Great experience with a great tour guide. No complaints.

My tour with Trutravels was such a good experience! It was my first experience of travelling on my own, that’s why I was kind of nervous at first. But, I felt very welcome, even from the first night! …My tour with Trutravels was such a good experience! It was my first experience of travelling on my own, that’s why I was kind of nervous at first. But, I felt very welcome, even from the first night! For the next tour, I would exchange a night in Bangkok for another night in Bottle Beach or Koh Tao - they were my favourite places we’ve been to. Furthermore, I wouldn’t spend a night in Phuket again, because we arrived quite late in the evening and the tour finished the other morning/day. I would prefer to stay a few more nights at the other islands to make things more chilled.

I absolutely loved the tour and Oneway. There was a perfect mix between chill and party, with no pressure to do anything. I was disappointed the the first boat trip was cancelled, especially since it was not out fault we were a small group! However, Oneway went out of his way to ensure we were all happy about the alternative and even made sure we still got the free bucket!!!! I would say that one night in Bangkok would be plenty and to do the Temples in the morning and the night train that evening. This would allow another night at Bottle Beach/ or Khoa Son which was fantastic. Another thing I would change was always having one person in a room alone, due to there being 3 girls. Obviously that’s no ones fault but maybe there’s an option to have 3 in a room so it’s less lonely? Overall, I had a great 2 weeks and I will definitely be doing another tour soon!! Thanks Oneway!

Great! Ideally it would be good if there were fewer night trains (3 in total for total Thailand) but I understand that this helps to keep costs low. Kao Sok was amazing, although I think that an extra…Great! Kao Sok was amazing, although I think that an extra night is needed! (We only got half a day, or less due to delayed train). Again, Bottle Beach was amazing and I think an extra night there would have been even better. Personally, the Mad Monkey hostel was not great but, I understand that it is good to allow for everyone else to have fun. Koh Tao was my favourite and Oneway made it the best it could be! He made us buckets for the boat when it wasn’t necessary and made sure we had as much fun as possible. Very organised and took me to the doctors quickly when I needed stitches. Phi Phi was also great and Phuket too. Overall, Oneway; as well as being a great guide, he added a lot to the trip and was a great companion. He took a lot of stress from some of the group when Trutravels changed the itinerary but he stayed calm and made up for the changes.

Oneway was so accommodating the entire trip and made the experience even more special. I feel that I saw places I would have not found on my own and that it was a great mix of partying and relaxation. All travel days ran very smoothly and Trutravels really took the stress out of getting from place to place. Our group was a family by the end of the trip. It was the most sad I had ever been to leave a place, already can’t wait to do another Trutravels tour.

A lot of free time, maybe too much! Our two leaders were both great and very organised with hotels and transport, both were a good laugh too and always positive. I was very excited for the elephants sanctuary however, parts of it upset me - elephants are meant to bathe by themselves and also they are not supposed to bow or give kisses - this upset me a lot so I think perhaps more knowledge is needed to give money to a better and completely humane sanctuary. There were a lot of activities - which was great! Catering for both sporty and cultural-interested people. However, there was a lot of travelling to and forth places. Overall I have thoroughly enjoyed my 14 days in the North - particularly Chiang Mai. And I look forward to our Southern tour.

Everything was amazing, we managed to do so much in a short amount of time so it was definitely value for money. Our tour guide was amazing and I can’t imagine having anyone else as our guide

Given the short amount of time, I can say that we have experienced so much. The variety of activities were great, some things that I most likely would not have organised if I was sorting it out myself…Given the short amount of time, I can say that we have experienced so much. Oneway, our tour guide, was amazing. I can't imagine doing this without him. Everyone else on the tour were so nice and I have enjoyed every moment.

The group leader (Oneway)was always helpful and polite.he made everything fell welcomed and he gave myself an introduction to Thailand the culture.
Oneway was great company and very positive and spoke the truth throughout.accommadation wise I’v Spoppep in some nice place and got a taste of Thailand the journey were long sometimes but that was expected.

Bottle beach was stunning could’ easily stayed longer and the view from the view point was stunning.
The over night train was very cool as well.the ferry to koh phangun could’ been better but I think that was the ferry company’s fault.
I loved the Muay Thai lesson want to take up boxing now.
Mad monkey was very clean and cool and fun-good to have private room all trip too.
Oneway was very informative and entertaining but sometimes explain too long/too many times not a bad thing really.
Overall a great trip with great experiences and lovely people.

Bottle beach was my favorite part,it was like paradise.also loved the boat trip in koh phangun,we went snorkeling and I loved it so much,I have never done that before.
The sunset on the boat was magical.

