I chose Tru because of the attention t…I had an amazing experience and enjoyed every second of it! as my first tour i was a bit apprehensive and had looked at many different companies before booking.. I chose Tru because of the attention to detail and how easy they seemed to make everything. Before i had left the communication from Tru was brilliant and very detailed and done a lot to east any worries i had! the airport pick up couldn't have been easier and our Leader was amazing and so helpful. Sadly half way through our tour she look sick but Justin took over and made sure the rest of our trip was amazing. We were a very small group of 3 so he listened to us and tailored things to our wants and interests. Overall the whole Experience was amazing with lots to see and do and excellent accommodation. I took an ear infection while away and was able to call upon the leader for help and took me to a pharmacist for medication which was greatly appreciated. Overall everything was great and i'd do it again in a heartbeat!

The elephants sanctuary day was my favourite by far - The main reason we chose the trip was due to the fab itinerary.
Pickup from the airport was 10/10. On a previous trip it was not as good since we could not find the person collecting us for an hour, and it was more unclear. Having a trutravels Sign is much better than writing names on a piece of paper.
I would definitely recommend this trip to a friend.
Again, my experience was made by Minnie being such a fantastic group leader. Cant express this enough!
NTA was an amazing tour. I enjoyed the floating markets and being able to bargain for items. The temples throughout the tour were breath taking. Even visiting the WW2 Hut i learned about a different point of view of the war than what i was taught in school. The jungle trek was extremely hard But the village stay was amazing! just getting there was a struggle. The Elephant sanctuary was my favourite day by far and im so glad its part of the tour. The road trip to and from Pai was tough, but Pai was amazing and the street food was amazing. Overall The tour was fun, informative and an experience of a lifetime. I would recommend it to anyone and everyone who ask about it or is thinking about travelling to thailand. Thanks Minnie for Making it wonderful 2 weeks

Group Leader :
Minnie was fab - Her knowledge about Thailand was excellent. i learnt so much on this trip. She was brilliant from start to finish. It was easy to find her at the airport. ( i was quite anxious about this as as our previous trip in Bali, we couldn't find the leader for an hour.) However Minnie regained my confidence. She made the tour so much fun and included everyone in the activities. She always checked if everyone was okay and was always there (in person or in messenger), If there was any problems. Minnie was the best tour guide i've ever had . definitely no room for improvement!

Really miss her and hope we stay in contact! The elephant day and grand canyon water park were probably my highlights! i think the jungle trekking was good but i think they should be a warning for how hard it is but i quite enjoyed the exercise. This is my second Trutravels tour ( did Bali experience last year) and i will want to come on more and more! definitely worth all the money with the pack itinerary.

Northern Thailand Adventure truly lives up to its name. I was greeted at the airport by Minnie, Who took me back to our hotel, showing me all the good spots around the hotel to check out before the to…Northern Thailand Adventure truly lives up to its name. Once it started, The Jam packed itinerary kept us busy every day, with highlights including the "James Bond" boat in Kanchanaburi, The natural water slides at the Erawan Waterfalls and staying with the hill tribes in Chiang Mai. One moment from the trip that will stick with me is watching the monks doing their evening chanting in the Chiang Mai Hill temple, while the wind caused thousands of little bells to chime in the wind creating a beautiful moment i will never forget.
I felt the NTA is the perfect balance of culture , adventure and chill for anyone wanting to see the real Thailand & Minnie is the perfect guide to see it with.

Mini was incredible from the day I met her she made everyone feel welcome and never pressured anyone into something they didn't want to do what's up her personality came across extremely well. I had the best first two weeks especially traveling myself made a lot of new friends.
I would highly recommend the Erawan waterfalls - they were extremely picturesque! The hill tribe and home state was I opening an amazing to have an insight into the family's lives.
I've had an exceptional time on this tour and 100% wouldn't be the same without the joyful and bubbly an extremely informative many thank you.
Total Thailand as a whole was great and I had so much fun North Thailand - value for money ,excellent, South Thailand so beautiful.
How soaked was incredible I would highly recommend I wish we spend some more time in Phuket maybe an extra night.

