Nature & Wildlife Tours in Bolivia

The trip itself and the guides were great. The communication in advance of the trip could’ve been clearer as I wasn’t informed of the correct service provider and went to the wrong company when o arrived in uyuni and the only I reason I saw the taxi provider and tour providers names was because of the tiny link on the page when I clicked the link on the email, this could be clearer in a separate email.

My flight tickets had been sent to me well ahead of time. My driver met me at the hotel and took me to the airport, a driver was waiting for me in Uyuni, and the tour was waiting for me to get started. The tour covered everything in the itinerary and we had perfect conditions for the Salt Flats. We stayed in hostels and the one was as bare minimum as you could get. No electricity, no running water, no wifi but they did have a lovely hot spring to soak in. Nothing wrong with going off the grid although the workers at that hostel were horrible and angry and very negative towards us (it was very odd).

We covered a lot of territory and the guide was informative, explaining what we were seeing and how it formed. He was very personable and accommodating. The altiplano hostels, that were in areas that reached -5 to -7C, had no heat or hot water and travelers should be advised to bring their own towels and some toilet paper along with their personal supplies. Overall however, I thought is was well worth what I paid for it and it was definitely a worthwhile experience. The tour company took very good care of me, meeting me and taking me to each destination. I especially appreciated the hotel room in Uyuni that was provided before and after the tour. It was very comfortable, and after the tour a shower was sorely needed!