All of this happened. I am really thankfull to TruTravels that everything happened like I wanted it. I was "***shit*** happens" that Chiang Mai wasn't able to pass. But you guys make everything happened what we expected from the tour. You tried your best to make everyboday happy --> 1000 stars for it. The most and amazing experience was the elefant sanctuary and the zip lining. Thanks for showing me Thailand. I will defently come back and travel through it. It is so different to Germany what I really like. Thanks for showing us the world. I'm so thankful that I had the opportunity to meet such nice and lovely people. I will never forget this time <3

Also the activities I probably wouldn't have found/done by myself (eg- jungle trek& homestay). Oneway was a very good tour guide and made sure we were all involved in the activities and as a group. He made sure we knew what was happening each day so we could prepare ourselves. I would definitely book with TruTravels again in the future!

I remember landing into Bangkok airport and looking round to find my name on a sign and Oneway is standing there with the biggest smile, I instantly felt welcomed, felt comfortable and safe. He chatted to me the whole journey to the hotel and sorted me out my room straight away. I was very excited about this trip as the itinerary looked amazing, it had the most perfect combination of activities. Even though I loved every day, the highlights for me was the jungle trek and hill tribe homestay and the elephant sanctuary! I experienced so much more than I would have I wasn't on a tour, I met the best people, who I feel will be friends for life and had the biggest smile everyday, I laughed I sang I danced, I lived my very best life these last 2 weeks, I adore Oneway he is the best! I leave with a heavy heart.

My personal highlight of the tour was the jungle trek, although it was a lot of hard work it was also a lot of fun visiting and swimming in all the waterfalls, and chilling with the farm animals. We all became a close group of 6 as the tour went on, so it's sad it's all over. Thank you TruTravels, thank you Oneway for an unforgettable experience, it really eased me in to the backpacking life!

Some highlights of the trip include waking up in the middle of a lake in a floating bungalow, relaxing on bottle beach, snorkeling in Koh Tao and visiting the temples in Bangkok. Not only can you travel like a local, the bars and restaurants, the tour guides took us to showed s all the culture of the people. Our tour guides Oneway, Arthur and Pompom were the lfie of all the parties, so helpful and our own personal photographers. Met some amazing people and made some amazing memories. SO much ticked off my bucket list!

During the 8 day tour we did so many fabulous things and one highlight was following the other. Our next part, the 10 days tour was more forrelaxing and laying on the beach. I also liked that everyone of our tour guides had his own style and managed to be tour guide and member of our group all in one person. Our group was so nice and time by time we got to know each other better and better. All in all I can recommend the 8 day tour for those who love activities and new experiences and the last 10 days for more free time in a group surrounding Thank you TruTravels and Oneway, Arthur and Pompom for this incredible holiday in Thailand!

The locations we visited such as bottle beach and Koh Phi Phi were amazing I wont be forgetting them anytime soon. The organised activities were so well structured that for me tey have a first effort. I would like to thank Arthur for his crazy attitude, One-way for his ability to always be reliable for a night out, and Pom for always making sure everyone was well looked after. I've made lifelong friends and memories on this tour so I will be booking another trip once I am home. Thanks for everything!!

My favorite memory of this trip was our hike to the viewpoint at Bottle beach. Oneway was very supportive and we took our time. Loved the dog jungle who was memorable as well :)

The beaches in Southern Thailand and the islands were absolutely breathtaking. I loved staying off the grid at Khao Sok for the night, it was an amazing experience. The beaches are beatiful here. Absolutely loved this tour! Alanna and Oneway were so helpful, welcoming, & friendly! I would definitely recommend this experience again and I wouldn't change my group leaders for anyone else. I thought the tour was amazing. My favourite parts of the trip was firstly Khao Sok as I think this is definitely a destination that I would of never seen without going on the tour, it was a one time opportunity with beautiful scenery! And secondly Khao phangan overall, bottle beach was secluded and was very chilled and echo hostel was so much fun and a great atmosphere!
My only really feedback would be for the tour guides to ask for people's budgets ( everyone's on a different one) so places to eat and drink can be chosen that meet the needs of everyone. But everything else is spot on!

To sum up this trip was really great as I felt stress free all the time and that I didn't have to worry about anything because I knew my tour guides would have everything sorted.

Although it involved a gruelling 12 hour journey on a night train, once I saw the views I realised the journey was beyond worth it. It was a once in a lifetime experience full of so many amazing memories and I will never forget it. The tour has been an all round amazing experience and I've loved seeing how tours give others the confidence to go and travel and see the world. It has been such an amazing experience and it has made me want to consider being a tour guide myself, as I've seen first hand what an enjoyable, all round rewarding job it can be.

