My tour guides Delaney, Phatsada and Alanna made my trip informative, entertaining and authentic. We were able to ask them any questions and they would always know the answer, whether it was a cultural question or simply ‘where are we going next?’ It felt so much like we were being shown a country they were proud of and called home by long term friends.
Additionally, me and my friend hadn’t booked any mode of transportation to get from Koh Pha-ngan to Bangkok. The team were so helpful in getting us back up there in time and ensuring we had some accommodation for when we got there. Their attentiveness was very much appreciated!

With there only being 4 tourists, We were able to establish a real bond with our tour guides and have a more personal experience because of it. I am especially thankful for helping me and my accomplis at the end of our tour with transport back up to Bangkok from Koh Pha-ngan. They were unbelievably helpful making arrangements and calling hotels and hostels trying to find an available room due to many preferred transport options being unavailable. I really enjoyed my trip, it was my first time outside of Europe and being in a tour made it super easy. Alanna was really good at organising everything, making everything stress free.

As for the tour, I thought that the itinerary could've been much better. I think that starting with Angkor Wat and then going to Phnom Penh is a much better way of doing things, because you do the cultural stuff first and can then party and relax for the second week. Also you spend 2 nights in Sihnoukville which isn't a great place, and that day could be better spent somewhere else, such as Kampot or Phnom Penh.
I think more activities need to be included on traveling days. Every time we traveled from one city to the next, upon arrival we would just chill until dinner time. If we wanted to do something it was up to us to do it, which defeats the point of being on a tour.
Lastly our tour guide came on to our tour straight from her previous tour, which isn't good, so Trutravels sort it out, give your staff at least 4 or 5 days to recharge between tours.
Having said all that I had a great time, met some cool people and saw some cool shit. So make of that what you will.

She is always in for a good time ! Later on in the tour the group expanded to 14 persons. it was an EPIC trip thanks to all of you !.

I was also very lucky to share the experience with a fantastic group of people and an awesome tour guide. She was lots of fun, organised and approachable. During the tour through no fault of her own she found herself in a few difficult situations. She dealt with these situations admirably; ensuring that the group was minimally affected and that everyone was having a good time. She is an asset to the company! I would highly recommend the trip, I wish that I could go back and do it all again!

Just completed the 10 day tour of Cambodia. Our tour guides Allana and Ali were superb. Both were very attentive and remained positive throughout. Whilst I am a bit of an old boy (47) in comparison …Just completed the 10 day tour of Cambodia. Our tour guides Allana and Ali were superb. Both were very attentive and remained positive throughout. Whilst I am a bit of an old boy (47) in comparison to the rest of the crowd, I was made to feel welcome by all concerned. My only criticism was that I felt the holiday was more about the drinking, rather than seeing Cambodia. Lets be fair, I could have stayed at home to get smashed and saved myself a couple of grand!! With this in mind, Tru Travels need to remember that people will adjust their drinking if they know they have an early start and I felt that more could have been achieved from the tour, if the days started at 9, rather than 11. Also, a deal should be arranged with the Hostels where water bottle are refilled for free (obviously, built in with the price) as this would reduce the amount of plastic water bottles purchased in a country already strewn and littered with plastic. In addition to this, a tour should be about understanding the cultures and lunch stops should be made at local restaurants / villages where the real Cambodian population can be met and our spending make a real difference, not at the commercial places or within cities. I am aware that the tour is being re-looked at and I really hope that a little more culture is included within the new trip.

I say 'guides' as yes they 100% took care of every little detail and were so informative but most importantly they were like travel buddies met along the way, such fun chilled people! Couldn't have asked for better people to lead the trip. All the accomo was good - echos being my favourite 10:10! & every activity did not disappoint. Was sad the trip had to come to an end, but will definitely be traveling with TruTravels again!

The trip was well organized with plenty of scheduled activities as well as down time to relax and explore on your own. I used it to kick start my 4 months of travel and I have honestly made some lifelong friends! All the places we stayed were clean and we always had he best time whether you wanted to have a crazy night out or a chilled time by the pool! But this tour wouldn't of been half as good if it wasn't for our guides! Mickey, Patrick, Alanna, Lawrie, Aaron! (Oh and gam she wasn't a guide but she's an absolute credit to the company!) our guides were the most fun and caring group of people who made this tour so amazing! They were all so much fun and would help with any problem you had! I had a scary encounter at 3 in the morning on the night train and Aaron was straight up helping me! Even once I left the tour I've message them and they've helped me so much with onward travel and where to stay and even just people I can vent to when I'm stressed! The company and my tour were incredible and so well set up but my guides made my tour the most amazing it could of been they are all credits to the company who I can not praise highly enough! My tour guides Mickey, Lawrie, Alanna and Patrick were great. They each added something to the tour and were very supportive with advice and enquiries and when I felt afraid to do the zipining.
I 100% recommend this tour to anyone who is adventurous, wants to learn about the culture of Thailand and wants to challenge themselves.