And every place we went to, many gave us so much interesting information and was always able to answer every question. it was amazing to learn from many about the places we went and a culture of Japan. For me, this was brilliant because the cultural education from Minnie and something I would not have been able to gain without her and the store! Most importantly, Minnie is so enthusiastic about everything she taught us showed us it was clear how much she loves it and it makes it so much more interesting and fun!
Minnie seems to really care about each of us and our experience here, she is so warm and friendly and always wants to do what she can to improve our experience, it is truly amazing!
Every activity that we took part in was so well-planned and so much fun. In particular, the stay in the jungle was an incredible experience, as well as the elephant Sanctuary. I was amazed by how many activities were in the itinerary - every day has been packed full of fun - such good value for money. - another thing that I would not have been possible without trutravels is the floating market in kanchanaburi, which I would have hated to miss.

When we arrived, many made me feel welcome to the group and itinerary was explained clearly.
In terms of the activities on the trip they match the description and were fun and interesting.
I feel the more longer or active activities or well-planned out to ensure we had the time to rest up .
the transport between the tourist for smooth-running and we were always offered brakes to make sure we could stretch use the toilet or eat.
Even in the evenings our activities organised by our tour were varied, cultured and fun.
because I felt so at home and comfortable with any tour and group I will keep in contact and hopefully booked for another trip next year! Think I could fault.

There's nothing I I didn't want to see offer on this tour. We seen everything important in the north of Thailand. There are no words to describe all of the things we've done. Our lovely guide Minnie was awesome and she kept all of us happy during the trip. all in all I can say that this was that this was one of the best trip of my life.

The whole tour we had a very good leader, we always had all the information or if we were unsure we could just ask Minnie and she would reply just back. Also for further information with no contact with the actual tour, she always took time looking for us and explain everything clearly.
The very best part of the tour was the two-day jungle trekking where, Minnie prepared us dinner and breakfast which was so delicious. Additional to this she also made suggestions about what to do in the evening so everyone had a really good time.
In conclusion I would really love to do more travel experience with true travels and especially with our best tour guide Minnie ever.! I'm looking forward for the next few days at the southern tour

The best experience was to Jungle trekking and the Elephant camp! We were able to get so close to the elephants, just incredible!
We also had some great nights out with the group. Many brought us to some unique spots, I really enjoyed.
During the two weeks the group of random people turn into a close group of friends and family. Some of us are even continue to travel together after the tour.
I would totally recommend this tour to anyone who wants to experience Thailand including a huge variety of activities! Hope to see you soon Minnie xxx

I especially enjoyed the jungle trekking... It was a great experience to”llive” there for a night and a food Minnie cooked for us was adorable. I also like the elephants actually a lot and I appreciate it that they don't offer to ride on an elephant!
In conclusion, the trip was perfect and I'm very sad that it was over so quickly.

The village we stayed at after the trek was amazing, and I loved that part, I just wish there was an alternate route to take to get to it. I loved the floating market and visiting the many, many temples. Each one was unique and I enjoyed the information given at each one. Visiting the elephant sanctuary was the absolute highlight of the tour for me. I enjoyed being able to visit very different cities and have unique experiences in each.

I would highly recommend the Northern part of this tour! Another great aspect of the tour was Minnie’s love for taking pictures, capturing every moment! We never had to ask her to take pictures! I had an absolute ball on this part of the tour and a few highlights were the Erawan waterfalls, jungle trek and the elephant sanctuary! Pai street food was to die for! Minnie was exceptional and extremely enthusiastic when it came to giving recommendations as to where to eat and every time we ate as a group the food was fantastic! The accommodation throughout the northern tour was great, a few hard beds but bearable when you’ve been travelling so much! Overall I have nothing that I would change about the way Minnie ran the tour!!

My friends and I have never been to Thailand or this far from the UK before so we were all feeling slightly nervous about the whole experience and we were unsure how the 14 days would work. With TruTravels you get a guide. Our guide Minnie, was incredible! As soon as we arrived she made us feel at peace and we knew we could trust her. She was always ready and willing to answer every questions that we had and assure us throughout each destination. Her crazy dancing and laugh were infectious and made us all feel at ease, and made the whole trip so much more fun. It was like she was a friend who was on the trip with us. She even helped us with learning Thai culture, food and helped us learn some of the language. As well as turning into a pro photographer when we needed her to take some snaps. The whole experience was relaxed and we were never worrying as Minnie was there to help us with what we needed and we knew we could count on her. She was honestly amazing and made the experience so much better for us! Couldn’t have asked for a better guide. TruTravels is such a great, reliable and fun company to travel with that really balances the physical and relaxing parts of the trip. From partying on an island, to chilling by the beach. She is the right person for this position with a creative personality, always attentive within first-aid (which I needed during the Bottle beach) and involved with every group activity. During my last tour, the guide compared to my new one (Minnie) there was a clear difference between the two on a professional level. Minnie needs to be credited on her people skills and her burst of day within the tour. She has been a divine delight to work with ; this is the position she should work in. TruTravels has been an experience and a half for me. With Minnie my tour guide being the one person who I've found refuge in and a responsible adult figure within. Because of Minnie I will consider doing a TruTravels tour with again as I feel she has reassured my confidence within tour guides on a professional level.

