His knowledge of traveling really inspires others to take the leap and do it themselves this is an amazing skill to have. He is very approachable and will help you in anyway he can but at the same time sets expectations, his honesty is very much respected and he is an inspirational individual. He inspired me to take the leap and apply to be a guide leader for trutravels and I have no doubt he will continue to inspire through his future plans xx

Mickey the crazy Thai guides fabulous personality made everyone laugh constantly with his random outbursts and dance moves.
Both were more than willing to offer help and guidance where possible and made every effort to cater to everyone's needs.
Truly had the best experience of my life and thanks to some chats with Lawrie about his travelling experiences, not only will I be returning to Thailand I will be travelling on to Australia before the end of the year aswell!

Considering it was my first time travelling in South East Asia, I didn’t really know what to expect but both Lawrie and Mickey were so knowledgable and informative that I had nothing to worry about as everything was taken care of by them. Not only were they professional, but we were able to have a laugh with our tour guides which meant the trip was basically just a nonstop party. I would 100% recommend this tour to anyone who wants a flavour of what Thailand has to offer but at the same time wants to kick back and have a good time with a great bunch of likeminded people. Lawrie also helped me out with my onward travel home which made the whole process so much easier. Wish I didn’t have to go home!

This was my first tour and I can't recommend TruTravels enough. Having all transport and accommodation arranged for you makes things so much easier, plus you get to meet lots of new friends.
Lawrie and P'Art were awesome, really helpful keeping us updated with plans each day and happy to answer any questions. My only disappointment was not being able to extend my trip to 18 days as I had to go back to work!
Big thanks to you and Jeff for making it such an amazing experience!

The tour guides were absolute class and made the entire tour a much more enjoyable experience.
Everything was well organised by the TruTravels team, including all transportation between islands and all accommodation, which made the trip completely stress free.
Even on our "chill days" the tour guides would organise fun activities for our group, and arrange any transportation to visit cool beaches, viewpoints, and bars.
I travelled solo and honestly, I found it so easy to meet people and make new friends who share the same passion of travelling. If I was to speak to anyone who is in two minds about doing this tour, I would strongly advise that they just go for it.
You are guaranteed to have the time of your life and have awesome memories with awesome people.

From the moment we were picked up at the airport to our final goodbye, Lawrie and Kuntapol made our trip memorable and enjoyable. They made a bad start into a fun new adventure.

Aswell as his amazing professionalism, he was also a friend and throughout the tour he was supportive when I was ill and was always up for a laugh. Even after the tour Lawrie went the extra mile and advised us on places to go and see- which were amazing. Worth every penny spent! We started in Bangkok and spent the two most insane weeks with the best group of people and the most amazing guides! Then went down south for 8 days again they were incredible especially the floating bungalows in the national park! I can not recommend this tour enough! I used it to kick start my 4 months of travel and I have honestly made some lifelong friends! All the places we stayed were clean and we always had he best time whether you wanted to have a crazy night out or a chilled time by the pool! But this tour wouldn't of been half as good if it wasn't for our guides! Mickey, Patrick, Alanna, Lawrie, Aaron! (Oh and gam she wasn't a guide but she's an absolute credit to the company!) our guides were the most fun and caring group of people who made this tour so amazing! They were all so much fun and would help with any problem you had! I had a scary encounter at 3 in the morning on the night train and Aaron was straight up helping me! Even once I left the tour I've message them and they've helped me so much with onward travel and where to stay and even just people I can vent to when I'm stressed! The company and my tour were incredible and so well set up but my guides made my tour the most amazing it could of been they are all credits to the company who I can not praise highly enough! All instructions very clear. The tour itself was a blast. Bangkok to Khao Sok to Koh Phangan. There were no issues with anything. Everything was arranged perfectly! Our tour guides were the best. Fun and friendly but also very professional. Couldn't give them enough praise to be honest. It was sad to say bye to Lawrie, Benmore and Ron plus all the rest we met from the Tru Travels team. 10/10 would recommend to anyone!

My tour guides Mickey, Lawrie, Alanna and Patrick were great. They each added something to the tour and were very supportive with advice and enquiries and when I felt afraid to do the zipining.
I 100% recommend this tour to anyone who is adventurous, wants to learn about the culture of Thailand and wants to challenge themselves.

On the our you do so many amazing activities that you probably wouldn't do if you were traveling alone or just with a friend. My guides were lovely and really wanted everyone to have a great time. They make you feel very supported and comfortable and I felt like I could go to Alanna if I had any issues. Not that I did because the whole tour was amazing!
This tour is a really good way to start a trip if you're traveling solo like me. It allowed me to get to grips with Thailand culture before setting off to do the north on my own.
I would definitely recommend Tru Travels as the people are incredible, so much is fitted into a small amount of time, and you always feel supported, even if you are doing something which would normally be out of your comfort zone.

Lawrie, Alanna and One Way were amazing tour guides. They weren't just there to be a tour guide and take you from A to B, they were there to encourage you to do many activities and have a good time. If there was ever a problem that occurred, I knew that I could go to the tour guides for help and that they'd be able to help me out.
The accommodation and transport exceeded my expectations and were a lot nicer than I thought they would be!
Overall, this trip was just incredible. I met so many friends and everyone in the group was lovely, I miss everyone already! There were so many chances to do extra activities such as diving. I took on this opportunity and did my open water diving certification with Mojo Divers in Koh Tao! It was such a fun and exciting 3 days.
I cannot wait to start planning my next trip with Tru Travels!

We visited such beautiful places and everything was so well organised we didn't have to worry about a thing. I even stayed on for a few days longer because I loved it so much and couldn't bear parting with the group. The only tiny thing I'd criticise was that sometimes we wouldn't get a choice where we ate even though we were paying for it, for example the BBQ at Echo beach where you paid a set price for the whole thing which wasn't ideal for veggies as a lot of the dishes were meat. Overall though I had an amazing time and would definitely recommend it!!

Our tour guides Lawrie and Alanna were amazing in encouraging everyone to mingle and get to know each other, which really benefited my experience as a solo traveller. They made sure we all had an amazing time by sharing their knowledge of the different location with recommendations of places to see in each location. I will 100% be returning on another TruTravels tour very soon!

All guides were confident and extremely competent. Their knowledge of the areas/country was brilliant and any questions which arose were answered very well. Lawrie was an excellent leader with a clear ability to organise both the logistical and pastoral side of big groups. The transportation arrangements around the country/islands was very efficient. There was minimal 'hanging around' or waiting for boats or buses. The accommodation was exactly as expected. All rooms/hotels were air conditioned and had adequate facilities. The floating bungalows in Khao Sok and the beach huts at Bottle Beach stood out for me as my favourite places. Not just the location but the accommodation too. Awesome scenery at both! The group got on so well, there was a real positive ethos around the place which was created by the activities we did but also created through the humility and enthusiasm of the guides which filtered down into the group. I would 100% recommend the tour to anyone wanting to travel Thailand and would select the same guides every time

I did the Thailand Experience tour and loved all the places we went to, especially Khao Sok. I wish I signed up for the 18 day tour to experience all of Thailand. I will definitely be back to see the parts I missed and will recommend Tru Travels to anyone wanting to do a guided tour there.
