She was wonderful in explaining the background, the history, customs and made us feel the culture and be a part of it. She was extremely professional in her job, made us feel like a family and definitely has made this experience more wholesome. It's my personal opinion that she is an individual with drive and enthusiasm for her work, with a high level of professionalism and dedication and unswayable moral compass.

Our group leader, Benmore Perb, made the whole experience seem effortless. She looked after us as individuals and as a group. She helped me bonding with the group and gave us space to be with eachother and on our own. She was always informative of every place we went. She had a pride for her country that encouraged us to be respectful and loving towards it too. She made us feel safe to enjoy the experience in a way that made us feel independent. The whole trip was unforgettable and for that I thank the time and effort to plan the epic places we went, our group leader Benmore and the wonderful country of Thailand. So thankful for this gift of an amazing and unforgettable trip.

I really loved the tour. From booking moment Steff was all the time responsive & very friendly. The transport from airport was super. When I got very bad motion sickness on the way to Pai from Chiang Mai, Ben was super helpful & she helped me to recover while I was crying from pain. She helped me with Tiger Balm & I recommend you to tell all your guides to give it to the tour participants on such difficult rides which are full of curves. She also changed her place with me in the car so I feel more comfortable for the rest of the ride. I loved every single thing we did on the tour, especially the waterpark was the highlight. It was the best thing I have ever done in my life. The group was also very friendly people & I enjoyed the tour with them. Ben was very responsible about informing us about what happens the next day & what we should bring & she kept the time. The accommodations were extremely good, big rooms, own showers, helpful staff, breakfast, Internet, swimming pool, near to shopping places, what more can I ask for ? I just loved this tour & I am sure if I had come to Thailand alone it would have never been this fun & organized with 0 problem. Thank you all and best regards,

I am so happy that i went on this tour and that i had Ben as my tour guide she made this trip 100x better and made me feel included and comfortable with the group.I was so nervous about coming on this tour and being in Thailand alone but Ben id such a good job of breaking the ice and getting everyone pumped for the excursion.Overall i would highly recommend this tour and definetly recommend Ben as a tour guide.She is the best!!!

At first I was hesitant to book a group tour as I thought they …From the moment I was picked up at BKK airport, Ben and Sunny have ensured that Ive felt comfortable, safe, happy and relaxed traveling. At first I was hesitant to book a group tour as I thought they would lack freedom and feel like a series of boxes of sights being checked off with no chance to actually enjoy and indulge in the experience. This tour has been anything but that! By myself, I would never have seen as much as Ive seen and done nor would I have had so much fun. The smaller group size was perfect as it meant we all got to know each other and didn't segregate into little groups or cliques.
My only negative, some days it felt like quite late in the day until we did any activities. I guess that if you had a group that partied hard it would be good, but for our group who didn't it felt a bit like extra time.
Ben and Sunny are both fantastic guides and a credit to Tru Travels. They both have such cheerful, kind, funny, and caring inclusive natures that instantly make you feel like they are your friend as well as bringing the group together to feel like one. I've particularly enjoyed listening to the knowledge they've shared of their country and its history that without them I believe I would never have quite gotten.
Honestly, I don't know how they can maintain such enthusiasm after visiting the same places multiple times before, alongside tiring travel away from their homes and families. In fact they had more stamina to party in the evenings than everyone in the group. Overall this trip has been fantastic first experience solo traveling. I've enjoyed almost every moment of it and every single day has surpassed expectations.

I’ve traveled a great deal internationally but have never traveled solo or with an …I’m late to leaving this review because I’ve been daydreaming ever since I got back from the Northern Thailand tour! I’ve traveled a great deal internationally but have never traveled solo or with an organized tour. Both of which I would HIGHLY recommend Trutravels for. I hesitated that a formal tour might not be packed with enough activities/adventures for my taste, WRONG! This tour was full of adventures that covered the touristy “must see” items but also got us off the beaten path to experience things I would have missed out on if not for TT local relationships. The jungle trek and Elephant sanctuary were amazing and my favorite parts of the tour. Both excursions were private with our tour only which added to the experience! Another crucial piece to my awesome experience was our guide, Ben! She exceeded my expectations, hands down an 11/10! Her warm, fun and accommodating personality made everyone feel comfortable and created an enjoyable environment wherever we went. She always had a pulse on the mood of the group and offered us a TON of alternative activities during our down time. I never felt like there wasn’t something cool to explore because she was always helpful with providing ideas. After taking this tour it became really apparent to me that although the itinerary is important and should suit your taste, THE GUIDE REALLY MAKES YOUR EXPERIENCE! I think Trutravels understands this important piece because most of the guides we met had similar demeanors and are all around great people. I left this tour with amazing new friends, new experiences and a new outlook on group tours :) I’ve already recommended this tour in particular and will definitely be using TT in the future!

