 elephants, 2 days in Savuti's plains, 3 days in Moremi's waterways, and 2 nights in Okavango's channels. UNESCO-listed Tsodilo Hills precede the finale at Victoria Falls.

- Days 1-2
Victoria Falls to Chobe National Park
Plan to arrive at Victoria Falls in the afternoon to avoid morning traffic at the Kazungula border into Botswana. It's about an hour's drive. Your first game drive will be in Chobe, where you'll find an incredible population of 120,000 elephants. You'll stay in elevated safari tents with private bathrooms, looking out over the Chobe River. Remember to pack warm clothes for game drives. The open vehicles can get surprisingly cold in the morning.

- Days 3-4
Chobe and Savuti
Spend two full days on game drives in Chobe tracking elephant herds, buffalo and big cats. Take a river cruise in the late afternoon when animals gather at the water. You'll then head south to Savuti's open plains, where the formerly dry channel now draws lots of wildlife. Your accommodation will be in dome tents with real beds and hot bucket showers.

- Days 5-8
Moremi Game Reserve and Delta Region
You'll have four days to explore Moremi's diverse landscape. The Xakanaxa area is known for some of the best game viewing in Africa, including regular wild dog sightings. Game drives start at first light, so pack a headlamp. Your camp sits right in the delta, where hippos provide nature's nighttime sounds.

- Days 9-11
Okavango Delta Houseboat
Travel to Shakawe for two nights on an exclusive houseboat. While compact, it offers private cabin bathrooms and great views from the dining area. Visit the UNESCO World Heritage Tsodilo Hills to see 4,000 ancient rock paintings. Morning boat trips are perfect for bird watching, with over 400 species in the area.

- Days 12-14
Return to Victoria Falls
Prepare for a long travel day (11 hours) through Namibia's Caprivi Strip. Pack snacks and something to keep you busy. Your final days at Victoria Falls include a guided tour (go early to beat the crowds) and optional activities like rafting. As one visitor shared: "The falls are incredibly powerful - wear your rain jacket and protect your camera. The spray can soak you even from the viewing platforms."

What people love about 2-week Botswana tours
- Best of Botswana & Victoria Falls - 12 days
A very well organized tour, comfortable accomodation, good game drives. Our guide Richard was very attentive, took care of every detail of the tour and provided all information very exactly. As to the itinerary, it is rather well thought, though it would have been nice if there was additional stop at the southern part (pan) of Okavango delta and longer stay with more drives in Chobe National Park.
- Premium Southern Africa in Depth Safari – 11 Days / 10 Nights (SA, Kruger, Victoria Falls, Chobe River ,Okavango Delta)
My family had the best holiday in okavango delta and Victoria falls arranged by Hannah and her team. Surely coming back to Africa