She has this really easy-going attitude that makes you feel you can speak out everything you're thinking with her as if she was an old friend, in fact I felt like she was very juvenile and friendly but at the same time mature and responsible in her work. So she was not only a guide to me, in this period of time, but also an inspiration, cause looking at her, I realized that, despite she's a young woman, she's very well organized, clear in explanation, very practical, careful and quick in sorting out/solving problems, but still, while being all these things altogether, she emanates this kind of nonchalance while doing all these things as she was doing the most natural, easy thing in the world. That makes you feel safe and that she has all under control so you conseguentialy feel safe for being led by a trustful and responsabile guide. So even if the condition you are in, at the moment, could be a little bit uncomfortable, it's sure that Alanna would make you forget about your stress and think that the situation is fun instead! Sometimes I could realize that she was a little bit stressed out, and that's normal and obvious cause we were one of her first tour, but I really got impressed by her attitude in facing her difficulties with a lot of initiative,resolution and rationality. I had a lot to learn from her about this! Cause I'm searching to learn the same in this sense.
She's also authentic and spontaneous and she manages to explain her ideas in a way that makes you respect her more even if you may not agree with her. And that's amazing.. I really like a lot people who have this trait! They are the most genuine ones.
So, in order to conclude, I'll definitely suggest her as a guide to anyone would ask me!

Itchy and Alanna are excellent at keeping things flowing nicely and are great company throughout. Maya was fantasic at teaching us about Thai culture and the sights we saw in Bangkok, and was great fun to be around. The trip itself could have filled the "free time" a little better, and perhaps would benefit from introducing some elements that were unique to Trutravels, rather than just the standard tourist options, but all in all I had a wonderful time, with fantastic people, and when things started to go wrong Itchy and Art soon got this sorted and took care of the people who were poorly. Our tour guides Amanda, Alanna and Minnie were brilliant for the whole tour. Amanda was attentive, fun loving and enthusiastic for the full 18 days. She would answer any questions that we had and her superb organisational skills ensured that the whole tour ran smoothly. Her passion for travelling was clear throughout the whole trip and it is obvious that she absolutely loves Thailand. She was caring and a genuinely lovely person. Like Amanda, Alanna was also fun loving and enthusiastic. She was always there to ensure that you had the best time whilst on tour and I honestly believe that her future tour groups will be very lucky to have her as their tour guide. We were very lucky to also have Minnie join us for the final 10 days and her energy was infectious. She really made sure that everyone enjoyed themselves regardless of the activity! She also helped out when we needed advice and educated everyone on Thai culture.
I can honestly say that on this tour I experienced some wonderful things, met some incredible people and made memories that will last a lifetime. I firmly believe that the tour was as good as it was due to Amanda, Alanna and Minnie. Thank you to you all for a wonderful tour, I want to do it all over again!

Minnie was absolutely brilliant such an amazing personality and character. The last two nights in illuzion with Amanda were incredible we had a proper laugh and she truly danced till sunrise with me. The trip itself has been amazing and we truly saw the best of Thailand and the most amazing view points. It was so well organised and took all the stress of organising out of it. As everything was arranged for you. I've been to Thailand many times and I truly believe it was very good value for money. I have been many places around the world. I've traveled alone for many of these trips. And I'd repeat any of these experiences. The tour was so well planned. There was time to really enjoy each place we were; but we also moved at a fast enough pace that I really got to see quite a bit for only being there for 8 days.
Our tour was led by Alanna and Amanda. They took such good care of us! They were each so helpful to me, even as I left the group to make my way back home - and more than that, became my friends. I couldn't have asked for a better combination of fun, enthusiasm, and professionalism.
Thailand itself is an amazing place that I now hope everyone can visit.