By travelling with TruTravels we have been able to experience so much more than if we were travelling individually. Our guide Minnie was amazing, she was so knowledgeable about the places she took us and had a real passion for her job. In the duration of our trip she was a guide, nurse, councillor and most importantly our friend! I felt like I had known the group for ages by the second day and I have definitely made friends for life. Thank you TruTravels for an awesome tour and we will be seeing you again very soon!

What i loved about the tour was that it contains some activities i wouldn't necessarily choose to do but if you throw yourself in to them you'd be so surprised at how much you enjoy them. Elephants sanctuary, Jungle hiking and Pai canyon were personal highlights of mine and provided experiences and views that i will never forget!
The face that Minnie was so knowledgeable of the culture and history really helped when we were visiting a variety of temples as she was able to explain customs and answered all the questions thrown at her.
The tour was everything i imagined and more and i'm so grateful to Minnie for making the experience a thousand times better. She really is the best tour guide and you can tell how passionate she is about her job. I would definitely recommend this trutravels tour to anyone that likes adventure, culture and having lots on fun on the way! Love you Minnie!

We had some amazing food and the cooking class was definitely a highlight. The elephant sanctuary is also something i'll remember forever. All of the accommodation was clean and close to good shops and restaurants.

All of the activities have been incredible and i have really surprised myself by loving activities that i wasn't looking forward to so much the accommodation exceeded my expectations in every destination we stayed in! it can be very daunting travelling on your own and despite reading 100 reviews you can still never be fully relaxed however Trutravels and out tour Guide Minnie have been so beyond amazing! i would recommend this company to anyone and cant wait to travel with trutravels again!

Minnie was absolutely lovely and made my whole tour. Would deffo recommend! The tour itself was also class, was a great way to meet new people and explore a new city/area in a group!

I had an amazing eight days traveling in southern Thailand. Khao Sok National Park was my favorite part of the trip. Having Bottle Beach almost exclusively to our tour group was also a highlight, as well as the viewing point at Bottle Beach. I was a little disappointed that I didn't have the opportunity to snorkel during the boat trip, but I understand that sometimes the weather isn't in your favor. Minnie was a great group leader. She always had a positive attitude and made my experience more valuable. She does an amazing job distributing her time with each person on the tour and puts in an effort trying to get to know everyone.

As for the tour guide I really cannot give this person enough praise. She was so lovely and welcoming as we arrived to Bangkok and made us feel very much at home. Her knowledge and experience really is second to none. Minnie works so hard every day making sure everyone knows what the plans are and if there is any questions she is always happy to answer. Minnie done her absolute best to ensure we were happy to participate in the activities and if we had any issues she always had an alternative. For the last 14 days Minnie has not stopped smiling and she's got a brilliant sense of humour. Anything that needed to be explained she explained it clearly. Minnie takes immense pride in her work and that is really reflected in how she conducts herself everyday. Everyday we had some exciting new fun activity to do! The activities and day trips were so informative and it really felt like you were experiencing the Thai culture. As your days were busy site-seeing it was great that the itinerary included just the right amount of chill time to recharge your batteries before heading off again. I have so many memories from this trip that I will keep with me forever! My personal highlight was the elephant sanctuary. It was more incredible than you can even imagine! The elephant sanctuary + Chang Mai Canyon were just amazing! so much fun + such amazing experience they were literally 10/10 for me!
I only had 2 weeks off work so TruTravels tours for me are perfect as it takes all the stress out of travelling with a great bunch to travel with swell as some great hidden treasure that only a local would know about such as the amazing restaurants we go to