The lanterns and fire show showed that extra effort Tru put in which made the night so memorable and special. Having a Thai tour guide at the Temples was so goof as we learnt things we wouldn’t know it travelling alone or with someone also a tourist. We learnt how to pray properly which I really appreciated. The 13 days were planned out well, including enough planned activities with a good amount of down time to chill/do whatever you wished on your own or with other members of the group. There were various highlights throughout the trip although the one that pops in my mind first is Bottle Beach, where the entire group, including the guides, all connected on a different level. I also really enjoyed the boat trip, getting blessed at the temples, the taxi rides and family dinners. The accommodations were certainly not 5 star hotels, however, you have to keep in mind that this is a backpacker tour! Don’t expect anything and simply make the best of everything! On another note, it is a unique experience where you will make friends with different people from around the world for a life time. I would recommend this trip to both solo travellers or groups. Like trutravels says, JUST GO!

My tour with Lish and Benmore as our group leaders was so much fun! I couldn't have asked fir a better 13 days. I've met some incredible people who I know I'll stay in touch with. I'm so sad to leave but I know I'll stay in touch with everyone!

The group leaders Lish and Benmore were enthusiastic 24/7 which rubs off on the rest of the group even when hungover. Activities were all I could have wanted and more than what is on the itinerary! My favorite activity would be the Challenge day, lots of fun and defo was a challenge. A favorite memory would be Bottle Beach as it was the first time, for me, it really felt like the Tru family & of course the Full Moon Party.
We love Benmore and I would recommend this tour to anyone, everyone fits in and has a good time, felt very safe with the people in our group and the places we have been.

So much covered/ and so much included. Great choice if you wanna cover Thailand in a short period of time. The quad bikes were so much fun and easy thing to do on a rainy/cloudy day as well. We did snorkeling around Koh Phangan and Koh Phi Phi and got to see baby sharks, turtles and monkeys at Monkey Beach! The floating bungalows were amazing. The challenge lake was really fun. We couldn't do slip n fly because it was closed so we did quad bikes around the island and everyone loved that! I did give a 5 for accomodation, not including Koh Phangan, we didn't get to stay in their normal Echo Beach Backpackers which would've been better, but otherwise everything was great!

My tour guides were Ben and Freddie, they both worked great together. Ben had the cultural knowledge, speaks the local language and helped us organise the journey back to Bangkok after the tour had finished. Freddie was very knowledgeable about the country, he kept the group well informed with the itinerary, was always making sure he was doing what the group wanted e.g. some people would want to head out for the night, Freddie would accompany the group, knew the local places to go and would always ensure we had a good night!
There are early starts to the tour but I found this to be a great thing as we would reach the next destination by lunch time and had time to relax. Although everyday consists of different activities the tour also provides time to relax and venture off alone if wanted. The group was a mix of people from various places around the world, the tour guides made the effort to make sure everyone felt welcome and interacted.
I would definitely travel with Tru Travels again and highly recommend the experience.

The accommodations where sometimes good sometimes not. We had often Bugs, spider and geckos in the bedrooms or directly on the bed.. The mattresses where just in 2 accommodations soft and comfortable in the other it was hard to lay on and the mattress springs you could feel with every move.
The trips what we did where all in all fun.
On our tour the organisation forgot to book the nighttrain from Ayutthaya to chiang mai so we had to took the nightbus. That was not comfortable, cause you couldn't lay down or straight your legs. We had to sit 8 hours and couldn't really sleep.

The tour was punctual, informative fun and such a fantastic way to meet other people and begin my first experience in Thailand! There was just the right balance of activities ranging from trekking, rafting, exploring markets and cultural landmarks e.g temples and fun!