On the our you do so many amazing activities that you probably wouldn't do if you were traveling alone or just with a friend. My guides were lovely and really wanted everyone to have a great time. They make you feel very supported and comfortable and I felt like I could go to Alanna if I had any issues. Not that I did because the whole tour was amazing!
This tour is a really good way to start a trip if you're traveling solo like me. It allowed me to get to grips with Thailand culture before setting off to do the north on my own.
I would definitely recommend Tru Travels as the people are incredible, so much is fitted into a small amount of time, and you always feel supported, even if you are doing something which would normally be out of your comfort zone.

Both Amanda and Alanna have gone above and beyond on this tour to make everyone have the best time and bring them right out of their shells!! I can't thank Amanda and Alanna enough for being as accommodating as you have been, when I had one problem (no fault of theirs) they listened and discussed the best options and within a matter of moments my problem had been resolved, something neither had to do!! I truly believe Amanda and Alanna are now my friends as that's how they made me feel throughout the 18 days but also the way they've expressed not to hesitate contact if I need help on my future travels!! Amanda and Alanna I can not thankyou enough for being amazingly unapologetically you (wouldn't want you any other way, you beautiful souls) you've given me memories that I'll cherish for the rest of my life, all my love xx

Due to complications getting through immigration at the airport Tom and I missed our lift to the hotel, we contacted Amanda and both Alanna and Amanda came to pick us up straight away. They were both so friendly and approachable and we instantly felt like we could relax and everything was taken care of. During the car journey to the hotel Alanna informed us that she was new to Tru Travels which we would have never guessed. She knew what she was doing, we would have never known she was new to the company. Alanna was professional and confident and we felt like we were in safe hands. Alanna left the tour after 8 days and we gained Minnie later on into the tour. Alanna, Amanda and Minnie were always up for fun, full of life and so approachable. All three tour guides were very professional, helpful and friendly. Amanda made an extra effort to get to know us all individually which was appreciated as it added more of a personal touch.
Thank you Alanna, Amanda and Minnie for being amazing and making our time in Thailand the best it could have been. In Tom's words "Minnie is class"

Lawrie, Alanna and One Way were amazing tour guides. They weren't just there to be a tour guide and take you from A to B, they were there to encourage you to do many activities and have a good time. If there was ever a problem that occurred, I knew that I could go to the tour guides for help and that they'd be able to help me out.
The accommodation and transport exceeded my expectations and were a lot nicer than I thought they would be!
Overall, this trip was just incredible. I met so many friends and everyone in the group was lovely, I miss everyone already! There were so many chances to do extra activities such as diving. I took on this opportunity and did my open water diving certification with Mojo Divers in Koh Tao! It was such a fun and exciting 3 days.
I cannot wait to start planning my next trip with Tru Travels!

I joint this tour completely solo so I was a little bit nervous about meeting everyone and right from day one Alanna and Amanda made me feel extremely welcome. Thanks too this tour I have experience parts of Thailand I would of never experienced on my own. Alanna is such an amazing person with a wicked personality. Alanna has not only been my tour guide but she has become a very good friend too me. This girl has truly been my rock. She has been there for me at the moments I need advice or when I felt travel sick on the night train. Alanna choose to spend her own time talking to me and really distracting me from feeling unwell. Alanna truly has a heart off gold. Amanda and Alanna have been the best dance partner and these girls have some moves. Alanna and Amanda have been my personal photographers which I am extremely grateful for as they have captured some amazing pictures. Alanna has been with me on the tour for only the first 8 days and on her time off she came to Koh Tao with us. I was extremely excited and happy about this. Amanda has really help me find a way to still train my Muay Thai whilst on tour and to me that made these trip even better. Alanna, one of my tour guides, was someone whom i conected with instantly and now consider her one of my good friends! For only training and for it only being her first trip, she did an outstanding job! She is not just there to tell you where is good and what to do, if you every need advice or help, she doesnt give a second thought to do so. She is very kind, positive, amazing at what she does and genuinly an amazing person and i thank tru travels for us crossing paths! Lawrie and alanna were amazing and i will definately be doing another trip with tru travels!! ❤️

Had the best time on the 8 day thailand experience, met some incredible people and our tour guides Alanna and Lawrie were awesome! We visited such beautiful places and everything was so well organised we didn't have to worry about a thing. I even stayed on for a few days longer because I loved it so much and couldn't bear parting with the group. The only tiny thing I'd criticise was that sometimes we wouldn't get a choice where we ate even though we were paying for it, for example the BBQ at Echo beach where you paid a set price for the whole thing which wasn't ideal for veggies as a lot of the dishes were meat. Overall though I had an amazing time and would definitely recommend it!!