The jungle trek was so uplifting and such an eye opener to how some people live. The local people were amazing, so welcoming and friendly. The kiddies there were so cute and made the experience. From activities to the nights out, playing cards/drinking games to the people on the tour, Minnie that always had a smile on her face, to experiencing the culture. I was taken care from start to finish. It has been a life long dream for me to travel the world and this tour has been a fantastic way of beginning to fulfil this. I would like to thank Minnie for her enthusiasm, professionalism and expertise its giving me a holiday i will never forget. There have been so many great experiences from this trip, however I think bottle beach has been my favourite. When i think of the word "Paradise" this is what i envisage! The palm trees, the blue sea and the beach huts, all make this an idyllic settling and I would have loved to stay longer. The time on this trip has gone by so fast. I am so pleased that so many memories have been able to be packed into such a short space of time. It also didn't feel rushed, as we also had enough free time to relax, so this trip is perfect for someone who doesn't have alot of time to travel.This tour has meant that i have been able to see the highlights of Thailand by people who know the area without the stress of having to get from place to place by myself. I enjoyed the mix of culture, action, party and relaxing a lot. Thai people are so friendly and Im happy that I got a small overview about how they live and about their habits. I really had fun at all the activities we did and Im thankful for all the new impressions. I can't say exactly which activity I loved most but if I had to order I would say first goes to the elephants and the cooking course! It was breathtaking for me to be so close to those beautiful creatures and charming animals. And the cooking course was a great experience because I love cooking at home and now I can cook some Thai food! I will never forget that we set a wok on fire! In the end I'm just thankful for everything we did in these two weeks and especially for all the lovely people I got to know!

My favorites of the trip were the elephants in Chiang Mai, Chiang Mai Grand Canyon water park and Pai coffee shop. The leaders Delaney and Minnie were incredible and helped make all the activities amazing.

It was very fun, a funny head chef, delicious food, and great company! This is a fast paced trip so I would recommend it for very activity oriented people!

Both our guides, Lish and Minnie were great. They are both super easy going and willing to help in any way they can. They also make a great team and balance each other perfectly.

The trek as a great adventure into the jungle, but playing with the elephants and feeding them was an experience like no other! The final day at the Chiang Mai Canyon was super exciting and the caves at Pai were stunning! Our group became one big family. Everyday since day one we always had a wonderful time. Seeing temples, learning about Thai history, chasing waterfalls, treecking through a jungle or just relaxing with the travel family & renting scooters. There wasn’t a single moment we weren’t having fun! Once agin a HUGE SHOUT OUT TO Lish & Minnie for making my travel experience the best it could possibly have been :).

However the people I met I will never forget, they made the tour so special!! In particular the tour guides, Minnie was clearly so passionate when she spoke about Thailand and the culture behind it. Minnie has got to be one of the most "out there" and bubbly people I've ever met making it that much easier to relax and be yourself!! Minnie left no doubt in my mind that any questions or worries I had, she would have the answer. Me and my friends have completed a further two months of travelling and I'd still not hesitate to contact Minnie if I ever felt the need for advice. Minnie and her fellow guides (Mark and Alana) really made the tour something to remember. Each guide was great fun and made sure everyone was happy and up for a good time. They happily spent time with you and each co-traveller and put the effort in to learn a little about them. All in all made the travel easy and fun!

I say 'guides' as yes they 100% took care of every little detail and were so informative but most importantly they were like travel buddies met along the way, such fun chilled people! Couldn't have asked for better people to lead the trip. All the accomo was good - echos being my favourite 10:10! & every activity did not disappoint. Was sad the trip had to come to an end, but will definitely be traveling with TruTravels again!

Our tour guides Amanda, Alanna and Minnie were brilliant for the whole tour. Amanda was attentive, fun loving and enthusiastic for the full 18 days. She would answer any questions that we had and her superb organisational skills ensured that the whole tour ran smoothly. Her passion for travelling was clear throughout the whole trip and it is obvious that she absolutely loves Thailand. She was caring and a genuinely lovely person. Like Amanda, Alanna was also fun loving and enthusiastic. She was always there to ensure that you had the best time whilst on tour and I honestly believe that her future tour groups will be very lucky to have her as their tour guide. We were very lucky to also have Minnie join us for the final 10 days and her energy was infectious. She really made sure that everyone enjoyed themselves regardless of the activity! She also helped out when we needed advice and educated everyone on Thai culture.
I can honestly say that on this tour I experienced some wonderful things, met some incredible people and made memories that will last a lifetime. I firmly believe that the tour was as good as it was due to Amanda, Alanna and Minnie. Thank you to you all for a wonderful tour, I want to do it all over again!