On the trip I went on transportation went smoothly and it helped loads the fact the guides would tell us what to expect and what to take so we were always prepared which made moving around so smooth. Even the 16 hour train journey was fun! Accommodation surprised me the most with how lovely it was especially it Koh Sok and Phi Phi. I was doing the 18 day trip and went alone but never once felt alone on the whole trip!! Would so recommend

I did the 21 days Northern Thailand & Beaches. In the 2nd part of the tour we had lovely Patrick as our guide (great singer too) and Colin who was super cool and helpful.
The things I enjoyed the most where: zip lining in Chiang Mai and playing with the elephants.

Ben has this unique chilling attitude and she'd spread those positive vibes every day of the tour, helping to improve the dynamic of the group as well. We called her "Dj Benmore" cause she carried her portable speakers to every activity we had and that made them so much enjoyable. Great taste in music too.

The itinerary was great and we were kept busy but also had some freedom to do what we wanted to do too. The hostels we stayed at were all lovely, clean rooms, friendly staff and good WiFi! Since leaving the trip I have had help from both Tina and Ben with planning my forward journey and helping sort Visas. I couldn’t have asked for two better tour guides to come with us on the trip they really did make my experience.

They really made sure we were okay with our onwards travels and informed us of others places we could go in Thailand and other countries in Asia. From day one the group felt like a family and I have come away from this trip with new friends that I will stay in contact with. Including mark and benmore!! Every night we spent it as a group with mark being the one coming up with the ideas of what to do, including ridiculous drinking games! With that said I think it may take a month for my liver to recover! The only thing I could think of to improve the trip would be stay somewhere else other than koh phangan for a week.

My arrival was straight forward and very well organized when I was picked up. Benmore and mark gave us lots of cultural history behinds Thailand and the Thai people they taugh us how to respect and not offend Thai people lots of useful tips and basics to communicate with the locals which came in very useful, our daytime events were very well organized and clearly communicated and efficient we got to explore amazing places freely. Benmore was always in hand to capture the perfect picture ! I’m a picture girl and I love capturing the moment to take away with me so this ment a lot. Mark was available 24/7 and went all out to make sure eveyone was having the best time! In my opinion he went abouve and beyond and that’s how a group leader should be, you know you love had a good time when you genuinely didn’t want to leave to go home ! I always say it’s not about the destination but it’s about the people around you mark and Benmore made fab group leaders and helped me with all my onward travel plans which I now feel confident in. On a side note thank you mark for taking us to all the best spots and amazing views we saw I loved secret mountain the view was amazing up their I have some lovely pictures! I couldn’t recommend them both enough to anyone, both attentative and helpful as well as being knowledgeable and taking us to places not on the itinerary and suggesting cool things to do.
Even due to the kings cremation they made sure we all still enjoyed ourselves and it was so relaxed and easygoing tour that it never felt like you had to think about anything and could take it at your own pace whenever you wanted to.
Thanks Mark and Benmore for giving me an unforgettable 2 weeks. It was truly a pleasure to share it all with you both.

It’s a very full on 2 weeks as it includes SO much but we started a 3 month adventure with this trip so wanted to throw ourselves in at the deep end to make the most of our time away. Such good value for money and you’ll have the best time! The amount of time and effort you save from not having to book/plan all of the activities is so worth it. So many memories made with a great group.

It never felt like there was a hidden agenda (like some tours) and I felt like benmore genuinely cared about our individual experience. And what was great was that you could see benmore actually enjoyed her job. She never looked tired or fed up, she was always up for a laugh and was a great mixture of respectful Thai and raucous Brit! She also had a great, dry, sarcastic humour. She helped me track down a wireless charger when my phone broke, taught me expressions in Thai and the culture of Thai people and even helped treat my foot when I stood on a sea urchin. Ben went above and beyond every moment of the trip to make sure that we all had the best time and she was always there whenever we needed her. I had no idea tour guides could be this amazing. Transport: When looking for a holiday I wanted someone to point me which way to walk, what taxi to get into, what boat to get and have to think as little about organising anything and to be able to relax. This trip had just that, we got off boats and trains and our taxis were waiting, amazing! Couldn't have been any better.
Group: we were so lucky to have a group that bonded so well, it contributed to the holiday ten fold.
Guide: All these things would not have been possible without our guides. Not just any guides but the best of the best. Helpful, respectful, knowledgeable, genuine, entertaining, caring and catering to everyone's needs made the trip! Our tour guides Ben, Allie, Amanda and Gun made everything so fun and easy! Ben was so friendly and always willing to help if we needed anything at all! She was so lovely and I was so happy we had her as part of her tour - I miss her already and we only left her a few days ago! All the tour guides were really great!!
I would highly recommend this tour to any young traveller - solo or in a small group! I was a solo traveller and it was a perfect tour to go on! A great size group and so easy to make new friends!