Accommodation could have been better in certain places considering all the money we paid for the tour. It also wasn’t advertised as a party every night kind of tour which it was. As a non drinker it wasn’t for me, although it wasn’t too much of a problem because I was always able to go back when I wanted. However it should be advertised. We didn’t get told an itinerary at the start of the trip so we never really knew what we were doing, became annoying at times. Think an itinerary would help. A few negative points but in all, I really enjoyed this tour. Will book onto another when I can.

The tour itself was brilliant, although slightly more party based than expected. Every place we went was vibrant and beautiful, made even better by the various activities planned for us along the way.
While accommodation was not your usual 4 or 5 star hotel resorts, I think this added to the overall backpacking experience, and let's be honest no one wants to spend time cooped up in the room when you are in such stunning settings.
Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed the 18 day tour which was filled with amazing places, good food, awesome activities and brilliant people. Would happily come back and do it all over again!

My tour guides Delaney, Phatsada and Alanna made my trip informative, entertaining and authentic. We were able to ask them any questions and they would always know the answer, whether it was a cultural question or simply ‘where are we going next?’ It felt so much like we were being shown a country they were proud of and called home by long term friends.
Additionally, me and my friend hadn’t booked any mode of transportation to get from Koh Pha-ngan to Bangkok. The team were so helpful in getting us back up there in time and ensuring we had some accommodation for when we got there. Their attentiveness was very much appreciated!

I am little older than most of the group and have done my fair share of partying so holding your composure and being responsible whilst being fun and positive are some excellent qualities to have in a guide. One way was excellent to he was able to show me more of the cultural side of Thailand and obviously able to communicate with locals when needed. Well done team!

Tina has a gift of making everyone feel like family, and making the best of every situation whether there's a tropical wave coming through, or a couple of people in the group went through a rough patch - she always knew what to do to calm everyone's nerves. I can't wait to go back on tour with TruTravels, definitely going to request Tina as my guide. She's the best!

I was a bit hesitant traveling for the first time as a solo, young female but TruTravels helped take care of everything and made me feel completely at peace in a foreign country. They created an awesome experience and really highlighted the best parts of Thai life. All of my TruTravellers fam can definitely say that our trip was a life-changing experience, and we absolutely loved our tour guides Oneway and Mark! Northern Thailand and beaches tour.
I did this tour with my boyfriend as we felt this would be a good way to see the whole of Thailand, and we were right!

I did this tour with my boyfriend as we felt this would be a good way to see the whole of Thailand, and we were right!
Although this is sold as one tour the trip is split into two parts, the first part experiencing the exciting culture and visiting beautiful places in the north of Thailand. Personal highlights for us were the elephant sanctuary, zip lining, visiting the backpacking town of Pai, beautiful temples and fantastic viewpoints. Transportation was always comfortable, with aircon where possible, making us feel like no expense had been spared for our comfort. Our group during this part of the tour were like-minded people, interested in experiencing thai culture, making the tour very enjoyable. Our guides were Euan and Mickey, they were fantastic! They always kept us informed on what we were doing each day, where we were going, what times, and what we would need to bring with us. Both guides were passionate about giving us the best experience in northern Thailand and that truly showed. They were both very friendly, easy to talk to guys who answered any questions happily and made each member of the group, of every nationality feel welcome and included always. We'd like to thank both guides, and we would highly recommend the northern tour to anyone looking to learn and explore thai culture!
For the second part of our tour, we travelled to the south of Thailand to visit the beaches and relax in the sunshine. Meeting our new guides, Oneway and Mark, they were both very friendly and excited to take the new group to the south for the next part (or start of most people's) trip. Transport was not as comfortable as on the northern tour, namely the overnight train. We felt a little put out to have previously travelled twice in a comfortable carridge with aircon, to then have to spend the night in a carridge without. There were fans in this carridge but if you wanted to close the curtain for privacy or to block out the light to sleep, they were rendered useless. This did feel like a more authentic way to travel but felt very dissonant from the first part of our tour. As the train was very loud and uncomfortable, we didn't feel very well rested when we arrived at Khao Sok national park. However, this was still a spectacular place and by far the highlight of the beaches tour. Mark and Oneway explained how the park was formed and we enjoyed swimming in the reservoir. The beaches in the south were lovely, the boat trip was fantastic and the acomodation wasn't bad. The feel of the islands and the south in general was different to the north in that it felt less traditional and more for tourists. This isn't necessarily a bad thing, but there is much more of a partying emphasis on this part of the tour which isn't for everyone.
Overall we very much enjoyed our northern Thailand and beaches tour with trutravels, we're glad that we got to experience the whole of the country, the cultural north and the sunny south, the whole trip was a good price with decent accommodation and some meals included. I'm a vegetarian and this was never a problem on any point of the tour, all of our guides were very acomodating of that. The included excursions are also great and we felt that without the tour we wouldn't have been able to visit so many different places in 21 days. Thanks trutravels!
