The tour leader Wojciech was great. The tour guides were very nice and informative. However, One thousand miles, which you recommended for Auschwits tour, was not good at all. The driver was good, but the schedule was changed to the later hour on the previous day.
Highlights of PolandI can’t believe that this is the first time Ania guided this tour. She organized the week so well that we all have enjoyed it very much, although we are at different levels in terms of hiking. I can tell how much effort she has spent with the tour each day. She cares about everyone at every detail of the tour. Due to constant weather changes in the mountains it is very difficult to follow the planned routes, but she would come up with alternative plans quickly and make it very interesting. She also told wonderful stories and shared cautionary experiences. We have attended many tours and this one is the top experience for us. Mont Ania is definitely a hard working and caring professional as a tour guide. Thank you Explore for having such a wonderful tour guide for us.
Hiking in the Polish CarpathiansTour organized well and as expected with itinerary according to plan. Tour Director Vince excellent who went above and beyond.

Best time to visit Poland
- Fall / Autumn 2026
Fall colors make our countryside and city combinations particularly appealing. The 7-day tours through southern Poland work really well in autumn, when you can combine visits to Auschwitz-Birkenau and the Salt Mines with walks through Krakow's parks as the leaves change. Our travelers consistently mention how much they enjoy having warm traditional Polish meals in local restaurants after full days of exploring. The autumn tours include some nice indoor alternatives if the weather turns - like visiting Schindler's Factory or taking in a Chopin concert in Warsaw. The guides know exactly how to balance outdoor walks with indoor cultural experiences as temperatures start to cool.

- Winter 2026 / 2027
Our winter tours in Poland center around Krakow, where the Christmas markets create a special atmosphere from late November through December. The 4-day city-based tours work well in winter, combining indoor sites like the Wieliczka Salt Mine (where the constant underground temperature is a plus) with cozy traditional Jewish restaurants featuring Klezmer music in the evenings. Many travelers opt for our New Year's special itinerary that includes a festive gala dinner in Krakow after days exploring the Old Town and Wawel Castle. The guides adapt the walking tours thoughtfully for winter conditions, and we've found our customers really appreciate having some flexibility to duck into cafes or museums when they need a warm-up break.

- Spring 2027
Spring sees our comprehensive Poland tours really come into their own - the weather is good for walking and the crowds haven't arrived yet. The 10-day circuits from Krakow up through Warsaw and also Gdansk let you experience Poland's revival after winter. Our travelers particularly enjoy the flower markets in Wroclaw's main square and walking through Warsaw's royal gardens as they come back to life. The spring tours include plenty of outdoor time in places like Zakopane in the Tatra Mountains, where local Goral culture comes alive with the warmer weather. Many customers tell us they love how the guides share personal stories about growing up in Krakow while walking through the Jewish Quarter and Old Town.

- Summer 2027
Summer brings out the best in our northern Poland routes, especially along the Baltic coast. The 8-day tours connecting Warsaw, Torun and Gdansk take advantage of the long daylight hours and pleasant temperatures. Our travelers really value having free time to join the locals enjoying outdoor cafes in medieval market squares and walking along Sopot's wooden pier in the evening light. The summer itineraries include special seasonal touches like organ concerts in Gdansk's Oliwa Cathedral and stops at St. Dominic's Fair if you're traveling in August. We've found families particularly enjoy the summer tours since there's a good mix of history at places like Malbork Castle and relaxed time in coastal towns.