The tour itself is fast paced and jam packed full of really great activities and additional options that ensure you really get to experience Thailand and miss nothing.

We had Ben as our Thai guide - she is a friend now and taught us so much about Thailand. She helped us out with any issues, especially ones needing a Thai speaker (for example my bank card got taken by an ATM and she got it back for me). Ben is an amazing person and made the trip so much fun.
Allie was our western guide for the first 8 days and again is more like a friend. She was our mate that knew what she was doing, no bossiness or taking control, she did things our way.
Amanda was our western guide for the final 10 days and had the same style as Allie, relaxed and more like a friend who knew what she was doing and organised loads of amazing things for us, like extra activities not included in the tour that we wanted to do.
Gun was a Thai guide on his trial tour and all I can say is he is going to make an incredible tour guide - so much fun and really knowledgeable.
All of the tour guides were awesome and we really got to experience all the different types of Thailand as it's such a diverse place. I would use tru travels again and would be so glad if any of the tour guides were with me.

She was always happy, excited and got everyone enthusiastic at all times...even when we were hungover. Got to see and do so much in just 23 short days on the full moon island hopper tour. From visiting 2 of the most prestigious temples in Bangkok where we got blessed by a monk, staying in floating bungalows at Koh Sok national park, crazy party nights at bottle beach, the famous full moon party in Koh phangan, hiking up to some of the most beautiful view points you'll ever see in Koh Tao, to kayaking around the waters of Krabi island, this tour has something for everyone. It was a perfect mix of seeing some of the cultural side of Thailand, crazy party nights, and chill days at the beach. The friends I've met along the way are friends I'll have for a life time and the memories I'm going home with are the stories I'll have to tell forever. On our trip we had the pleasure of having 3 amazing tour guides who all had so much knowledge about Thailand. Benmore, is probably the greatest person I've ever met in my life. Not only is she crazy fun to be around, she also can brighten anyone's day in a matter of seconds. She made communicating with locals 100 times easier and helped out with the trip so much. Ryan and Dan, probably the two Most outgoing tour guides I could of ever imagined. Never once did they actually feel like tour guides , more like friends who knew the land. They were very sociable, genuinely kind, and so unbelievably helpful. They knew all the great spots to take us to, all the best places to eat, where all the best nightlife was at, and most of all knew how to have a good time with us. All three of our tour guides did an amazing job, and I definitely give them props for handling over 50 of us so well. This trip exceeded my expectations and I wouldn't of wanted it any other way. I don't think there's any other way to describe this trip other then a trip of a lifetime. Cheers to a trip none of us will ever forget.

The tour guides were absolute class and made the entire tour a much more enjoyable experience. So much so, I would consider the tour guides as good friends and I am very hopeful that our paths cross again in the future.
Everything was well organised by the TruTravels team, including all transportation between islands and all accommodation, which made the trip completely stress free.
Even on our "chill days" the tour guides would organise fun activities for our group, and arrange any transportation to visit cool beaches, viewpoints, and bars.
I travelled solo and honestly, I found it so easy to meet people and make new friends who share the same passion of travelling. If I was to speak to anyone who is in two minds about doing this tour, I would strongly advise that they just go for it.
You are guaranteed to have the time of your life and have awesome memories with awesome people.