I couldn't have asked for three better tour leader Amanda, Alanna and Minnie these three girls truly made this tour extraordinary and they all went that extra mile. I see these beautiful girls as friends now not just my tour leaders. Alanna and Amanda truly were the best dance partner and personal photographers. Got some wicked shots thanks to you girlies. Minnie was absolutely brilliant such an amazing personality and character. The last two nights in illuzion with Amanda were incredible we had a proper laugh and she truly danced till sunrise with me. The trip itself has been amazing and we truly saw the best of Thailand and the most amazing view points. It was so well organised and took all the stress of organising out of it. As everything was arranged for you. I've been to Thailand many times and I truly believe it was very good value for money. It was really something different from the other journeys I had and I was a little bit apprehensive about it. But now that I came back I really would like to do it again a million of times. And that Is in part due to our fantastic tour guides. I felt safe and followed and that there was nothing to worry about thanks to our amazing, funny, friendly, joyful, captivating, helpful, attentive, diligent and meticolous, patient tour guides: Minnie and Amanda. I said patient also because I'm Italian and the other guys from the tour spoke English as their original language, so Minnie and Amanda understood that sametimes I was feeling uncomfortable with the language and they were very willing to repeat things that I maybe didn't understand or to try speak slower for me that i was the only one not speaking well English. Minnie also has a powerful voice that has permitted to be heard clearly even when Amanda lost her own for the continuos shouting in order to explain things to all the group. (45 people are a lot... but lots of people, lots of fun! ;P) But I liked them not only as guides but till the point to consider the two of them as my new beloved friends!
I don't have nothing to complain about! Only beautiful memories that I will treasure in the box of my most beautiful experience. ;D
To Minnie in particular I would like to say that I really prize her for the energy and power she infuse! And for her everlasting beautiful smile!

Due to complications getting through immigration at the airport Tom and I missed our lift to the hotel, we contacted Amanda and both Alanna and Amanda came to pick us up straight away. They were both so friendly and approachable and we instantly felt like we could relax and everything was taken care of. During the car journey to the hotel Alanna informed us that she was new to Tru Travels which we would have never guessed. She knew what she was doing, we would have never known she was new to the company. Alanna was professional and confident and we felt like we were in safe hands. Alanna left the tour after 8 days and we gained Minnie later on into the tour. Alanna, Amanda and Minnie were always up for fun, full of life and so approachable. All three tour guides were very professional, helpful and friendly. Amanda made an extra effort to get to know us all individually which was appreciated as it added more of a personal touch.

It was my first time traveling to Thailand and I think coupling a few days in Chiang Mai on my own with TruTravel's 18 Day Island Hopper tour was the best way I could've gone about it (arrive in Bangk…It was my first time traveling to Thailand and I think coupling a few days in Chiang Mai on my own with TruTravel's 18 Day Island Hopper tour was the best way I could've gone about it (arrive in Bangkok early so that you can visit the Grand Palace, which is not included in the itinerary). The tour's itinerary allowed me to experience a lot of southern Thailand's major spots, including some that I wouldn't have known about on my own, with a fun-loving group of people for a relatively great price. I also really liked that we had the flexibility to do other/additional activities on our own if we wanted to. I was initially in a group of around 20 with Minnie (and very briefly with Dave) before our group combined with another that came to be led by Itchy, Daniel, and Patrick. The guides were all knowledgeable, very prompt at responding to messages, and fun to be around. They do their jobs well and truly want to make sure that you are enjoying your time. Each brought something different to the table that I think contributed to the group's dynamic. They should all be given a raise and more days off ASAP so that they can come visit me in California some day (:
Some critiques: I wish that we were put in sleeper trains WITH A/C on our way to Khao Sok National Park and would have preferred another hostel over the TruTravel-owned Echo Beach Backpackers Hostel in Ko Phangan to be honest. Also, two 1 hour sessions at Surf House Phuket was not enough, especially since we were in a large group. I think a lot of the people in my group were more bothered by the fact that we were split very unevenly between the two sessions for some reason... You could tell TruTravels tries to cut their costs in these areas, but the overall positive experience of the trip outweighed these minor downsides.

Had an amazing time on the half moon tour it was a great start to my Thailand adventure and everything ran smoothly from the very beginning. I met some great friends and had fun every day (and night!). The places we visited were beautiful and I fell in love with the South immediately. Our guides were fantastic would highly recommend Adam and Minnie they were always there to help and nothing was too much trouble. We got to do so much more Than I would have being on my own in such a short space of time. Being at echo for a while I met some of the other tour guides and they are all lovely and friendly, they are like a little family and I would definitely go on another tour with any of them.

No history and/or lack of information provided by tour guide on any of visited areas- just take you to the area and says that’s that but no extra information; but things were on time. All and all, would not advise this tour, it was a not worth the money spend(wish I could get money back) for the time and activities. Cheers!!!