The 14 day tour: This trip had a great mixture of adventure, culture and nightlife. Although a bit tired by the end of it, the fully packed first 2 weeks were an awesome experience. The elephants, ziplining and the Chaing Mai temple were my biggest highlights.
Accommodation: Although none of the hostels were 5*, they were all relatively clean and had ok wifi. Even the hill tribe accommodation was good for what we needed, added to the experience of being in the jungle.
Transportation: There was a lot of days spent just travelling which should maybe be made clearer in the itinerary, although it didn't take away from the trip as we had 2 weeks. However all of the transport we took was in good condition and most had good air conditioning.
Leaders: Amanda and Ben, were both brilliant leaders. They worked very well as a team and you could tell that they were friends which helped to bring everyone together. Amanda was great at getting a lot of photographs which gave us awesome memories and she always made sure we knew what the full plan for the next day was. Ben was great fun, always smiling and always making sure all of our activities and transportation were ready to go so that the trip was virtually seamless. Ben also did a great job of introducing us to Thai culture, which I fell in love with a bit. Together they made a good team, making the whole trip better for it.
The 8 day tour: The 8 day tour had a much more relaxed vibe during the day and better party atmosphere in the evening. Highlights being the day at Koah Sok national park and the night at Bottle beach.
Accommodation: Some of the places we stayed on this trip were just unbelievable, Koah Sok national park and bottle beach in particular were beautiful. The accommodation it's self is ok but the locations were perfect.
Transportation: This tour had almost 3 full days of travelling to each location which really took away from the trip over all as it felt like a much shorter trip for it, again this should be clearer in my opinion. The night train was also not a great experience as there was no air conditioning and bugs in the beds. I know that almost everyone on my trip would have been happy to pay at least £15 extra to be in the carriage (next to us) with air conditioning.
Leaders: Allie and Bee. Allie was great fun, she knew how to bring everyone together to get to know each other in such a short period of time, she's also got great music taste. Bee was extremely friendly and the one who made sure everything and everyone was organised. Bee also was lovely enough to get out of bed early hours in the morning to help a guy on our tour out of a sticky situation in Bangkok. Between them they were great leader team.
Overall: The 21 day Thailand experience is the perfect mixture of adventure, culture, relaxing and partying. The tour takes all of the worry out of travelling as everything is planned out for you, meaning no need to worry about what to do the next day or worrying about transportation. Being on a tour also meant I made life long friends as spending 14/8 and even 21 days with a group of people you get to know them extremely well and it makes the entire trip more enriching for it. I will remember this trip and the people on it for the rest of my life.

- Awesome group of young adventurous and fun individuals on the group.
- The bungalows were AMAZING. Beach and floating... very minimalist, but a fantastic experience!
- Khao Sok is gorgeous! I wish we would have stayed a little longer.
- Bottle beach also gorgeous, also wish I would have stayed longer!
- Koh Phangan is a very laid-back backpacker town. Fun people and parties. The hostel we stayed in had great AC and was very clean and friendly vibe. LOVED THE DOGS!
Things that could have made the trip a little better:
- Hostel in Bangkok was not very good. Our bathroom was flooded the entire time and the rooms were hot, however, you can't beat the location. It was walking distance from Khao San Road and the shopping and restaurants right around the hostel was awesome compared to the rest of the city.
- We were in Bangkok a little too long. I wish I would have arrived the day the tour started instead of the day before like the website suggested. Bangkok was hot and busy and I much rather enjoyed the rest of the trip better. I would have preferred to have stayed in Koh Phangan an extra day instead of Bangkok!
TIPS!
- Bring extra bug spray and sunblock. If you choose to bring a carry-on, buy 2 bottles that are the appropriate size to go through TSA for both bug spray and sun block. YOU WILL RUN OUT and you WILL need to have it on you at all times!
- Bring wet wipies! They saved my life. There is no toilet paper anywhere in Thailand!
- No need to bring any fancy clothing or over-pack. Trust me, you'll need the space in your bag for all the awesome things you'll buy there. It's so cheap!
- If you do the hike in Bottle Beach: WEAR SNEAKERS + tons of bug spray and sun black. Take a small backpack to carry your camera and a LARGE water bottle bc you'll need it! The hike is pretty advanced and I don't recommend it for anyone that gets easily scared of heights. To reach the best view point we had to climb a huge rock and walk along a very narrow strip to reach the edge, but it is WELL WORTH IT!

Our tour guides were Benmore, Itchy and Alex and they were young and full of energy with a cheerful attitude. Being one of the oldest in the group (I'm only 30 but most of the group were in their early 20s) I felt rejuvenated to say the least! These guys really know how to party and stay active throughout the trip and keep the energy up at all times. They never showed frustration even though I can imagine being responsible for a large group must be difficult. And they made sure to keep a smile on their face and happily answer questions and help you out with anything and everything you needed.
The only thing I'd say to make the experience a little better (maybe bc I'm "so old") would be to have some more down time. Pretty much everywhere we went it was stop and go stop and go. The itinerary was jammed packed, but understandably so because there is just so much to see and do in the beautiful country!
We were fortunate enough to be in Bangkok during Songkran (Thai New Year) and it was SO much fun! Water fights pretty much everywhere you go for three straight days. Bangkok is pretty cool, but I was there too long. I arrived a day before the tour started and stayed another 2 1/2 days after the tour ended. I would suggest planning to arrive the day your tour starts because we don't really do anything until dinner in the late afternoon. Bangkok is easily done in 2 days.
Khao Sok - HOLY COW. I wish I could have stayed there longer! It literally felt like a dream. So remote, peaceful and scenic. The water is fresh and calm and so delicious to swim in. I also loved the food at our Bungalow resort.
Bottle beach was absolutely gorgeous. Again we weren't there long enough :( I did a hike with 2 others from the group, 1 of our tour guides, and a Thai guide to lead us up the "mountain" (I'd definitely consider it a mountain!) The Thai guide told us that we'd be able to do the hike in our sandals, but I think he hadn't considered that most of us aren't used to ROCK-climbing practically barefoot in extremely hot weather. Needless to say, it was extremely difficult. I'm not a HUGE trekker. I'm from Miami, FL so the majority of hikes we have are all on flat land. But I have done a couple of hikes in the Dominican Republic and California, in which I was prepared for (SNEAKERS). A little advice to anyone who attempts this strenuous, but EXTREMELY rewarding hike (once you reach the top) is to DEFINITELY wear sneakers, put on a lot of sunblock and bug-spray, and take a little backpack to hold your camera and a large water bottle. I wish I would have been warned a bit more, but I understand it was our tour guide's first time so I can't really blame him!
Koh Phangan was amazing! Definitely a back-packer town. Very laid back and lots of partying. I was pleasantly surprised by the snorkeling on the Booze cruise. It was gorgeous! I didn't drink much on the booze cruise because I wasn't a fan of the type of liquor that was provided, but I still had a fantastic time as it was the last day with the group and by this point we were all besties.
Ultimately, the tour was fantastic for such a low price. Its definitely a backpacker-type trip. You're on the go at all times and staying in hostels and bungalows so theres no need for fancy clothes or over-packing. Definitely suggest taking a backpack instead of a rolly and lots of WIPIES! There is NO toilet paper in barely any of the bathrooms. Wipies saved my life! Also definitely take a good supply of bug-spray and sunblock. We ran out of bug spray and got eaten alive.
I highly suggest this tour for anyone looking for an adventure and meeting new people. You're traveling with a group the entire time so you're bound to create lasting friendships!

It was my first time travelling anywhere solo and I was a bit nervous - I needn't have worried. My guides, Alex, Itchy and Ben looked after us all and made sure everyone had a great time and got involved.
They really went above and beyond, from Alex coming during his free time to take some of our group to a tattoo parlour to Itchy and Ben taking us to an *amazing* infinity pool in Koh Phangan the day after the tour ended shows you what a great job they do.
And on top of this my group were amazing!
Highlights of the tour:
Being soaked by a child sitting on the front of his parents motorbike with a water gun whilst riding in the back of a Tuk Tuk ..(due to it being Thai New Year, not guaranteed with every tour sadly)
Being given our blessing/fortunes read at Wat Pho temple in Bangkok.
Riding around the backwaters of Bangkok in a long tail boat
Thai massage - OMG. Do it. Better than a Swedish one (was a bit nervous as thought it might be painful, its definitely unusual but amazing)
Tips:
- Bring Factor 50/high protection Sunscreen (I brought Factor 20 with me..rookie mistake - as if I haven't owned my Irish skin for the past 27 years. Learn from me please!)
- Bring an eye mask and earplugs for Bangkok sleeper train (they don't dim the lights and can be a bit noisy with the hustle and bustle of Thai life -also bring a hoody to get cosy in as it can get actually get cold on here ha.)
- Powerbanks x 2/3! When you get to the floating bungalows in particular, power doesn't come on until the evening so if you want to take phone photos here definitely bring a power bank or 2 (& you *will* want to take photos here, this is the national park and absolutely beautiful).
- Thai Sim Card - equivalent of about 6 UK pounds and you get data almost everywhere. Worth it can buy from any of the many 7/11s around just ask Ben for help :-)
- If you are there for Thai New Year (Son Kran) wear swimwear under everything for the first few days - you will get soaked at any moment.
- Just go! :-) amazing trip, you won't regret it!! Thanks again to Tru Travels for a great trip!

This ended up being one of the most memorable experiences of my life. I feel very fortunate to have been able to explore Thailand with the group and guides that I did. We had a perfect mix of people from all over the world and were able to do so much in such a short amount of time. Our guides, Amanda and Benmore, were absolute sweethearts as well! Never did it feel like they were just tour guides, but rather part of the group that knew their way around. I now consider both to be friends and would tour with them again in a heartbeat. Everything was planned very well, they made everyone feel extremely comfortable and answered any questions we had. We all created such a strong bond over 8 days that it was definitely heartbreaking to leave. I truly wish I could have stuck around for the full 18 day trip but this gives a reason to return, hopefully with Amanda and Ben for Northern Thailand!

I can go home a happier person, ready to tackle life once again ONLY because of my time spent with TruTravels and the wonderful family I've found.

This was the first tour I have ever been on and I was completely unsure whether this would be something I would enjoy. Within hours of getting to Thailand and meeting Amanda and Ben I was absolutely sure we had done the right thing, they were so easy to talk to, informative, welcoming and friendly. Amanda and Ben were amazing throughout the tour; they had so much energy and managed to organise and bring all 23 of our group together to have some of the best times. Ben and Amanda were incredibly helpful, warm, and approachable and they were so much fun to be with. Both Amanda and Ben were so dedicated throughout to making sure we all had the best time and did everything we wanted to do. I felt that I managed to do and see so much within the 8 day tour and Ben and Amanda were brilliant in helping us to plan our onward travel as we were there for another week following the tour. Amanda and Ben were definitely more our friends then our tour leaders. I have made some of the best memories and had the most amazing two weeks of my life and Amanda and Ben are a massive factor in that. My week tour with them was stress free yet jam packed with activities and I would 100% go on tour again, especially with Amanda and Ben and I have recommended them and going on tour to family and friends!

I was really nervous as to what was to come, how welcoming the people would be, and what the language barrier would be like. Upon arrival the TruTravels staff made me feel nothing short of at home. My tour guides were enthusiastic, welcoming, loving, and very fun. I may be biased, but I can honestly say I don't think my experience would have been the same without Alex, Itchy and Ben. They fit right in, are easy to talk to and help you with anything you need, whether it be food allergies, travels, suggestions for after the tour. I saw so many incredible parts of Thailand through this company and am already looking into a tour of Bali as well.

But in all honesty once it was booked we both did not do much research on Thailand or the trip for that matter (rather naively). So when it came round to the trip we where both quite nervous and after travelling 20 hours tired and nervous we where greeted in Bangkok by our guide Amanda, with her calming energy all the nerves simply melted away and after 5 minutes talking to her we where both filled with excitement. From this point forward every step we took just simply got better and better! From there we left for our first hotel in Bangkok which was top class. There we met our 22 strong group a very diverse group of personalities from several different countries which was exciting in itself. The first night we went for a delicious meal where we broke the ice before hitting khao San road which was one of the best nights of my life ("best night/day of my life" is a strong theme of this trip as each day truly got better and better) and after that we had all bounded really well.
You might think that 8 days isn't long enough and if that's all you can do I can't stress enough that all though the 18 days would of been great the experiences I had on the 8 day tour I honestly don't think I would of done half of what I did if I where to do it without the tour to for a month! The tour was seamless, effortless in fact. There where no worries about anything our tour guides handled absolutely everything leaving us as a group to simply bond and enjoy the whole experience!
And in the end our group was nothing less than a family, friends made for life.
Onto our hosts, starting with Ben.
Ben was our Thai host a complete fountain of Thai knowledge, ANYTHING you could ask she knew. I'm Simply incredible! And just a mountain fun, every time we spoke she had me laughing.
Onto Amanda, for me one of the highlights of the trip. From the onset her incredible energy lifted the whole group. Her patience, compassion and attentiveness was simply incredible. She would break her back to make sure each and everyone of us was having the best time possible a true diamond of a person that is made for her posistion in true travels. Simply top class!
So to some up anyone thinking going on this tour with trutravels DON'T hesitate you will not be disappointed!
Last point (so cliche but so true) I am not the same person as I was leaving for this trip, an unforgettable experience and memory's made that I will treasure for the rest of my life!
